Yeah wasn't sure if they're thinking "what's this kid saying? That's not where his glove was, just keep asking him" lol.

Just saw that replay. How was that not fan interference?

I want this game to end because of a home run, a strikeout or a tag at home, not with a fan reaching into the field of play and catching a ball.

The Blue Jays most defining moment in franchise history is a home run when they were behind. I'd prefer they score some actual runs in the 8th and deflate this crowd, but...we'll just see how it goes.

Bats has decided to carry the rest of the Jays on his back. And what a catch by Revere.

Cutting 3 to keep the runner at first and not anticipating Cain going home cost them there.

Twice that up and away has been called a strike this inning.

Why did the runner duck going to third? Gave the fielder a clear throw.

Cain had a very nice at bat in the bottom of the Eight. He was able to lay off some tough pitches.
Go Mets! Revere was a lost cause batting in the 9th. Dont they have a pinch hitter? With the infield in and the needing a flyball he is about the last player Id want hitting there. Last edited by jbergey22 : 10-23-2015 at 11:31 PM. |

Sadly, interfering in that game and turning the double into a homer is going to be the greatest achievement of that kid's life. He is like the reverse Bartman, the new hero of the Royals.

The umpire absolutely hamstrung the Blue Jays at the end of that game. If that's a strike, they suddenly have to swing at everything. Really unfortunate. That being said, you had a guy at third with no outs. You better be able to get that guy home. |

I'm trying to remember when I last cared about baseball. Maybe 2008? Somewhere around there. I've made efforts to get interested in the Padres, but it just hasn't clicked yet. Probably due to the lack of salary cap, which bothers me more and more as the years go by.

Haven't seen the series line yet, I assume the Mets are a slight underdog. It will be a tough series. I know the Royals are generally good contact hitters which will help against the heat of the Mets staff. Believe I saw a stat that they had the highest BA against 95+ MPH.
Fuck it. Mets in 6. |

Congrats to the Royals. They are an excellent baseball team. There are many things about how they played this season that i don't like, but that doesn't take away from their talent. The majority of their fans are intense, passionate, and loyal. Those fans represent the team well. Good luck in the World Series.
I've been a Jays fan all my life, and this is the first run I've witnessed as an adult. I'll miss this team very much, and am already counting down the days until April.

I don't agree. You need someone in the lineup that scares you and No one in the Mets lineup does anything like that. Lagares is a great defensive player, but he can't hit his way out of a wet paper bag. Hopefully Wright can have a good year next year, but the spinal stenosis really worries me. I don't have a problem with the Mets letting anyone walk, but I know what they are going to do this off-season and it's nothing. They'll let Murphy walk and then move Flores to 2B with Tejada's abysmal bat at SS.

Fully agree, but look at the charts. Apparently Jeff Nelson wanted to go home after the rain delay because he had a pretty solid game otherwise.

The Cardinals, Royals, and Dodgers are all missing that guy that scares you are they're doing ok. It's an overrated part of any lineup. Productive hitters are productive hitters. Cespedes is highly unlikely to play anything like he did this year moving forward. It would be stupid of the Mets to pay him long term based on a career year. That would be a classic move under the Wilpons and the type of move I hope the Mets have learned they don't have to make. |

Did not see that coming, but I guess he played with John Farrell. I'll admit my heart skipped a beat when I read we hired him, so I'm very glad it's as a 1B coach and not a(nother) aGM to go with Frank Wren.

It's World Series day.
To ALL the Royals fans...good luck. Think it's going to be a very good series. Seems like the early/mid innings should favor the Mets' pitching, the late innings should favor the Royals' pitching, and the lineups are fairly evenly matched so whoever does their job better deserves to win, as it should be. But things usually don't work out just as they're drawn up. Last edited by Logan : 10-27-2015 at 07:49 AM. |

Looks like the rain is going to let up right around first pitch, so we should be good to go for games 1/2 today and tomorrow. Really like the matchup tonight. Obviously more worried about tomorrow as far as which Cueto will show up.

i wish teams wouldn't be allowed to add minor leaguers to their playoff rosters, unless they had at least some service time with the major league club during the year.

Another game that comes down to defense and relief pitching. You don't want to get in those battles against the Royals. Good start to the series. I expect the Royals to lose tomorrow with Cueto on the mound, so this win was very big.

Umm, 1 error apiece. 1 unearned run apiece. I think a better argument might be made about the experience on this stage than about the difference in defense or bullpens honestly.

The TV outage was funny. There is a technical difficulty, which sucks because no baseball. And FOX is telling us they will fix it as soon as they can. OK, that's kind of urgent.
Then we get the MLB.com feed, and the game starts again. No longer urgent. But Fox is still giving us scrolls and breathless updates telling us that they will fix it as soon as they can. Like FOX honestly believed that there is a subset of fans out there who tuned in to watch the World Series who didn't actually care about the game, but were instead much more concerned about getting to listen to Joe Buck talk about the game. Other than the immediate relatives of the guys in the booth and the folks who paid for in-game promos, I have a hard time thinking of whoever else would have noticed or cared once the game re-started. |

Should have been two errors by the Mets, with one given to Cespedes on the opening play. 1-10 w/ RISP killed the Mets last night, as did the black hole known as Michael Cuddyer. I was furious when Collins had Flores bunt (who was swinging really well despite being 0-4) to get a runner on 2nd for Cuddyer, who wasn't close to getting a hit or making decent contact. Poor slide by Wright into second which should have had him in place for Murphy... None of that takes away from the Royals. The bullpen was as good as advertised although I like that they did something against Herrera at least. Just a weird game overall, not just for the length. The opening play, that ball off the bag at 3rd, the Hosmer error, Familia being human. Happy to get back to it tonight with deGrom on the mound. Last edited by Logan : 10-28-2015 at 07:25 AM. |

Most of the people here were thrilled when Matt V. was the one announcing when the feed came back on. It was almost comical when Joe Buck and the crew came trouncing into the MLB booth to continue announcing the game. If I was Matt V. and I knew the situation, I would have accidentally locked the booth door. |

Two bad throws by the Mets as well that resulted in hits, one of which lead to the winning run. Anyone who looks at how many errors to figure out who was the better fielding team obviously didn't watch the game. |
