Temple of Elemental Evil is awesome. I got it off GOG a few months ago and downloaded that Circle of Eight mod. It crashed a few times here and there, but overall the game was quite stable.

Beyond making the game playable, the mod adds a bunch of new content and really helps you make the game you want to play. You can increase the number of PCs from 5 to 8, for example.

I played it all the way through and loved it. A great implementation of the 3.5 edition D&D and turn-based glory.

I found that bitch to be reallllly hard and didn't play it much. THe biggest problem I found was that I counldn't retreat. So once one guy died it was pretty much over as it wouldn't let me save the others.

except that they had hardly any games in stock. Major LOL there.

But I did pick up FIFA, Hot Shots Golf, and...an extra copy of Hot Shots. Guess I'll trade that for something eventually.

I want to get these at some point even if it's just for the aspect of just having them, but boy this isn't the time for this deal to happen. They will likely be dirt cheap during the holidays so I'll wait till then.

Picked up the XBox 360 wireless controller for Windows from amazon for 43.99. The controller works with the Xbox 360 as well. It includes a USB dongle which enables you to use multiple Xbox360 controllers on your pc. That piece is normally 19.99, I believe.

I plan to hook my laptop to the TV so we can play some tandem Portal/Portal 2

I think one of these is a must own for anyone who does much PC gaming. I wouldn't bother with any other gamepad, pretty much every game you'd want to use a pad supports 360 pads, some don't support anything else. I do wish they bundled the new 360 controller wither the wireless adapter, haven't seen it yet.

You can play split screen coop in Portal 2, but it takes some work to setup.

How-to: Split Screen Coop - Steam Users' Forums

Hopefully once they implement Big Picture Mode for Steam Valve games will have split screen coop as a menu option.

Gamersgate has the complete D&D Anthology

Baulders Gate 1&2
Icewind Dale 1&2
Planescape Torment
Temple of Elemental Evil

All for the amazing price of $6.78 for all of them in one pack.

Wow.

Or you could buy Baulders Gate 1 or 2 for $3.38 each which doesn't sound that great considering.

Google has decided to rebrand Android Marketplace to Google Play Store. As such they are having 7 days of deals starting to day. One of todays $.49 games is a simple soccer simulation, Pocket League Story, made by the Game Dev Story creators.

Warning: Pocket League Story is insanely addictive. I pumped more hours into it than I did Game Dev Story. Like all of the Kairosoft games I don't think I'd play through it twice, but it's a ton of fun while it lasts. I got Dungeon Village on the weekend and so far so good.

Or....if you already own it and you want to gift it to, I don't know, maybe someone who has it on their wish list, it's 75% off ($7.50). {cough, cough}

It seems like Amazon is in the business of one upping video game sales lately. I was going to grab FM on Steam tonight when I got home, but I can't pass this up.

Ding! That will be my price point. I liked the reviews and videos I saw. And can certainly appreciate a more adult oriented title. But the original $60 was just too much for me. But now... she may be mine!
