Hard to know which Giants franchise you are referring to. My best guess...Yomiuri Giants, located in Tokyo. My Japanese is a little rusty, so I cannot find the fan who got killed.

This barely registers as news unless it happens in Philadelphia, but it does happen with some frequency in Denver.

Three people stabbed in Sports Authority Stadium parking lot after Broncos-Chargers game - ESPN

Denver is also the only place I've ever had any trouble with any fans. But since I graduated high school, and have a functioning adult human brain, I still recognize that the 20 or so people involved in those instances don't necessarily mean "Denver fans" (which must number around 10 million or so?) "are all assholes".

Yah, possibly the most uncomfortable I've been at a US sporting event was Chargers vs Broncos at Qualcomm maybe five years back. A lot of visiting Broncos fans looking for trouble. But Denver is an awesome city.

Death is a natural part of life, so I don't think it's a tragedy.

The fan asked if the Eagles were going to win the Superbowl. The horse said, "Neigh".

Stay classy Philly!

Travel to Green Bay or Chicago and it is fun banter. Traveling to Philadelphia it is completely different. Puts the entire city in a bad light.

Is this the fan bad behavior thread?

I know it is said that when fans buy a ticket, that gives them the right to say whatever they like to players. I disagree with that but I did not know it also gave them the right to punch fellow fans. According to the article, no charges were filed. Insanity.

Surprised it doesn't happen more to be honest. As a follower of European soccer you are probably well aware that opposing fans still need to have their own sections and a line of stewards in between them. This includes England. In 2021.
