thats actually very different.

IMO it is much harder to remember all 15 people playing as opposed to not knowing a key aspect of the game posted with a huge picture of a squid.

Note - my vote puts all 15 votes in play and we have a tie between Pass and SnDvls. I did this with enough time to let people move their vote in whatever manner they see fit.

Votes as of Post #200:
Pass - Clap (77), SnDvls (119), JE (161), Saldana (184)
SnDvls - Purdue (79), Cronin (105), Pass (156), Hoops (200)
Hoops - BK (107), Schmidty (108), Lathum (187)
Purdue - Path (90)
Saldana - MrW (93)
Clap - Swaggs (114)
Path - JEH (76)

2nd note - the easiest vote for me, from a self-preservation standpoint, is to vote for Pass. I'm instead going for the person I consider most likely to be an Avatar.

That ties it up, right? 4 each on Pass and SnDvls?

Saldana, there are enough of us here to move it if need be.

Do you think Pass is more likely to be an Avatar than SnDvls?
Do you think that no one coming forward to suggest a 2/2 split of powers is completely meaningless?

Yes, I show a 4/4/3 split in Post #202. I believe that is accurate.

Well, I know I said I'd move my vote if there was a tie, but I'm not moving my vote. I'm on the guy I think is most likely to be an avatar.

fortunately for you, i am not following that logic, because creating a tie on day one is NOT a villager move.

I have a 2/2 split. happy now

dola, also I don't think a tie is a bad thing on day 1. We'll at least get some insight into the tiebreak process.

i told you that neither one is my first choice, but no one else seemed to care what i thought earlier, so I am voting where it serves the most purpose.

Saldana, is that still in play with Lathum moving his vote?

I'm not looking to create ties at 9:00PM, but I don't necessarily have a problem with one before that point.

I honestly don't care...I'll be the sacrafical lamb for day 1 (someone has to) and hopefully it will lead to some analysis for later in the game. Heck I might even get brought back.

I'm not going to get worked up over a game or lose sleep over it that is for sure.

I don't have a 2/2 split, but I do share the same power as SnDvls. Do the Avatars have the same powers that the elementals do?

I've been told that today is celebrating the Squid. They squirm, right?

Seriously, look me up if you have powers that allow you to do so. I'm 100% Elemental.

Unlike most other beings, your votes are not so much a vote, but a collective, hive minded decision to execute someone. No one is brought forth, no kicking, no screaming. But something does indeed happen. As the sun sets, you gather around the sacred altar in the village, and appearing in the center is Passacaglia.

Before the poor sap even can react, the stars overhead coalesce into the sigil of the Squid, who unleashes its tentacly might, enveloping Passacaglia. There is dead silence, though for an instant you hear a faint voice, sounding eerily like a legendary human known to some as Fritz. He lets out a faint squeal of delight, and you can just make out 'save the colossal squid, suckas!', before Passacaglia simply vanishes without a trace, quite dead. Or at least mostly dead. Or, hell, god knows what that crazy Squid can do.

Regardless, the moment fades, and Passacaglia is lost to the world.

And he was an Elemental. Suck it, Trabek.

Squid 1, Elementals 0.

Alrighty, the Squid is fed.

Night actions due 9am CST tomorrow. Also note, my company's xmas party is tomorrow night, so I will NOT be around for the deadline. Votes will still be due at 9pm CST, but results will have to wait. Also, if you have any questions, ask them tonight or during the day tomorrow, 'cause I won't be around to field them.

I'm willing to play a game of chicken, but tonight is closer than I would have cut it if I was in cahoots with SnDvls. I had no idea if a 9PM vote would even count.

I'm hoping that people do check out both me and SnDvls to get some clarity out of today. Good suggestion, Lathum.

I realize its likely that one or both of hoops/Sn is elemental, I'm just not willing to make it automatic. Pass was always there as an escape hatch. I think he was in the lead or tied for the lead the entire time.

actualy sndvls was in the lead until hoops switched to Pass.

I just tread through the intro a bit closer.

Are we safe in assuming that there are pretty much three factions at work here? Anyone have any strategies/thoughts on this, at this point?

Just kind of thinking outloud about this, but it seems like there are elementals, avatars, and "everything else," which includes other victory conditions. Sounds like another organization at work, to me, and it seemed like there were some potentially coordinated maneuvers for a day 1 vote.

I'm probably better off keeping my mouth shut in the early game, since I traditionally don't end up doing real well when I try to figure things out during the first couple of days.

For those who have questions on my play today, I'm happy to take them tomorrow when we have more information at our disposal.

I think I was very clear in the thread, as events transpired, about where my thought process was over the last 90 minutes. But I moved my vote late to a good guy, so I expect that I'll be asked about it a few different ways.

Lathum, I honestly don't see a whole lot of reason for discussion tonight. People can likely obtain some sort of information from night actions. So let's have as many cards on the table as possible to frame the discussion.

If people can view, I'm likely to be viewed. Ditto SnDvls.

If there are not any kind of views shared tomorrow, then we get to have a discussion based upon interpretation of play.

I'm planning on sharing any information I learn, and I would expect that you guys will find me around if I'm not night-killed by an Elemental. The Avatars are probably best served leaving me alone to take heat tomorrow and I fully expect them to do this.

What an exciting end to the day. I'm sorry I missed it. And, ftr, I am very suspicious of cronin: he starts the whole thing with hoops and then finds reason after reason to not do what he says he'll do (cast a vote for hoops, change the tie). I don't like it.
