Is the deadline tonight or tomorrow? if its tonight i have to act to save my ass...if not then i still have time to wonder why you vote for me over the other guy with 2 votes, schmidty, who hasnt been on the board in over a week

UNVOTE PASSACAGLIA
VOTE SCHMIDTY yes, i could vote for the other guy and take my ass off the block, but this makes more sense. Instead of coffee having to find a replacement, we just kill the idle guy and go about or day. Note, i will vote for whoever keeps me alive if it comes down to it, but you wanted a tie so now you have a 3-way

I think the deadline is tomorrow am. Schmidty may get replaced - or not, and he may end up lynched. There's also this, which while I agree with the sentiment, is missing something: Quote:

UNVOTE DACMAN
VOTE SCHMIDTY I'm west coast so I've got to have my vote in tonight. As long as we're looking for a replacement for him it seems like a good way to go.

That puts us here: 0 - Hoopsguy 3 - Blade6119 3 - Schmidty 1 - St.Cronin 0 - WVUFAN 3 - Dacman 0 - TazFTW 0 - Passacaglia 1 - Grammaticus 1 - Path12 1 - Kingfc 1 - SnDvls I think this is the best voting pattern for the humans, a 3-way tie. There's probably at least a 50/50 chance that one of those guys is a demon, forcing some demons to move their votes around. Let's see how this shakes out. |

Great, I read this right after changing my vote. So forgive me for what may be a stupid question, but as the first day first game guy here, why would this be a 50/50 chance (3 guys with 3 votes if we assumed as earlier 16 total players and 3 demons?) and why would it force a demon's hand?

Assuming 3 demons there is a 40% chance that none of them are demons and a 60% chance that at least one is a demon.

With your vote it's now Schmidty 4, two other guys 3. It doesn't neccesarily force a demon's hand even as a tie, but they are sure to be careful to make sure that a demon doesn't get lynched on day 1. In the following days, we can examine those day 1 votes to gather clues about who may be demonic. |

Actually, since I had originally voted Dacman it would now be Schmidty 4, Blade 3 and Dacman 2. I'd be willing to switch it back to Dacman if it's gonna be seen as suspicious later......like I said, I just switched it in the first place since it seemed the spot was open anyways.

just wanted to see you post again to make sure you were still around. I'd move, but I don't want to seem like I'm jumping on a bandwagon either. If I hit Schmidty I'm piling on. If I move to dacman I force a tie and if my memory serves me right a decision that we don't know the outcome (possibly the elementals get to decide??) and if I go to Blade it allows someone to set me up later by jumping on him for the lynch if he turns out good. I think I'll stay on you king...unless someone comes up with something pretty dramatic. |

lol I actually would rather have you around, but I don't really know how to play day 1, and I don't think anybody really does. I think every game I've played it's been a villager lynched on day 1. I bet all three of the vote leaders are regular humans. |

After a long, long, LONG series of discussions, arguments, in-fighting, paranoia, rants about dice, and after a tasty dinner of leftover yak & goat, you finally agree that an example must be made. Schmidty is dragged, silent as ever, to the massive executioner, who does not even give him the honor of a final request before lopping off his head. It rolls with a satisfying thud, and ends up splashing into a bowl of leftover goat stew.
Unfortunately, the tell tale signs of a person who has sold his soul to the minions of hell are not present this day. It becomes quickly apparent Schmidty was an untainted human through and through. A quick search of his quarters reveals nothing of major interest, merely a suit of battered & worn armor, and an old, blood-stained sword. As you finish searching through Schmidty's room, you return to the courtyard to see a large piece of parchment nailed to a wall. Written in ornate script, it says... The Norse god of thunder, Thor, had a chariot that was pulled by several goats. At night when he would set up camp, Thor would eat the meat of the goats, but take care that all bones remained whole. Then he would wrap the remains up, and in the morning, the goats would always come back to life to pull the chariot. When a mortal who was invited to share the meal broke one of the goats' legs to suck the marrow, however, the animal's leg remained broken in the morrow, and the mortal was forced to serve Thor as a servant to compensate for the damage. NIGHT 1 DEADLINE, ACTIONS DUE 9pm CST THURSDAY Final Tally --- 0 - Hoopsguy 2 - Blade6119 5 - Schmidty 1 - St.Cronin 0 - WVUFAN 2 - Dacman 0 - TazFTW 0 - Passacaglia 1 - Grammaticus 1 - Path12 1 - Kingfc 1 - SnDvls 1 - Barkeep49 Active List ----------- 1 Ardent Enthusiast 2 Blade6119 3 Schmidty, Human, Lynched Day 1 4 Dacman 5 Hoopsguy 6 SnDvls 7 Passacaglia 8 Path12 9 St.Cronin 10 Grammaticus 11 TazFTW 12 Saldana 13 WVUFAN 14 Kingfc22 15 Barkeep49 16 dubb93 |

So, what do you think it means, the head rolling into the goat stew?
What about the Thor message? I wonder if that means hurting the wrong person can make you a demon. |

I wonder if it means a goat sacrifice would bring him back? I'm guessing there is a way that a human could turn demon if we do the wrong thing, but who the hell knows what that would be? I guess we'll find out eventually.

Last game at the end of the day I posted a summary of who voted for who and a brief summary of the explanation. I don't know if anyone else found it helpful, but it was helpful for me to review the posts with votes, so I'm doing it yet again. Quote:

To me the real turning point was King's vote for Schmidty as that changed the tide. If he'd gone for dacman it would have ensured that as a lynch. As it stands, I don't blame king for his vote, obviously as I voted the same way, despite our having failed to find a demon.

So does anyone have any significant trust built up as of yet?
If not trust, are there people that are moving towards highly distrust? Reasons for either would help generate some discussion. I understand if people may want to wait until after night actions are complete to go down this road. |

Schmidty having the armor and sword may be indicative of some kind of protector role - which would obviously be bad news for the humans if he is dead (and not recoverable).

I would just like to point out to Barkeep that my vote for St. Cronin was not due to me wanting to throw out an early vote, it was b/c of his use of a random number generator.
I do have a hunch at this point, but I'm not sure if I'm quite ready to come forward with it at this point without seeing what he does today.
