is yahoo still enabling you to adjust your daily lineups in advance ? In that case, iīm all for it. Even if you can only manage your team on a weekly basis, itīs enough to do it Sunday and itīs not that much of a time commitment.

I do believe you can set daily lineups in advance which would make things less of a hassle. If enough people would rather have a weekly lineup, I can make the change. The season hasn't started yet and we haven't had a discussion on it so I think that is only fair.

If a discussion or vote is about to happen, I for one prefer daily.

yeah i would say this is a voting situation so let your voice be heard. I prefer daily as well but if there are 7 people who prefer weekly, I will switch it to weekly.

Daily is good for me too. Yahoo has a nice mobile app for fantasy sports too, makes things a little easier.

I'm mildly perturbed you are allowed to make that switch when I wasn't, just from the appearance of it. But I recognize the situations are different in that no one else had picked. FWIW, with around 4-5 picks only going between my autopick and my post, I think we could have gotten a "pass" vote from the subsequent owners on Leonard which would have allowed me to draft Kobe.

I hear you CR. I wouldn't have had an issue if everyone said it was fine, but tough to poll everyone that picked after you. I feel bad for making a switch but it was within a few minutes at least.

I just wish it wasn't just rejected out of hand instead of at least tried. It wasn't that many owners and I didn't see any players taken who I think those owners would have taken Leonard over their picks. I'm really nonplussed to get a guy who probably wouldn't have been picked until the 6th round with my fourth round pick and miss out on the opportunity for four months of one of the best players in the game.

I disagree that Leonard would have lasted that long, and I think you will be pleased with him, but I guess it's more about setting a precedent for missing picks/sending in lists.

I am sorry for the way things ended up Chief Rum. I truly don't enjoy making decisions like that. But you weren't minutes late, you were hours later. As for the jackal, i suppose I should not have let him make the change but my philosophy as a commissioner is not to be a total a-hole. This is supposed to be fun if somebody makes an honest mistake and corrects it within minutes I feel like that is ok. However in principal Chief Rum is right so from this point forward no changing picks AT ALL. I don't want to be seen as playing favorites and enforcing the rules for some and not for others. So if you are late, then you get the yahoo pick if I give it to you or someone else gives it to you. If you make a pick, thats your pick. No changing it and saying I forgot so and so was available. And lastly, remember kiddos this is just a game. Lets have fun out there |

With the six hour clock, looks like the next pick doesn't have to be made until 10 am eastern tomorrow.

Doesn't the clock start at 10am? I would think Lathum would have had until 2pm to pick - if someone picks at 2am EST because they are on the west coast the person on the east coast might not even be up at 8am

from the rules so CR make his pick at 4:16 AM- so that pick is made by 10:00 AM EST. Then the clock starts again at 10:00 AM. Am I missing something here? |

can everyone at least hold off on picking until we get a ruling on this. I think we are moving fast enough for it not to ba an issue if we wait a bit

Ok, I interpreted the rule as the first pick must be made by ten am eastern. However, if someone makes a pick at 8 am then you would get to noon. Since Chief Rum made his pick at 5:16 am, then the 10 o clock deadline would still hold.

I agree, this seems to be a misread on LWSFS's part (who has handled things great, BTW). Lathum should be able to pick.
FWIW, I think Kemba Walker is a terrific pick personally, and if I didn't already have John Wall, I might have considered selecting him instead of Green.

Hmm, I think we are thinking the time stops at the nightly deadline and then starts at the morning deadline, with no time runoff in between, even if picks are made during "off time." So when we hit the night deadline last night I was at 5 hours-something for my time to make a pick (which is why I could take until early this morning to make the pick). Since I made my pick in the middle of the night, no time has been running off for Lathum until 10 a.m. On weekday time, he should get his full four hours, starting at 10 a.m. EST and have until 2 p.m. EST to make his pick.

Honest question from someone whose current knowledge of the NBA is that a lot of the names left on the board are ones I don't recognize. If Kobe plays 70-75 games at full strength, did I get good value or is that about where he'd be expected to go regardless?

Considering I tried to draft him about 10 picks in front of you, I think you know my opinion of your choice. That is, IMO, a great pick. Everyone keeps judging this guy by human standards. Stop it. He has earned the benefit of the doubt. He is superhuman. He's going to be back by January at the latest, and my guess is earlly December. He will go right back to scoring 25+ points on this team. He is ahead of schedule on his rehab. He's already had his knee treated again, which is the key to how well he came back to his old numbers last year. You get the sense why I was upset to miss out on him.
