I'd love to have it every day. But maybe, so that you don't burn out (re: reindeer games, re:5-year olds, re:fofc world series, etc ) have it every other day- maybe Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Something like that.

I agree w/SI. I'm doing ok keeping up with it every day, but it's a lot more time-intensive on your end. I think you should go at a slower pace...possibly a regular schedule of 3 turns / week similar to what SI said, M/W/F with turns ending at regularly scheduled times?

Note:
To clarify, the 24-hour turnaround for posting pirate actions will always be in place whenever a turn deadline is announced. However, I can vary how frequently those deadlines are announced if you feel the game's pace is too fast. By necessity (and for reasons already noted by others), I will at times take longer to do the turn reports. But generally-speaking I'd like to pace the game to suit the wishes of The Brethren (and sister). If quick turnaround is what you want, I can aim for that. If spacing turns out every couple days is better, I can shoot for that instead.

Garr, and for those who be wondering...be leaving for the Great Lake now on Sundie instead.

Me had a new position up in the Great Lakes. Be teaching new recruits all things piratey in their berthing compartments instead of in their piratey schoolhouse.

A pirate's life for me! Garr!

'twas a quiet night, and moonlight shone on the quiet Caribbean seas...

Capt'n Louis Vergenbois lay on his hammock on the bridge above the water, in a drunken stupor after guzzling down a full keg of rum...

After days of cruising in vain for enemy ships to raid, the hold of the Fantastic Flying Froggies were still as empty as ever...

Two crewmen, drunk as their captain, but bored out of their skulls from inactivity, tiptoe up to the Captain. Suddenly, they rush up to the captain, cut the lines off the hammock and pick up the bundle formed by Vergenbois in his hammock and throw him overboard! Plouf!

Vergenbois never even wakes up and sinks to the bottom of the Sea while his former ship sails away, leaving just a lingering peal of evil laughter in the night...

Thus ends the short life of the un-famous pirate, Louis Vergenbois...

TURN 3 REPORT:

HARRRRR! We filled up our list, but now it’s minus one. The Frog jumped ship.

Pirate lore o’ th’ day: “Bite yer gold to test its worth, as Fate bites ye to test yer’s.”

The d6 crew was pleased to take berth aboard McShae the Picky’s “Full Corset.”
Offers:
McShae the Picky 8g
Vlad the Pillager 7g
Posted Quest: A supply ship from a naval convoy has run aground. Last word we received at Turducken Island suggests that a small armed sloop (d4 defense?) was guarding the stricken vessel. If ye choose to undertake this quest, finding the target will be automatic, but in the event of multiple pirates the best cruising roll will determine who gets there first. The value of the cargo is unknown.

The pirate Louis Vergenbois has been lost at sea. What is to be done with his 7g? All pirates may cast a vote: (a) Divide it, with 1g for each of the seven poorest of The Brethren; (b) offer it as a bonus to the next pirate to join The Brethren; (c) offer it as the prize in a contest (d) give it to Louis’ family

Remember to list a mandatory Drunken Debauchery action if you have one for Turn 4. Also note any crew losses or ship damage, as well as accept or decline any trade offers.

2. Recruit d6 crew (7g) = offer rejected
3. Plan a raid on ye olde coastal town = A poor plan was devised [1]

Random event: Ye turned yer ankle stepping on an empty bottle o’ rum. Yer -1 dueling for Turn 4.

Garr! Me ship be damaged once more. I be thinkin' my ship might be better named the Acursed.

I be in favor to either give da gold to de poorest or to offer it as a prize. We not be needin to give it to no unworthy or one who is unproven.

Aye, well, we'd've thought that the turn of cruising aimlessly in the ocean spent our success, as it were.

1) Recruit d4 scurvy (1g).
2) Minion of Lady Elizabeth the Blond.
3) Plan a ye olde harbor city raid.

Pirate Thought
First day and we damage the ship and lost a crewman. Boy, my men look mighty mad that we are spending our only gold coin to recruit another crewman instead of spending it on grog. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt me.

Our Not-So-Cunning plan:
- Quest!
- If we are not successful in our quest, attempt, then Raid Ye Olde Fishing Village
- If we are successful, then Trade (if both holds are full, accept the highest offer for one of them)
- Then do the other
