This UCLA performance has blown my mind. This is so far outside my expected result for this game that I'm questioning my sanity.

Texas should have put him in concussion protocol and played that back-up.

Look, who hasn't taken 3 sacks after a backup throws a 25 yard completion.

In non important news, my Furman Paladins are 4-1. Their 1 loss is to a team without scholarships, at home, in overtime, after being up 28 points.

If you change 1 play a game, they could easily be either 5-0 or 0-5.

Cristobal will always Cristobal, but WTF is Norvell doing on that 19 play drive? There was almost no urgency and they ensured that an onside kick would be necessary.

If you were up 17 with 8:32 left, and the opponent offered to knock 5:10 off the clock in exchange for a Touchdown, you have to take that, right?

Arch Manning has not played well at all and is not anywhere near living up to the preseason hype. Full Stop.

And.

Arch Manning probably should not being leading the Longhorns in rushing attempts, rushing yards and rushing TDs. Longhorn QBs also probably should not have the top two longest runs of the season for the Longhorns.

His receivers are also god awful. Horrible routes and bad drops. It looks like a poorly coached team all around.

Who's the favorite for first QB drafted? I've never seen a group disappoint more. At this point, I'd be surprised if Manning even enters the draft this year. Klubnick, Nussmeier, and Allar and all struggling. Maybe Mateer?

Fernando Mendoza seems to be the favorite right now with Mateer right behind him. Dante Moore is one to keep an eye on though.

Never bought into the Klubnick and Allar hype. Nussmeier seemed interesting but hasn't taken a step forward.

I've seen Lanoris Sellers up on some boards too. I feel like this is going to shuffle a lot between now and the draft. There just aren't many guys who are above the fray.

I have seen some even have him number one over all. He has tools and is young enough that teams might fall in love with his "potential ". As in flux this group of QB are, he has a real shot to be top pick.

Other than UNC alum and fans, is anyone not enjoying Belichick's absolute flameout in UNC? Every humiliation that he and Mike Lombardi suffer is more delightful than the last. I used to listen to Lombardi's podcast, "The GM Shuffle". While it was entertaining, he was pretty much an insufferable blowhard and complete Belichick slappy. So, it's been enjoyable to see them both continually step in it.

Even as a UNC fan, I’m enjoying it. Watching two of the most full of themselves human beings in football get humiliated week after week is just joy. And I’m kind of happy that the UNC admin that made this idiotic decision in the first place has to live with it.

I don’t like my team sucking, but this is about as foreseeable and self-inflicted as a disaster can be.

And now they are already talking buy out. What a shit show.

I know it does not make sense from UNC’s perspective, but part of me wishes that they would not buy him out and just make him keep racking up humiliating losses until he quits

They are saying the possibility of multiple major recruiting violations coming. How do you even do that in this day and age? People were still shaming the Falcons for not hiring this joker when it was pretty clear he was washed.

I don't trust everyone's commitment to the continued humiliation of Belichick and Co. I suspect this will go the way of MJ's Wizards run or even better comparison, Saban's run with the Dolphins.

That feels like their way of not having to pay the buyout.

The surveillance video doesn't really make it look great for Lacey. I mean, I understand why someone might feel the need to swerve their car when another car is passing people and heading right towards you over 40 miles above the speed limit.

The only real story in this is the reminder that ESPN pays worse-than-useless race hustlers like Ryan Clark.

So how the hell can a private equity group buy 10% of the Big Ten conference for two billion dollars when all of the schools except two are public schools?

They aren't buying "the conference" ... they're buying into a new-to-be-formed entity ("Big Ten Enterprises") that will have control of all leaguewide media rights and sponsorship contracts (reportedly with an extension of those until 2046)

And now it seems that it's technically not going to be a "private equity group" but rather the an investment arm of University of California Pension System ... who are willing to bet $2B of their retirees money that this sucker doesn't end up collapsing under its own weight (or under Congressional intervention)

Jerry Nuheislal is going to be one of the hot assistant interviews this offseason. UCLA will probably have to give him the job to keep him.

It was crazy to promote him from RB coach when he had never even been a coordinator. RB coach is usually the spot for your top recruiter that isn't very good the X's and O's.

Holy shit, I didn't see Franklin getting fired today.

$48 mil buyout plus the coaching staff. You're probably looking at $60+ mil in buyouts.
