I've had a few drinks tonight.

One piece of advie, don't buy a beer simply because if has 5000 in it's name. It's neither futuristic nor cool becasue it's close to my screen name.

Does drinking make anyone else realize how much life sucks besides me? I often get in this reflective state, but lately more often when drunk. Hard to explain my exact thoughts, but you know...

The last time I tried to drink my screename was in college; I had a cube of Icehouse one night. Last time that ever happened.

I don't think there's a JeeberD beer, or even a Jeeber or Jeebs beer.

I should be nice and toasty when I get home from the game tonight...

My town sucks. Cavs game was on tonight, but the bars were empty, even the sports bar. Had 1 beer at one of places I stopped in at. Ended up at Starbucks with a frapachino and a skodoku puzzle for the bulk of the evening. I shouldn't even be posting in this thread after a night like that ...

Had a pticher of Shiner (plus a couple of bottles before I went to the bar) and a vodka cranberry. Feeling pretty good right now...at least I was sober enough to beat my brother's butt twice in a row at NTN Trivia after the game was over.

My boss invited me out for a 'beer ot two' tonight. I don't know if I should go or not. I keep seeing visions of me drunk off my ass making a complete and utter fool of myself while he stares on in disbelief

Two options. Depending on your boss:

1. Have a beer or two then leave your boss and drink somewhere else

2. Get him drunker than you

Yeah, and why was that? Cause Michael Douglas had "morals."

Early night for me, although it doesn't feel like one. I'm such a fucking pathetic loser, still pining over lost love from over 2 months ago. After making the rounds of 3 different bars (including an encounter with one homosexual conspiracy nut!) I ended up at a park where me and the ex once watched a meteror shower. It was just as cold tonight (Ohio, 24F) as it must have been that night. I drank a bunch of Jm Beam stright up reminienceing over fonder times. Surprised I made it home goodnight all!

My roommate, bless his soul, wanted me to have a drink about 4 hours before I came in to work tonight.

No thanks, I like my position in the Navy right now. Well, not really. That just wasn't part of the vision I have of my leaving the Navy.

its a good thing i kept this thread bookmarked at the top, b/c i know i couldnt find it tonight!

anyways, another long, lonely night out on this pathetic piece of shit town. i know this sounds sterotypical, but i think the more i drink, the more sober i become. i was talking it up early on, but as i drunk more, i realized what a waste of time and money it was and just sat there reflecting on life

maybe spending some time at some AA meetings will help, although i don't need to be there, its something to pass the time, right? make fun of all the real drunks and such LOL. i need to go to bed.....

Interesting point. Does anyone else besides me have a job where no one cares if you show up drunk or adequately buzzed?

Wow. I used to work morning drive, so I'd occasionally get into work around 4:30 still feeling it from the night before, but definitely not something I would want to do on a regular basis.

On a similair note, I couldn't tell you how many folks I've seen get fired from the OG for drinking on the job. I've come in to work a couple of times from being drunk the night before (and once from drinking on my break, that one is a long story) and there's certainly no way that I would choose to be drunk while serving...

We don't get that, but if that's the Boston beer, even as a bitter drinker I liked that stuff from what I remember from when I was over there
