No. The MLB crew is on site doing an international broadcast. It's an English broadcast that goes everywhere except the U.S.

This Murphy kid seems awfully high on his knowledge of the strike zone. All three strikes he's complained about and they were all strikes on the chart. Swing the f'n bat and quit complaining.

Nice game Royals. Maybe they can put up about 8 runs in the first inning each of the next two games, send the fans home early. The Royals are definitely the lesser of two evils here.

Total bonus win there. That's one that the Mets had to expect to win. They had their ace going against what's been our weakest playoff starter. Bullpen is also well rested now, which was key after last night's game.

15 of the last 16 that went up 2-0 won the World Series. Hopefully the Royals don't buck that trend.

(Bud)Black edged out former Reds manager Dusty Baker for the Nationals job, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden and multiple reports.

Is it just me or does that pair of finalists scream "Uh ... nope" to anybody else?

Incredible stat I heard this morning: Royals have swung and missed at pitches just four times through the first two games.

I can see the appeal of Dusty. For all I griped about his lineup choices, his players love him and play hard every night. After the dumpster fire of this season, I could see why Dusty was a potential alternative.

What's helpful, and this is my biggest complaint from last night, is that deGrom was consistently getting to 0-2 and 1-2 counts and throwing the ball right down the fucking middle of the plate. Whatever happened to throwing a slider in the dirt? The Royals are too good of a hitting team to not actually take advantage when the situation is way in your favor. Instead, right in the center of the zone. Just awful command by deGrom.

Funny thing is, he got the Royals to swing and miss on three pitches (no strikeouts). Harvey got them on one (a strikeout).

I'm afraid the aggressiveness could hurt them in a game or two moving forward, but after beating the Mets ace like they did, I don't see how the Mets can come back to win the series.

Black actually did pretty good early in his tenure. But then the Pads tanked a little, and then tried to buy their way back in. No idea how much of that was on Black (the day to day performance, that is, I know he didn't do the organizational moves).

I will say this with complete certainty: Bud Black is a better manager than Matt Williams.

Normally I would agree but the Mets have 3 aces. Their pitching keeps them in every game. If the Mets bats can heat up they can win 3-4 in a row. Royals wont give them anything though so the Mets will have to earn it against them.

Royals arent the most talented team in the league but they are the most hard headed and smart team in the league.

Agree with you here, but the Royals make contact on everything. That's something the Mets aren't used to. I would say that Mets absolutely need to win game 3 to have a chance to turn the series around.

haha, come on. Maybe its the idiots in Toronto that are getting to me, but i can't just let this comment go. Not strong enough.

AA LEFT. His choice. He wants fully baseball authority. New president Mark Shapiro wants to have the final say on baseball decisions. Nothing wrong with either stand, and that's what happened. Do people really think AA knew he wasn't going to work under Shapiro a month before Shapiro was hired?

He turned down a 5-year deal.

Now, I'm not sure why Toronto is hiring Mark Shapiro given his track record vs. Anthopoulos's.

Btw, I think the Red Sox have a 3B coach spot open if he's interested.

Right back in it. Not sure what the expectation is for Young tonight, after all the pitches he threw during game 1 but I'm guessing he'll be able to give them plenty. Hoping having seen him already for a few innings will give the Mets a little more success this time around.

I'll be there tonight and cannot wait.

I don't know if this is true, but if so it's a wild coincidence:

G2: NYM lose by 6.
G3: NYM win by 6.
Won World Series

Get over it FOX. The pitched missed Escobar by a foot. Last time I checked a pitcher is allowed to throw inside.

One more game for the title. I personally think the Mets will win tomorrow, but I'll be shocked if it goes more than six games. I don't think the Mets are nearly as good as the Blue Jays from what I've seen.

I'll give you game 1, you earned it, you hit a HR off our closer.

Let's not go nuts about game 4, we gave that game away. Collins poorly managed game 4 and it began with using Familia in game 3 unnecessarily.

But if the Mets executed in game 1 and game 4, this is 3-1 the opposite way.

To say we aren't as good as the Blue Jays is a bit much and just acting unnecessarily cocky.

I think from here on out, Collins should tell his starters to expect to go complete game if they are pitching well.

Truth. The Mets staff is just pure nasty. Anyone that conclude from 4 games that any team is better than another team doesnt really understand baseball and the inches that can make or break a game or series.

Royals late inning stats are just silly and the Mets can't execute a defensive play late to save their lives. Hosmer's out by a wide margin if that throw is on line.

Congrats to you Royals fans. It's frustrating watching the wheels fall off the defense but this team was never very good defensively and was really playing above their head for the first two rounds. Oddly enough, Flores was excellent with the glove all series. Either way, the Royals got the timely hits they needed and we didn't. Simple as that. Hopefully the team got the taste and can come back next season and do what the Royals did.

I was at Game 4 and despite the loss had an amazing time. Anyone who has a chance to watch their team in the World Series should absolutely do what they can to attend. Was really happy to get non-secondary market tickets so I was able to take my wife also. Just an experience we'll always remember and appreciate, not lessened at all by the series loss.

Bunch of friends were going last night and despite being out from 10a-4p for the NYC marathon, I went and tailgated with them just to soak up the experience a bit more and then took the train home myself. Prices had gone way down earlier in the day after the G4 loss, and I should have pulled the trigger on a decent seat for $250 which was about $600 under what it had been going for a day earlier. Few hours later and best I could do was standing room for $350...if I hadn't been the day before, I would have done it but after all that I was very happy to be on my couch for that 12th inning.

Congrats again.

Closing down the winery tomorrow to go to the parade. I'm not sure that any workplace is going to have more than skeleton staff tomorrow. My kindergarten daughter just wants to go to school and play with her friends, but I'm going down with my eight year old daughter to soak it all in. I'm not sure the parade route can be long enough.

It's a good question. In the bottom of the 12th, Citi Field was packed with nothing but Royals fans.
