2/11/1944 Stuttgart BB factory
Today we attack the Ball Bearing factory at stuttgart. A very important target. They are one of only 3 stand alone sites, and hitting them will hurt the germans. We have changed the rotation to reflect the bomber crews. Going out today will be Rustbucket Flying Plantain Wind Dancer Rajun Cajuns Brave Saint Saturn Crawling Chaos

2/11/1944 The Germans fight back
This mission proves to be interesting. We make it across the channel and we are besieged by the enemy over the coast of france. Crawling Chaos is almst immediatly hit by a fighter. Their number 2 smokes and goes out. They start to fall back, but manage to down 2 fighters. Killed in the action is Van Meeteren when a bullet rips through the plexiglass nose, and hits him in the neck. We fight our way through some more fighters. Rustbucket loses a man, Charborneau. He is wounded very badly with little chance to make it home alive. It is uncertain if he would even survive a bail out. The captain gives him a choice, and he chooses to stay on board. He loses conciousness soon after, and dies. We reach our target and deliver our payload wiping it out. We return home safely.

This is the mother of all factory sites. Basically there are 5 different sites here to hit. Sites A through E Each factory produces a specific range of ball bearings, and related components. We will be hitting each site. this should crush the germans capability to produce them. Flying Today TommyKnocker Mighty Madness CloudSplitter Flying Crawfish Stormbringer Hitler Sucks

2/14/1944 Bad Aim
We meet plenty of resistance over the skies of france today. However, we cannot seem to shoot them down. Most of them run out of ammo and return. They do some damage though, as Hitler sucks is forced to drop out and return to base. TommyKnockers is also forced out of formation after losing their number 3 engine. Miller onboard cloudsplitters is injured, but will most likely survive. This mission features a whole bunch of flak. We get hit by it twice on the way to the target, and three times coming out of it. Our planes look like swiss cheese by the time we land. Post mission recon, shows that we have decimated our target.

I have some news which is good for me, but bad for the dynasty. Due to our outstanding achievements, I may be up for promotion. Im not sure yet if this will end the game for me, but it looks that way. I may not know anything for some time, but if our success continues, I might get it. Ill try to come up with a solution, but in the mean time, we will continue to play.

I assume we're not talking Aussie flying rules.
One of the rules is that any landing you can walk away from is a good one. Any landing where the plane is still usable is an excellent one.

More of the same today folks. We have hit almost half of the sites. Here today we plan to continue hitting them hard. This should really put the pinch on them.

2/17/1944 Fire in the hole
We meet some heavy resistance inside france. Our planes are constantly under attack from 4-8 planes nearly all the way to the target. We are forced to fly through three flak zones, so we have an increased risk of losing a plane. Midway to our target, Rajun Cajuns gets raked pretty good from cannon fire. They lose their tail gunner and a waist gunner. Rustbucket is dinged up, but continues to stay in formation. After fighting our way though the enemy we drop our bombs. They demolish the site, and end any chance of ball bearing being produced for some time at this site. Everything is fine until we run into our final flak zone. A flak shell rips through the wing of Rustbucket, and it leaves a big hole. It must have hit the controls, because they start to fall out of formation. They continue to dive, and I give the order to bail out. However, they are pulling alot of g's and we only see a few parachutes deploy. Sadly we continue home, and later learn that only 5 men survived, but were taken prisoner

High command has informed us to keep up the good work. If we continue to knock these sites out, they expect the ball bearing production to drop by 55-70 percent.

2/20/1944 Unexpected Results
This mission is pretty routine to begin. We run into some moderate fighter pressure over france. They manage to ding up both cloudsplitter and tommyknocker. Both planes are forced to turn around and head back to base. Amidst fending of fighters, we drop our bombs and tear most of the target up. We turn back to england and make it through our final flak zone. We start across the channel, when Stormbringer radios in with problems. His number 1 engine was out, and now his number 4 engine is out. He feathers both engines, and continues home. We near the coast of england, and he drops out of formation. He starts to slowly lose altitude. Black smoke starts to pour from his engines. Rather then risk bailing out into the cold english channel, he decides to risk making it back to england. He finally makes it back over the coast and is about 1500 feet in the air. more complications arise though, his number 3 engine catches on fire. The engine sputters and they start to head towards the ground rapidly. The pilot makes a valiant effor to save the plane, and manages to get the nose up. However it does little good as they are falling to fast. They hit the ground and the plane catches on fire. We fly home, and learn that all of the men still alive when the plane crashed were most likely killed instantly.

Only two targets remain at Schweinfurt. We will be taking out the small factory today. We believe it it mainly a rail depot, and a shipping yard for the complex. This site is an important link, and this will further help stop the flow of ball bearings.

2/23/1944 Rockin the Boat
We have shuffled the planes around once more. Flying today is BigTop Peewee Zues Rides Brave Saint Saturn Rajun Cajuns Flying Plantain Wind Dancer As you can see, its mostly are new crews, but I figure this gives them more of a chance to improve their skills and earn kills. We fly over france, and run into some germans today. They manage to wound A man on Big Top Peewee. He is pretty seriously hurt, but would rather stay onboard. We dispatch one round of fighters, and head into some flak. Wind Dancer, loses their number 4 engine to a flak burst, and have no other option but to turn back. Dunn, onboard Zues Rides, is killed when a flak fragment rips through the glass nose cone. We engage some more fighters after leaving the flak. These give us much less trouble, and we press on to the target. IT is very cloudy, but our excellent bomber manages to hit the target destroying it. We turn for home, and pass through the final flak zone unharmed.

2/29/1944 Final Thoughts
Its a pretty normal flight to begin with. Fighters intercept our group in france. Immediatly Crawling Chaos has their number 4 engine hit. They manage to stay up for the time being. We take out one group of fighters, just as another group hits us again. Mighty Madness takes some damage, but everything looks okay. We press on, and finally manage to fight our way over the target. WE drop our bombs, but our aim is slightly off. We only manage a high amount of damage. We fly on towards home, and pass through the final flak zone. We recieve word from Mighty Madness, that they have taken damage. Their number #1 engine goes out, and they start to fall behind a bit. We reach the channel, and begin across it. Mighty Madness is still barely in sight, when they radio us again. Their plane has lost its number 2 engine also. They attempt to fly it back over land before bailing out, or attempting to crash land. However, with both engines on one side out, they have no chance, being in the middle of the channel, so they put out a mayday. They are basically flying in circles with no chance of reaching the coast. They stay aloft as long as possible, before issuing the command to bail out. Upon returning home, we learn that only 2 members were killed in the ditch attempt. The rest of the crew survived. One of the members was badly hurt, and is expected to live.

2/29/1944 Incendiary Sucks
This mission is rather short. we are under constant attack throughout the mission. This group is mainly new planes, but they do a good job today of getting us through everything. However, the lead bomber does a terrible job of hitting the target. We totally miss the sight, just doing collateral damage. This mission is over before we know it, and luckily no planes are lost.

2/3/1944 Final Farewell
This mission is more of the same. Just like the last mission we are under constant attack. We do manage to inflict high damage on the site and return home safely I apologize for the poor write-ups. However, I finished this mission and got the letter ending the game for us. I have been promoted, and their is really nothing I can do. I enjoyed this dynasty, but I am also glad that it is over. I might do another dynasty similar to this at a later date. I hope everyone enjoyed this dynasty, and I would like to thank everyone that participated. I have an idea for another group like dynasty, and those of you that were waiting to get a shot, will get the first dibs in my next dynasty. The stats account for everything but the final mission kills and medals. It immediately exited my game after finishing.
