Ugh. I have a former co-worker on FB who when not talking about sports is actually a decent guy. When sports is involved, he's around Skip Bayless level. Needless to say he's going off about the refs and how classless the Saints are. He's stuck in sales, but he told me his dream job is to be a sport writer. The problem is he hardly writes about sports and his quality of writing is far from being on the level of a professional.

Sounds like he could be very successful in the field.

Honestly, the gap between the top 3 (Rodgers, Brees, Brady) and #4 is pretty incredible as well.

His stats this year were pretty bad

If he comes back and is healthy, he immediately joins them. He may never play again, and if so, he doesn't deserve to be in the conversation anymore.

Hey, unlike the three you mentioned, he didn't toss a single interception!

Doesn't help Peyton's case, though, that his completion percentage is RUNTIME ERROR: DIVIDE BY ZERO.

OT Anthony Collins, DE Jonathan Fanene, LB Manny Lawson, S Reggie Nelson, K Mike Nugent, WR Jerome Simpson, DT Pat Sims, and one of the TEs I hope they re-sign. Nelson and Lawson especially.

I think its weird looking back on the season, I don't think Keith Rivers played a down.

They need to keep one of Jones/Jennings IMO. I don't want them going into 2012 with one aging corner, one corner with a torn Achilles and a draft pick.

The Saints had 167 rushing (36 rushing attempts) to go along with all that passing. That's less than 3:1 ratio, which to me is a good balanced attack...not a pass-happy one that some are critical about. The Lions had 380 passing with only 32 rushing.

Surprising on the Lions end, they were averaging almost 5 ypc in the first half.

Nice choice by the Giants people on Trombone Shorty for the National Anthem. Saw him open for Derek Trucks this summer. Guy is fantastic.

If you average the two games, you have a standard scoring game

Uh, pass. If I wanted to see a replay of an ugly 9-6 game that was already played last year, I could start watching mlb.tv and pining for warmer weather.

EDIT: like tucker rocky already was

Alright, just turned the game on- let's go Giants!?

(I think the Giants have a better shot of beating GB in GB and then hopefully the Saints could get NFC Champ game at home, if we take care of SF....that and I just don't like the Falcons)

That was one of the most bizarre punt rolls I've seen in some time. The ball hit near the sideline, and spun back up the field along the out of bounds line for 10-15 yards.

That was some piss poor time management by the Falcons at the end of the half. Ryan could have ran out of bounds but slides on one play. Falcons went into the half with 2 time outs on the board even though they got the ball at the 20 with a little over 1 minute left were moving the ball pretty well.

Not that I'm complaining.

At least the Bengals had a little fight in them. This Falcons team is beyond bland. Giants looking solid though. I don't think they can beat the Packers, but they won't roll over on them either.

- Packers
- Saints / Niners
- Giants
- Lions
- Falcons
