Bill Baxter (18-2-1 7KO)
vs
Young Johnson (21-1-0 5KO)

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: Started off really slow but picked up fast as Johnson wins the first round. (Round to Johnson, 10-9 Johnson)

Round 2: Baxter takes over in the second half of the round and dominates. (Round to Baxter, 19-19 Even)

Round 3: A very slow round won late by Johnson. (Round to Johnson, 29-28 Johnson)

Round 4: Halfway through the round, Baxter opens a large cut under Johnson's right eye. Luckily for Johnson that the cut is under the eye and won't effect his vision. (Round to Baxter, 38-38 Even)

Round 5: A close round with Baxter doing slightly better. (Round to Baxter, 48-47 Baxter)

Round 6: Anopther close round, this time Johnson doing slightly better. (Round to Johnson, 57-57 Even)

Round 7: A very back and forth fight that picks up the pace a little bit each round. Both fighters are starting to let the punches come. Baxter does a bit better this time. (Round to Baxter, 67-66 Baxter)

Round 8: Baxter extends his lead easily as it looked like that Johnson took this round off. (Round to Baxter, 77-75 Baxter)

Round 9: Another round with some good action and Baxter doing a bit better. (Round to Baxter, 87-84 Baxter)

Round 10: A close round won by Johnson. (Round to Johnson, 96-94 Baxter)

Round 11: Johnson is tired but giving it his all as he wins another close round. (Round to Johnson, 105-104 Baxter)

Round 12: With all of these close rounds, the scoring at the end of the fight, if it goes the distance, could be very interesting. This one goes to Baxter. (Round to Baxter, 115-113 Baxter)

Round 13: One of the few one-sided rounds of the fight. Baxter controls the entire round. (Round to Baxter, 125-122 Baxter)

Round 14: A close round, won by a late rally by Johnson. (Round to Johnson, 134-132 Baxter)

Round 15: Baxter shows why he's the champ as he controls the whole round. Johnson couldn't get anything going. (Round to Baxter, 144-141 Baxter)

My score: 144-141 Baxter
Ringside Expert: 144-141 Baxter

After 15 rounds of action, he go to the scorecards...

Judge 1 scores the bout 144-141
Judge 2 scores the bout 144-142
Judge 3 scores the bout 147-140 all for your winner by unanimous decision....

and STILL WBG BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, BILL BAXTER!

Common Opponents
El-Shamy Dida: Murphy W UD15, Johnson W UD10
Stirling Stomp: Murphy W UD15, Johnson W TKO10

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: Murphy dominated the round and had Johnson on the defensive. (Round to Murphy, 10-9 Murphy)

Round 2: Johnson got some shots in, but Murphy again controls the round and lands the bigger punches (Round to Murphy, 20-18 Murphy)

Round 3: Johnson wins the round, but Murphy opens a cut in a bad spot over Johnson's right eye. Not a bad cut right now, but it could get worse. (Round to Johnson, 29-28 Murphy)

Round 4: A pretty close round with Johnson doing a bit better, but the cut gets reopened already. (Round to Johnson, 38-38 Even)

Round 5: The fight is over and Johnson is not happy. The cut turned into a gash after a punch from Murphy landed right on it. In is inevitably effecting his vision, but Johnson doesn't care. He wanted to continue but the referee stops it.

The referee stops the fight at 0:32 of the 5th round, your winner by technical knockout and STILL WBG FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, TORPEDO BILLY MURPHY!

Probably Kilrain. They fought once, with Sullivan winning by UD10. Sullivan faced Chandler before his first fight with Foley, knocking him out in the 1st round. Kilrain and Chandler also faced once, Kilrain won by TKO3.

Since Sullivan beat Jackson so soundly, I don't think he should get an immediate rematch.

EDIT: A few people in the Top 10 he hasn't faced, but they are either old and falling, or young and raising. Pat Killen is 28-4-0 (24KO) and just hit #6 on the rankings. One or two more wins and he's right in there. He doesn't have the best skills, but he has a lot of power. (Looking over the ratings, he has the most power in the top 10 and has equal the power to Sullivan)

Jack McAullife (21-0-0 17KO)
vs
Billy Myer (23-3-1 17KO)

Common Opponents
Jem Carney: McAullife W TKO10, Myer W TKO3, L TKO8, L TKO5

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: Lots of action in the first. Myer starts off strong, McAullife rallies but Myer finishes the round strong. (Round to Myer, 10-9 Myer)

Round 2: Myer again starts off well, and again McAullife rallies. However, McAullife keeps up the pressure and has Myer hurting by the time the round ends. (Round to McAullife, 19-19 Even)

Round 3: Myer hurt McAullife early in the round. He keeps up the pressure and fights off anoher McAullife rally. (Round to Myer, 29-28 Myer)

Round 4: The two fighters keep up the attack. Both are fighting very offensively. As the fight goes back and forth, this round is McAullife's. (Round to McAullife, 38-38 Even)

Round 5: Myer dominated the round as he had McAullife hurt early in the round and kept up the attack. (Round to Myer, 48-47 Myer)

Round 6: Myer drops McAullife halfway through the round. McAullife had been having a good round, but Myer put a stop to that with a cross that dropped him. McAullife answers at the count of 7 and covers up for the rest of the round. (Round to Myer 10-8, 58-55 Myer)

Round 7: Myer hurt McAullife early in the round, but McAullife fights back hard. He rallies in the last minute and had Myer out on his feet. He landed shot after shot. Myer refused to go down but the referee jumps in and stops the fight after McAullife landed a right that made Myer's eyes roll back. Controversial decision as it happens with just 2 seconds left in the round.

The referee stops the fight at 2:58 of the 7th round, your winner and STILL WBG LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, JACK McAULLIFE!!

Billy Myer and his people were furious after the fight. He claimed the referee just waited for the right time to jump in and stop the fight so that McAullife could keep the title. (He says this while the swelling on his left eye was so bad, he couldn't see out of it). He immediately demanded a rematch.

Young Pluto's record setting streak of knock outs has come to an end. The recently ranked #1 Featherweight contender to Torpedo Billy Murphy had won all 17 of his first bouts by knock out. This month, he was only able to get a UD win against Tajuddin Ahmed (19-5-0 12KO). Pluto did knock him down 3 times in the fight, but couldn't quite finish him off. Young Pluto's 17 straight knock outs is far away the longest streak. John L. Sullivan, WW Charles Gleason and MW Bob Fitzsimmons all tie at 2nd with 11. (Gleason's is still active (11-0-0 11) as is Fitzsimmons' (20-1-0 18KO))

Paddy Sullivan (16-2-1 6KO)
vs.
Dan Murphy (10-3-0 5KO)

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: In what the press calls Sullivan's "safe first defense", he pretty much controls the first round easily. (Round to Sullivan, 10-9 Sullivan)

Round 2: Another round with Sullivan dominating. (Round to Sullivan, 20-18 Sullivan)

Round 3: Muprhy puts up a fight. Sullivan gain wins the round, but if he gets careless, Murphy can sneak in shots. (Round to Sullivan, 30-27 Sullivan)

Round 4: Murphy is taking a beating now. Sullivan dominated the round and Murphy didn't do anything. (Round to Sullivan, 40-36 Sullivan)

Round 5: Murphy finally wrestles control from Sullivan for a round. He got in some decent punches. (Round to Murphy, 49-46 Sullivan)

Round 6: Sullivan takes command of the fight back, but Murphy isn't going away silently. (Round to Sullivan, 59-55 Sullivan)

Round 7: Swelling on Murphy's right eye is starting to get serious. Sullivan wins another round. (Round to Sullivan, 69-64 Sullivan)

Round 8: Sullivan had Murphy hurt in this round as it seems like it's only a matter of time for Murphy. (Round to Sullivan, 79-73 Sullivan)

Round 9: A late rally by Murphy steals it in an uneventful round. (Round to Murphy, 88-83 Sullivan)

Round 10: Sullivan is back in action as he bounces pucnhes off of Murphy's head for the whole round. (Round to Sullivan, 98-92 Sullivan)

Round 11: Another round, another dominating performance by Sullivan. (Round to Sullivan, 108-101 Sullivan)

Round 12: A very uneventful round barely won by the champ. (Round to Sullivan, 118-110 Sullivan)

Round 13: Sullivan goes back on the offensive again and dominates another round. (Round to Sullivan, 128-119 Sullivan)

Round 14: One more round after this and it can be over... (Round to Sullivan, 138-128 Sullivan)

Round 15: And Sullivan finishes out with one last dominating round. (Round to Sullivan, 148-137 Sullivan)

My score: 148-137 Sullivan
Ringside Expert: 148-137

After 15 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards...

Judge 1 scores the bout 147-138
Judges 2 and 3 both score the bout 149-136

all to your winner by unanimous decision, and STILL WBG WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, PADDY SULLIVAN!

"The Nonpariel" Jack Dempsey (17-0-0 14KO)
vs
George LaBlanche (23-4-4 17KO)

Dempsey vs. LaBlanche History
8/23/1884: Dempsey won KO10

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: A back and forth first round. Dempsey started off good, but LaBlanche rallied only to face a rally by Dempsey late in the round. (Round to Dempsey, 10-9 Dempsey)

Round 2: Dempsey is landing some bombs as he had LaBlanche hurt a few times in the round. (Round to Dempsey 20-18 Dempsey)

Round 3: LaBlanche explodes in this round as he dominates until about 20 seconds left when Dempsey landed a stunning hook that sent LaBlanche covering up. (Round to LaBlanche, 29-28 Dempsey)

Round 4: LaBlanche has come alive and has complately taken over this fight. There is swelling over both of Dempsey's eyes as LaBlanche landed a lot of hard shots. (Round to LaBlanche 38-38 Even)

Round 5: Another round that saw LaBlanche win most of it. Dempsey did land a bomb at the end of the round. (Round to LaBlanche, 48-47 LaBlanche)

Round 6: An intense round that saw the action go back and forth. LaBlanche is fighting his heart out and he's winning, but he's taking shots. Dempsey, on the other hand, is also taking some shots. I don't think this one is going the distance. Both men are out to KO the other. (Round to LaBlanche, 58-56 LaBlanche)

Round 7: LaBlanche has Dempsey hurt for most of the round. The swelling on Dempsey's eyes have to be effecting his vision. (Round to LaBlanche, 68-65 LaBlanche)

Round 8: It looked like LaBlanche was going to win yet another round (although this one was close and relatively uneventful), but in the last seconds of the round Dempsey landed a combination that dropped LaBlanche to the canvas. He was saved by the bell. (Round to Dempsey 10-8, 76-75 LaBlanche)

Round 9: LaBlanche recovers from last round's knock down and easily wins the round. It looks like Dempsey may be out of gas. (Round to LaBlanche, 86-84 LaBlanche)

Round 10: LaBlanche may be on his way to an upset. Not much happened in this round. Dempsey did a bit better. (Round to Dempsey, 95-94 LaBlanche)

Round 11: A very close round until the end when LaBlanche pulled away with a late rally. (Round to LaBlanche, 105-103 LaBlanche)

Round 12: A very uneventful round until the end when Dempsey unloaded on LaBlanche. (Round to Dempsey, 114-113 LaBlanche)

Round 13: Dempsey dominated the round as he had LaBlanche hurt and dazed, but not out, for most of the round. It's now a draw on my scorecard with 2 to go. (Round to Dempsey, 123-123 Even)

Round 14: Hardly anything happened until the very end when LaBlanche landed a crushing uppercut that hurt Dempsey. (Round to LaBlanche, 133-132 LaBlanche)

Round 15: Both fighters are exhausted. LaBlanche had Dempsey hurt at one point, and that was pretty much the only action. (Round to LaBlanche, 143-141 LaBlanche)

My Score: 143-141 LaBlanche
Ringside Expert: 144-141 LaBlanche

After 15 rounds fo action, we go to the scorecards...

Judge 1 scores the bout 143-141 for George LaBlanche
Judge 2 scores the bout 143-141 for Jack Dempsey
Judge 3 scores the bout 142-142 Even

THIS BOUT IS A DRAW!

John L. Sullivan (27-1-1 22KO)
vs
Jake Kilrain (29-7-1 21KO)

Sullivan vs. Kilrain History
3/21/1885: Sullivan won UD10

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: Kilrain started off the round by landing a great shot, but that only made Sullivan mad. Sullivan dominated the rest of the round, but Kilrain snuck in a shot here and there. (Round to Sullivan, 10-9 Sullivan)

Round 2: A shutout in this round as Sullivan hurt Kilrain several times. Nothing worked for Kilrain this round. (Round to Sullivan, 20-18 Sullivan)

Round 3: Kilrain controled most of the round. However, as the round neared the end, Sullivan landed two incredible shots. But, Kilrain did manage most of that round. (Round to Kilrain, 29-28 Sullivan)

Round 4: A very close round. Both fighters landed 2 very big punches, but neither did anything else. (Round Even, 39-38 Sullivan)

Round 5: Sullivan wins a round that saw lots of action. Kilrain got some punches in, but Sullivan had Kilrain hurt a few times in the round. (Round to Sullivan, 49-47 Sullivan)

Round 6: A round identical to the last, only this time Sullivan opens a huge cut under Kilrain's right eye. Since it's under the eye, it shouldn't cause Kilrain much trouble. (Round to Sullivan, 59-56 Sullivan)

Round 7: Kilrain is withstanding some massive bombs. Kilrain isn't offering much offense anymore. (Round to Sullivan, 69-65 Sullivan)

Round 8: Kilrain is just being dominated at this point. He offered no offense to Sullivan's assault. (Round to Sullivan, 79-74 Sullivan)

Round 9: This one is going to be stopped sooner or later. Kilrain still isn't offereing much resistence to Sullivan. (Round to Sullivan, 89-83 Sullivan)

Round 10: Kilrain actually put some shots together. An accidental headbutt caused a cut to open over Kilrain's right eye. If the fight is stopped on that cut, we go to the scorecards. (Round to Sullivan, 99-92 Sullivan)

Round 11: Sullivan now seems to be slowing down. The ref has checked the cut again this round. Sullivan wins a close, uneventful round. (Round to Sullivan, 109-101 Sullivan)

Round 12: The referee stops the fight. The cut over Kilrain's right eye that was caused by the accidental headbutt is just too bad. He go to the scorecards.

My score: 109-101 Sullivan
Ringside Expert: 110-101 Sullivan

The referee calls a halt to the fight on injuries caused by an accidental headbutt. We go to the scorecards...

Judge 1 scores the bout 108-102
Judges 2 and 3 both see it 109-101

The winner by unanimous decision, and STILL WBG HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, JOHN L. SULLIVAN!

Billy Frazier makes his case for a shot at lightweight champion Jack McAullife this moth when he defeated former champion Jem Carney by UD10. Carney looked to be in line for a rematch with McAullife, who took his title in Dec. 1886. However, this lost to Billy Frazier looks like it will set Frazier up for a shot sometime next year.

Bill Baxter (19-2-1 7KO)
vs
Karim Pereiva (18-3-2 9KO)

Common Opponents
Nelson Moreno: Baxter W UD15, Pereiva L TKO7
Miguel Diaz: Baxter W SD10, Pereiva W MD10

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: A back and forth round. Baxter started off good, but Pereiva hurt him witha crippling shot. But then Baxter comes back and opens a cut on Pereiva's forehead. The round stays active, with Baxter doing the better. (Round to Baxter, 10-9 Baxter)

Round 2: The fight has settled down a bit. A close round for the most part, but Baxter unleashes a few flurries at the end to steal the round. (Round to Baxter, 20-18 Baxter)

Round 3: Baxter absolutely dominated the round, thanks in large part to the cut. The cut on Pereiva's forehead has gotten a lot worse, and blood is making its way into his eyes. Baxter landed at will and Pereiva is hurt. (Round to Baxter, 30-27 Baxter)

Round 4: Pereiva senses that it might be just a matter of time before the fight could be stopped, so he comes out strong and takes the fight to Baxter. Baxter still gets his shots in, but Pereiva got close oftan and landed several power shots that seem to take a bit out of the champ. (Round to Pereiva, 39-37 Baxter)

Round 5: And that's it. The fight has been stopped on the cut to Pereiva.

The referee calls a halt to the bout at 1:04 of the 5th round, your winner by technical knock out and STILL WBG BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, BILL BAXTER!

Young Pluto looks ot have really solidified a shot at the title vs. Torpedo Billy Muphy. This month he won his 20th fight (18th by KO). He is still undefeated. Can anyone stop this unstoppable force? Looks like Murphy will have to try.

Pat Killen's decision lose to Dick Matthews looks like it will clear the way for Peter Jackson, the #1 contender, to get a rematch with champion John L. Sullivan. Since Kilrain's lose to Sullivan later last year, Killen looked to be the only prospect to face Sullivan besides Jackson. Killen had hoped a convincing win over Matthews would give him the push he needed to get his title shot, but losing fight means that John L. Sullivan's only viable opponent now would be Peter Jackson.

Jack McAullife (22-0-0 18KO)
vs
Billy Frazier (23-1-1 9KO)

Common Opponents
Jem Carney: McAullife W TKO10, Frazier W UD10

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: McAullife dominated the round. Frazier couldn't get anything going as McAullife just controlled all of the action. (Round to McAullife, 10-9 McAullife)

Round 2: McAullife hurt Frazier several times. Frazier made a rally near the end of the round and scored some points. (Round to McAullife, 20-18 McAullife)

Rouind 3: Swelling over Frazier's left eye is noticable now. McAullife again controls the action and lands some hard shots. Frazier again came on late in the round. (Round to McAullife, 30-27 McAullife)

Round 4: McAullife completely dominates the round as he had Frazier hurt several times. (Round to McAullife, 40-36 McAullife)

Round 5: McAullife again dominates the round. The swelling over Frazier's left eye is now pretty bad. He has to be having problems seeing out of that eye. (Round to McAullife, 50-45 McAullife)

Round 6: A close round, but McAullife still gets in more cleaner shots. (Round to McAullife, 60-54 McAullife)

Round 7: A back and forth round. McAullife had Frazier hurt early in the round, but Frazier comes back and looks like he might just turn the tide of the fight. But McAullife reverses it again and ends the round in total control. (Round to McAullife, 70-63 McAullife)

Round 8: A total shutout of a round as McAullife landed stagging shot and shot. Frazier generated no offense at all. (Round to McAullife, 80-72 McAullife)

[b]Round 9:[/n] Very action packed round. McAullife starts off hurting Frazier, but he regroups and comes on strong, landing several hard shots of his own. McAullife comes back and hurt Frazier again, but again Frazier answers. However, with about 30 seconds left, McAullife hurts Frazier once again and keeps him on the ropes for the rest of the round. (Round to McAullife, 90-81 McAullife)

Round 10: Once again McAullife takes full control of the fight. He wears down Frazier and near the end of the round, he sends Frazier to the canvas on a body shot. Frazier gets to his feet on the count of 9 and he's lucky that the round was just about over. (Round to McAullife 10-8, 100-89 McAullife)

Round 11: Frazier has a lot of heart, I'll give him that. He took a pounding in this round, getting knocked down 3 times. On the last time, he was able to get to a knee and struggled to get to his feet, but he couldn't beat the count.

The fight comes to an end at 2:38 of the 11th round, your winner by knock out, and STILL WBG LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, JACK McAULLIFE!!

Torpedo Billy Murphy (23-2-0 18KO)
vs
Young Pluto (20-0-0 18 KO)

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: Close, uneventful most of the way. Looks like Murphy stole the round at the end with a flurry that did damage. (Round to Murphy, 10-9 Murphy)

Round 2: The action picks up a bit with the champion doing a bit better. (Round to Murphy, 20-18 Murphy)

Round 3: Pluto manages to get some shots in and keep Murphy from doing anything this round. (Round to Pluto, 29-28 Muprhy)

Round 4: Murphy comes back strong in this round as he lands shot after shot. Pluto got a few shots in himself, but Murphy controled the round. (Round to Murphy, 39-37 Murphy)

Round 5: They slugged it out this round. They both landed a lot of good shots, although the champ did a bit better. (Round to Murphy, 49-46 Murphy)

Round 6: Another round with them slugging away, only this time Pluto landed a series of shots at the end to win it. (Round to Pluto, 58-56 Murphy)

Round 7: Pluto landed a huge combo halfway through the round. Murphy was able to keep Pluto off of him for the rest of the round, but it stunned him. (Round to Pluto, 67-66 Murphy)

Round 8: Pluto is dropped at the start of the round. He gets up and spends most of the round covering up. (Round to Murphy 10-8, 77-74 Murphy)

Round 9: Murphy dominated the round. It looks like Pluto is completely exhausted. (Round to Murphy, 87-83 Murphy)

Round 10: Pluto gives it his all this round and goes toe to toe with the champ. (Round Even, 97-93 Murphy)

Round 11: Murphy once again dominates the round and swelling over Pluto's right eye has gotten quite bad very quickly. (Round to Murphy, 107-102 Murphy)

Round 12: Pluto is dropped twice in the round! He beat the count both times, but I don't know how much he has left. (Round to Murphy 10-7, 117-109 Murphy)

Round 13: Murphy takes another round easily. (Round to Murphy, 127-118 Murphy)

Round 14: The fight is stopped!!! Billy Murphy has been DQed!!

The referee stops the fight in the 14th round, your by winner by disqualification and NEW WBG FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, YOUNG PLUTO!!

This has got to be seen as an enormously controversial decision. Murphy was headed to a sure victory, but the referee disqualifies him in the 14th round due to a low blow! Unbelievable!

vs
George LaBlanche (23-4-5 17KO)

Dempsey vs. LaBlanche
Dempsey won KO10
Draw

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: Dempsey comes out and immediate hurts LaBlanche. He landed several more good shots but it took most of the round for LaBlanche to recover from Dempseys' opening assault. (Round to Dempsey, 10-9 Dempsey)

Round 2: Dempsey continues to dominate the action. (Round to Dempsey, 20-18 Dempsey)

Round 3: The first two minutes saw Dempsye conitnue his domination, but then LaBlanche comes on strong in the last minute. (Round to Dempsey, 30-27 Dempsey)

Round 4: LaBlanche controled the whole round, but the referee takes a point away from LaBlanche for low blows. (Round Even 9-9, 39-36 Dempsey)

Round 5: Dempsey looked like he was going to get make into command of the fight, but LaBlanche hurts him and had him covering up as the round closed. (Round to LaBlanche, 48-46 Dempsey)

Round 6: A slow round until the very last second when LaBlanche was sent to the canvas by Dempsey and is saved by the bell. (Round to Dempsey 10-8, 58-54 Dempsey)

Round 7: Dempsey looks to have finally taken control back. That end of round knockdown seems to have taken a bit from LaBlanche and Dempsey easily wins the round. (Round to Dempsey, 68-63 Dempsey)

Round 8: A close round. LaBlanche seemed to have taken it when he hurt Dempsey midway through the round, but Dempsey storms back in the last minute. (Round to Dempsey, 78-72 Dempsey)

Round 9: Dempsey easily wins the round as he just bounced punch after punch off of LaBlanche (Round to Dempsey, 88-81 Dempsey)

Round 10: LaBlanche looks like he's exhausted out there. Dempsey continues to easily control the fight. (Round to Dempsey, 98-90 Dempsey)

Round 11: LaBlanche gets dropped again this round by an uppercut. He manages to get up at the count of 6 and survives the round. (Round to Dempsey 10-8, 108-98 Dempsey)

Round 12: Dempsey continues to dominate, but now he has a point taken away for rabbit punching! (Round Even 9-9, 117-107 Dempsey)

Round 13: LaBlanche keeps getting dominated as he looks ready to fall over after almost every punch. (Round to Dempsey, 127-116 Dempsey)

Round 14: LaBlanche is dropped 3 times in the round. The last time he was saved by the bell. (Round to Dempsey 10-6, 137-122 Dempsey)

Round 15: Dempsey looked tired in this round. He barely did anything and LaBlanche looks to have stolen the last round of this one sided fight. (Round to LaBlanche, 146-132 Dempsey)

My score: 146-132 Dempsey
Ringside Expert: 146-134 Dempsey

After 15 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards.

Judge 1 scores the bout 145-133
Judges 2 and 3 both score it 146-132, all for your winner by unanimous decision...

and STILL WBG MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, "THE NONPARIEL" JACK DEMPSEY!!

It looks like Jem Carney's days as a consistant top contender may be over. He has lost 2 straight decisions against Billy Edwards and Joe Ellingsworth. Before this year, his only loses were to Billy Myer, Jack McAullife and Billy Frazier, the 3 top fighters. Before a few months ago, You would add Jem Carney to that list and call it the top 4. But now unimpressive showings against what people call "tier 2" fighters has now hurt Carney's image and his chances at getting a chance to reclaim the welterweight title.

John L. Sullivan (28-1-1 22KO)
vs
Peter Jackson (17-3-3 9KO)

Sullivan vs. Jackson History
5/19/1883: Sullivan won TKO6
10/21/1886: Sullivan won TKO5

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: An action packed 1st round. It was back and forth the entire time. At the end of the round, Jackson already has swelling developing over his left eye. (Round to Sullivan, 10-9 Sullivan)

Round 2: A slower round as each looked to land a bomb here and there, but only Sullivan was able to connect occasionally. (Round to Sullivan, 20-18 Sullivan)

Round 3: Jackson storms out of the gate and controls the round. Sullivan did get a shot in occasionally and the swelling over Jackson's left eye gets worse. (Round to Jackson, 29-28 Sullivan)

Round 4: A close round until the end when Sullivan landed a bomb that hurt Jackson. Sullivan is warned about using his shoulder. (Round to Sullivan, 39-37 Sullivan)

Round 5: The fighters go toe to toe as they both had success this round. Sullivan was a bit busier. (Round to Sullivan, 49-46 Sullivan)

Round 6: Sullivan completely dominates the round. He had Jackson hurt the entire round and just punished him. Jackson's left eye is in horrible condition. (Round to Sullivan, 59-55 Sullivan)

Round 7: Jackson just couldn't take anymore more. Sullivan dropped Jackson 3 times this round, with Jackson unable to get up after the 3rd time.

The fight comes to an end at 2:14 of the 7th round, your winner by knock out and STILL WBG HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, JOHN L. SULLIVAN!

Sullivan looks to just have Jackson's number. Nothing Jackson does seems to work against Sullivan. After losing three times within 7 rounds, it looks like Jackson's chance for the title, as long as Sullivan has it, is over.

vs
Tug Collins (18-4-1 14KO)

Common Opponents
Paddy Duffy: Sullivan W UD10, Collins D10, W DQ9
Dan Murphy: Sullivan W UD15, Collins W UD10

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: A back and forth round that saw both fighters trading shot for shot. (Round Even, 10-10 Even)

Round 2: Sullivan is dropped early in the round and barely beats the count. We almost had a new champion early. (Round Collins 10-8, 20-18 Collins)

Round 3: Sullivan gets back to form this round and easily controls the action. (Round to Sullivan, 29-28 Collins)

Round 4: Collins hurts Sullivan in the round but is unable to drop him. He dominates Sullivan. (Round to Collins, 39-37 Collins)

Round 5: Sullivan again regains control and Collins is unable to put any pressure on. (Round to Sullivan, 48-47 Collins)

Round 6: A slower round, but Collins gets his shots in. (Round to Collins, 58-56 Collins)

Round 7: A close round. Sullivan looked to have won it, but Collins hurts him late. Sullivan recovers and finishes strong. (Round to Sullivan, 67-66 Collins)

Round 8: Sullivan keeps Collins away and lands shot after shot from a distance. (Round to Sullivan, 76-76 Even)

Round 9: Sullivan dominates the round as Collins wasn't able to do anything. (Round to Sullivan, 86-85 Sullivan)

Round 10: Collins is able to get close to Sullivan again and lands a few bombs that hurt Sullivan. Some swelling is now visible over Sullivan's right eye. (Round to Collins, 95-95 Even)

Round 11: An active, back and forth round that saw both fighters land some good shots. (Round Even, 105-105 Even)

Round 12: A very boring round follows the good one before it. Nothing happened. (Round to Sullivan, 115-114 Sullivan)

Round 13: Sullivan lands some shots in the round as he wins it on points. (Round to Sullivan, 125-123 Sullivan)

Round 14: Sullivan again does enough to win the round. They both look tired. (Round to Sullivan, 135-132 Sullivan)

Round 15: A boring, uneventful round finishes what started out as a good fight, but slowed to a crawl in the later rounds. (Round to Sullivan, 145-141 Sullivan)

My score: 145-141 Sullivan
Ringside Expert: 144-143 Collins

After 15 rounds of action, we head to the scorecards

Judge 1 scores the bout 146-141
Judge 2 scores the bout 144-143
Judge 3 scores the bout 145-143, all for your winner by unanimous decision...

and STILL WBG WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, PADDY SULLIVAN!

Round 1: McAullife waistes no time and neither does Eillingsworth. They trade shots in an action packed first round, but McAullife is too much for Ellingsworth. When the round was over, Ellingsworth's left eye is a mess. Swollen and a cut on the eyebrow. (Round to McAullife, 10-9 McAullife)

Round 2: McAullife comes out and dominates the second round. Ellingsworth didn't get much off and it looks like this title fight won't last very long. (Round to McAullife, 20-18 McAullife)

Round 3: Another round goes by as McAullife continues to dominate and Ellingsworth fades quickly. (Round to McAullife, 30-27 McAullife)

Ding.....Ding.....Ding

Round 1: Baxter takes the opening round. (10-9 Baxter)

Round 2: Wallace starts off the round by landing two bombs that put Baxter on the defensive for most of the round. (Round to Wallace, 19-19 Even)

Round 3: A back and forth round that saw a lot of action. Wallace steals the round with a late flurry that stunned the champion. (Round to Wallace, 29-28 Wallace)

Round 4: The first half of the round was uneventful, but then Wallace takes control and hurts the champion. He had Baxter covering up for the last minute as he completely controled the action. (Round to Wallace, 39-37 Wallace)

Round 5: Baxter keeps Wallace off of him as he scored points from outside for the entire round. Wallace could not get anything going in this round. (Round to Baxter, 48-47 Wallace)

Round 6: Baxter continues to dominate the fight now. Wallace is having trouble landing anything. Baxter seems to have found his stride. (Round to Baxter, 57-57 Even)

Round 7: The round was uneventful until the last 30 seconds when Baxter started landing shots at will. (Round to Baxter, 67-66 Baxter)

Round 8: A slow round, but Wallace seemed to do more. (Round to Wallace, 76-76 Even)

Round 9: Another uneventful round with Baxter doing more this time. (Round to Baxter, 86-85 Baxter)

Round 10: Wallace landed a few shots this round, and Baxter didn't land anything. The crowd is getting restless now. (Round to Wallace, 95-95 Even)

Round 11: Wallace dominates the round as he landed several bombs that hurt the champion. Baxter didn't do anything offensively. (Round to Wallace, 105-104 Wallace)

Round 12: Baxter takes control of the fight back and controls the round from the outside. A big difference in my score and the score of the ringside expert now. (Round to Baxter, 114-114 Even - Ringside Expert has it 117-112 for Wallace. If this goes to a decision, it could be interesting)

Round 13: Baxter controls the entire round and doesn't let Wallace get anything going. (Round to Baxter, 124-123 Baxter)

Round 14: A slower round with Wallace doing a bit more. (Round to Wallace, 133-133 Even)

Round 15: The deciding round on my scorecard. Wallace dominates the round and had Baxter hurt. He wanted this fight badly and it showed in this round. (Round to Wallace, 143-142 Wallace)

My Score: 143-142 for Nunc Wallace
Ringside Expert: 146-140 for Nunc Wallace

After 15 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards

Judge 1 scores the bout 143-143 even
Judge 2 scores the bout 144-141 and Judge 3 scores the bout 143-142 for your winner...

by majority decision....

and NEW WBG BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, NUNC WALLACE!
