Maybe, and that is why Im thinking not to go shopping this time, well except for Hoops who has to. I suppose if one of us goes shopping we can have the other buy stuff for them and then trade, but I dont have enough gold to buy stuff for you

I thought we just did a general search action, can we investigate specific parts of the room?

I'm going to cast "Detect Magic" on our room to make sure nothing goofy is going on - just in case you wanted to see those results before searching the room.

Obviously I'm going to try and take any magic items I detect, but this might help keep you from unleashing some kind of trap on us.

Your choice - wait for me to do my thing, or push ahead with whatever you think you'll get from your own searching efforts.

I think Detect Magic won't be an action - since the heal self ability is not.

But if it is a choice between the two, I have to go to the Djinni since I'm so short on basic supplies.

As far as the poison damage goes.. abe could have just been using damage types.. necrotic damage.. poison damage.. etc.. might not actually mean you are poisoned.

I think we should travel along the same ring of difficulty until we level.. at the earliest.. we really aren't upgrading our equipment, so thats also a concern.

I could have been more friendly about this if I had thought you had any interest in helping my cause earlier in the dungeon. But the situation is what it is at this point, so those are the terms.

Some curse that disrupts your ability to identify items?

I can come up with much worse options than "monster we get to kill". And if we do detect magic to find some kind of monster, that should likely eliminate him surprising you, allowing us to save health and have less risk in combat.

This one really isn't a "good/evil" thing - this is just trying to play smart.
