I make it 5-2-2 to mau at the moment which is a pretty big swing.

It's a big swing, from the point I made it 3-3-2, the voters were all on the block, so it seems just self defense. We could really use the rest of the votes about now to give us something to work with.

Might be worth throwing some votes around and seeing if we can draw some of them out?

At this late stage, I have to think we're committed to this today, and maybe we can look at that tomorrow.

By my rough count, this last stretch on mauboy1 has put him up three votes with 5, over 2 each for mckerney and tyketime. I don't like that swing or the lack of competition for the Day One voe, so I'll move this back a little closer.

With eight roles defined as having the possibility that their vote counts twice, I will again reiterate that this may not play out like a normal two-horse race. Of course, those with two-vote abilities may not want to vote today so that there is less of a chance to distinguish them from normal votes.

No need to leave my vote out there as wasted. Really wish more people would have put in a vote when they checked in.

I'm leaving in a few minutes to get my kids. I wanted to try to keep it a 3 vote race to force voters coming in to make a real choice. It's looking like Mckerney's getting left in the dust though so I may move before I head out.

Apart from Chief's vote it certainly doesn't look like the wolves are making any sort of move to save mau which doesn't fill me with huge amounts of confidence about my vote.

Guests around deadline make me suspicious. Or is that meta-gamey?

This is why I don't like the idea of not voting peope that don't show up as much. As an often first day absentee, I'd totally understand getting voted off when I don't show up. But now we're voting for 3 people that have at least been involved in the discussion rather than that 7 (I think?)who didn't bother to put a vote in, some of which who haven't said a word yet.

Yes, but if we vote someone who hasn't shown up, we could off the seer without a chance for them to defend themselves. I just think that's always a bad play.

Ah, it is. I was tempted to tie it to see if we could out any of those double votes. But as it is, we don't know when we'll have a tie, given the funny votes out there.

just something to think about with the people posting vote counts...they arent right...there are way too many mulitple votes out there, so we really dont know...not saying don't put up vote counts, but the biggest reason i voted mau is because a one vote differnce could still be a tie.

Well, with another vote on Mckerney, I'll stay there. It's a hard game to make any last minute moves in, not knowing if you're helping or screwing things up. Gotta run for a few.

There is definitely potential for carnage, with 'tie = all die' in the ruleset...

With the potential for lots of double votes (due to all of the roles), it's going to be difficult to get the balance between keeping it close (for better information and analysis further down the line) and making sure that we don't take out multiple players at a time.

Might need to rethink my vote, in that case - will give it a wee while before making that call, though... (It's a strange feeling to know that I'll actually be around for deadline for a change!)

The Family meets to discuss who the traitors could be. A lot of back and forth, but eventually mauboy1 is chosen. The hit is ordered, and the next morning, you gather to read reports that Michael Corleone has been snuffed out.

A few hours later, word reaches the compound that Kay Adams, girlfriend of Michael Corleone, was found dead in her apartment. Police have considered the death a suicide, perhaps because of the death of her lover, perhaps because of her own self-hatred. But soon a package arrives at the compound. It's a picture of Kay with a B slashed through it -- no doubt the work of Barzini and his associates. Chief Rum was Kay Adams and is dead!

Didn't expect that to happen for another hour - Daylight Savings adjustments strike again...

Not a good start, but I can't help thinking that mauboy held back on a big reveal after what happened in the last game.

Also I am going this way instead of tyke because I have a smidgen of trust for him at this point. Some things he said in his odd I am not voting stance helped me get there. I am not going mckerney not because I have any trust for him but because I don't feel like piling on him two days in a row. So that is what I am thinking just in case anyone is wondering why I went in an opposite direction from day one.
