What's interesting about this series is while it has been very compelling as a whole, only one game (3) has been interesting to watch. The average margin of victory has been 6 runs and I have only watched one game past the 6th inning. I'm hopeful tonight is more like game 3 than games 4, 5 or 6.

Saw that in the last 9 Game 7 WS games, the home team is 9-0. We do NOT want to be the one to break that streak.

Especially since it'll likely be another thirty years before the Royals make it back!

Really, Sun? Shitting on Bochy? After all this?

I'd say the bigger blunder was starting Volquez in a one game playoff.

This town has just shut down over the past couple of days. Had two things cancelled last night and my daughter's gymnastic gym also shut down for the day. Everyone's focused on these games. It's just nuts. It's going to be weird going back to a sense of normalcy after the excitement of this past month for this city.

Good news is that Mizzou's first basketball pre-season game is tonight. Thanks to the Royals, there's not much down time between my two favorite sports!!!!!!

Cubs about to hire Maddon.

Supposedly just waiting until game 7 is over to announce.

That sucks for Renteria, especially since the Cubs were showing some progress. Though big time hires like these seem to seldom work out.

The only reason to ever take a managerial job with a losing club that isn't expecting to immediately contend is for resume purposes if it's a large market club, or if the club is small/medium market (and thus unlikely to splash the cash on a "name" to replace you once they're ready to win).

But overall there have been 36 World Series game 7's and it's 18-18. So it's still a crapshoot.

What a disgustingly mismanaged series for Bochy. Unlike 2010 and 2012, if the Giants pull this thing out it will be in spite of their hard-headed manager.

Travis Ishikawa has been a disaster in LF, and Bumgarner not starting games 4 and 7 is absolutely unforgivable.

I think all teams hate their managers. On the RR thread, there's a guy talking about how stupid it was that Ventura didn't come out after 7-0 because he could have pitched tonight.

Why do some players still dive in to first base? If he runs through that he is safe.

I want to see what he has after 117 the other night. I'm irrationally confident about him getting hit and Bochy leaving him in too long
