Well here's the problem we are going to run into during the coming days, especially without the Witness(which I have been assuming is a seer role).
2 or 3 days from now there is probably going to be a couple mafia members with VERY little dirt on them and they may be active. Someone may vote them on a hunch, non mafia members should do their best not to jump over this guy. Only reason I say this is because if people are to scared to post their hunches, for fear of being bandwagoned against, then all we will vote on pretty much is voting record and quickness to vote against an ally. I've seen bad guys ace this test(Fozzie comes to mind), this can't be the only thing to rely on. Just wanted to get that out there, it's not meant to be a commentary on today at all. |

I'm quick to defend anyone who seems to be helping our cause by putting ideas out there. Except for dubb who was way to quick on sack for helping.

An hour and a half to go, and you're going to skim rather than read carefully before deciding who to lynch, though? I'm not accusing you of anything, but it seems weird that you would vote to lynch based on illini defending me without reading through to see what's happened since. |

I'm not really thinking analytically when I say substance. Really more about taking some sort of stance, either against someone or for someone.

vote dubb93
The way I see it, his vote for me goes one of three ways: 1) He's a mafioso, and playing like one: targeting the active voices to intimidate others into staying quiet rather than risk being a target. 2) He isn't one, and like the rest of us, he's grasping at straws. 3) He IS a mafioso, but is trying to seem like he's grasping at straws to deflect attention. I hope #2 isn't the case, but absent any more likely candidates so far, I'm going to cast my ballot in his direction and hope #1 or #3 are the case. |

Well, I'm pretty sure jeff and sack are villagers, but I don't see anything compelling me to change my vote. Without anything substantial, we're all grasping at straws.

Unvote Sackattack
Vote Shorty3281 Edited to add a reason. My first vote for Sack was based on no real information, and this vote for Shorty is based on no information either, but he called us a group of idiots earlier so I think he's a little fishy. Last edited by Bearcat729 : 08-15-2005 at 09:07 PM. |

Alright, back early, my saying that you voted for Realdeal and threatened Bug had nothing to do with my suspecision of you. It was the fact that you had done very little so far, yet when someone voted for you 2 other people came up fast asking how someone could vote for you when you had proved you were a villager.
When I read that I went through and read again b/c to be honest I hadn't remembered a single one of your posts, so I went through, seen you had said little of note and assumed that the 2 people covering for you that you were obviously a villager were backing you for little reason. I MAY be just grasping at straws, but 3 people banding together and claiming that one of them is obviously a villager at a point when I see nothing to prove it smells fishy to me. That is the reason for the vote Sack, not anything you have done so far.

The claims of obvious villagerhood came after I posted a PM,which I didn't realize I was supposed to do, and quickly retracted. The retraction is why you don't see anything pointing to that. But the fishy smell is probably just my clothes. I'm just a simple villager, after all! Later, everybody! |

jeff just isn't sounding very safe. He made that first vote of the entire thing and argued that it didn't matter if we lost an innocent villager because he had a personality.

Sigh.
What you just said is not what happened and not what I said. Think it through a little Shorty. Real had just as much chance of being mafia as anyone else. If I had a bead on anyone else, anything at all I would of gone after them. If I knew that Real was a villager I would of picked someone else, likely randomly. It's day one voting. There is no good reason to vote on anyone. And, the deadline passed 45 minutes ago. Last edited by jeff061 : 08-15-2005 at 09:48 PM. |

You all wake up, dreading what could be waiting for you in the morning. Who would be dead? As you all head to the village square, you see that everyone is still alive. You feel uneasy... noone died last night? This could be a portent of good things, or bad things. The Mafia is among you, you know this... and so you must kill one more today.
Current Players: 1. dubb93 2. ardent enthusiast 3. SackAttack 4. Fouts 5. 6. Bearcat729 7. illinifan999 8. MrBug708 9. SnDvls 10. 11. digamma 12. bek 13. 14. Shorty3281 15. pennywisesb 16. Schmidty 17. Blade6119 18. jeff061 Day (3) has begun! Votes are due at 9PM EDT.

Or else the Mafia figured "Hell, they aren't onto us yet anyway, why risk exposing ourselves? Let 'em do it themselves."
