My line of thinking is 2-3 mafia bet on me hoping to cash in and let the villagers do the dirty work so they can profit from being in the background.

I'll tighten this vote up a little bit. I didn't "bid" for Darth, but I kind of wish I had as he seemed like a reasonable candidate to take a fall early - pretty regular player, kinda quiet, hasn't died early in awhile.

Hate to hop on hoops back, but I agree with im here. I like Darth as a candidate for the same reasons, Day One reasons, that is. Plus, this goes along with my theory that three candidates are better than two for voting purposes down the line.

That was a late deadline for the first day. Normally you'll have from 9 pm until 9 am EST to place your bet. And in addition, it's fine to bet early if you won't be around.

Sheesh, I made it 6-6-5 with j23 being the 5 then Lathum makes it 6-6-5 Darth being the 5. And bam, now it's 7-6-5.

So lets hypothetically say that the pot for betting is 5000. Split that number between 7 people and each person gets roughly 700 so now they've got $1700 to spend. If the pot is 10k then those 7 people would have doubled the amount of money than the majority of the game so they'd likely control the first two days of the game. Lets hope it's not the wolves who get the bets right today. I'd prefer if nobody got the day 1 bet..

But if I was a betting man, I'd wager that there are two people so far that have bet j23:

The Jackal and Lathum. Jackal was the first to vote when it seemed like it would be the popular thing to do was to vote your bets...and then Lathum comes in and makes a switch vote when it didn't change the score against him.

I'm not sure what to think about PackerFanatics latest switch to J23 yet though..

No more idea here than any D1 as a villager. But there were some big and fast swings here. If we have people buying roles tonight I expect they will have a good chance to get some bang for their buck.
