I've gone back and looked at the original comment in the private thread. There are two inaccuracies in that description. 1) It was never said that ITC was in the clear, though in hindsight I can see that he might have hinted at that. But there is no explicit comment saying that he was clear. 2) See above regarding "I never indicated ITC was still a target". It was never spelled out. Everything else is correct though. He absolutely said he had no idea who you guys were going to end up voting out.

If path was making a play, it couldn't have been with this result in mind. For a variety of reasons, I think he's probably clear. I do agree that there probably has been a conversion. It wasn't me, so ITC may be a good bet. |

ITC is an interesting case. He's been around a lot today, but hasn't said much. I expect this game is very overwhelming for a newbie, so I am willing to cut him some slack on that. But he's made some other questionable moves, as well. He's a little bit lucky that we've got other problems in New Howard right now. At some point yesterday, he said he would bite his tongue, but that we should trust him. I told him that it wasn't a good idea, and if he had something to say, he should really say it now to spare his life. Of course, I had no idea what the next 24 hours would hold. |

I think most of helsing considers path pseudo-cleared by this debacle.

ooc: I just want to point out that Barkeep's running of this game is more impressive than anything I've ever done in my life. I'd like to thank him for taking two weeks off work to do this.

You're right. I didn't spell it out and state directly that ITC was in the clear. I thought my post made it clear that ITC was no longer a threat to be voted out, but I guess not. Like I said in the Howard thread, I'll work on my writing skills with the time I'll have once I'm voted off. |

I know that this doesn't matter at this point, but I'm extremely sorry that I haven't been around more. My entire family has been hit by this flu that's been going around this area, and I haven't even felt up to logging in the past 4-5 days.
I should have said something that explained things, and I apologize for that. Good luck. Schmidty |

Further hints: 1. 3 words (both tribes have submitted an answer for this) 2. 13 words 3. 11 words 4. 9 words (one of the words is PC) 5. I am making #5 shorter by lopping off the end. It will now be Quote:
6. 7 words 7. 9 parts 8. 5 words (with a homophone error) 9. 10 words 10. 12 words (though two of them are sometimes hyphenated) Last edited by Barkeep49 : 02-15-2007 at 04:52 PM. |

People don't have to make them public, they are PM'd. However some people who have nothing to hide either way have made them public in our thread. I don't feel it hurts anything to be open about stuff like that. I've made it perfectly clear who I would have voted for if i could and why as well as who I'm voting for today (obviously). I would expect people with good reasons would do the same. |

No it wont. I started working on it early, and then no one else in my group helped, and I suck at word challenges.

Survivor asks you to outwit, outlast, and outplay. Evidentially, today I asked you to do none of those things and instead to do the impossible. In the end the contest wasn't really close. I knew this challenge could have easily turned into something that was far too simple and so in response went overboard in the challenge. I apologize to all the players and assure you that this shouldn't be an issue again with any remaining challenges.
So, let's look at what the answers are: Quote:
Congrats to them. As an FYI: we're going to run a normal day tomorrow. Night will be slightly extended into Saturday morning. We'll then have a challenge over the weekend which should be fun and low intensive in terms of time. See you tomorrow morning. |

Important
We're going to play two truths and a lie for tomorrow. All remaining Survivors must PM me, by 10:30 tomorrow, two factual statements and one lie about themselves. Which is the lie should be clearly marked. So for instance I might have: Quote:

I had portions of #2 in my head all day, but couldn't quite put it all together and I also looked for the quote of #5 in just about everyone of them when the challenge first began. That was a real tough challenge, but fun. We spent a lot of time on it with little to show, but I guess it was enough.

I'm glad to hear Alan and Swaggs both say that since I know they both spent a fair amount of time on it.

What was the original answer to #5? I guessed the JFK part, but couldn't figure out the rest of it.

You got the JFK part but not the rest? wow... It was something close to: Ask not what you can do for your country but what your country can do for you is a famous quote by John F Kennedy.

Oh well that is what messed me up I think. When I was looking originally I had a bunch of famous quotes.. that one, as well as others like the only thing you have to fear is fear itself, and four score, seven years ago as well as other famous quotes I could find. How I did quick eliminations was if it had letters my quotes didn't I skipped and continued.. Since that quote has no K's in it, I likely skipped that one I guess. I never went back after it was shortened. |

Gram asked, "So, Helsing, who got voted off?" in our thread, but he did it in gray. So I assume he meant to ask it here -- I really don't think he was asking JE to find out from path.

Cronin was voted off. The majority of the comments were that he wasn't their top choice to be voted off and was only being voted due to the lousy choices we had to choose from |

I don't believe he was around any yesterday after the morning. (I would need to go back through and double check to be sure). The only comments he made was from the night before after we found out who you all had selected, and the majority of those comments he made here in this thread. I think he understood why he likely was getting voted off and didn't have hard feelings about it. He gave his reasons for why he felt his and my names were selected and his only real comment to us about it was that he'll leave it up to Howard to figure out if certain people in their tribe is wolves from this action. Like I said, this was our first tribal council this game, and I don't think most people appreciated the choices given for vote. |

I can only speak for myself here, but I have to imagine that it wouldn't have been too hard of a guess who we would have liked as choices since we had talked about it for the previous day or however long since the tribes were reformed. |
