Night 7 Results
A lot has happened overnight. Chief Rum has been found murdered in cold blood. Next to his body lies a note "Viva La Resistance". Chief Rum was an ER nurse who had lost everything to tragedy and volunteered for this mission to get away from it all, ultimately that was achieved. JAG has been found in a pool of blood. There was a mighty struggle and he fell victim to his attacker. There is a note left with him as well, Seek the Truth. JAG was a high school football coach that was fired because of deflating balls. He joined the mission to start over. There has been an accident. Another trap has been set and britrock88 was caught in the trap. He has been injured but it will not affect his actions for day 8. There is a new government structure as Shoveler is now Thomkal's right hand man. There has been a loss to the police force and to the medical staff. New choices are coming. |

vote for her if you want, I was just letting you know that unless someone else had solid evidence on her there was no way I was going to have her lynched or imprisoned when she basically just turned the govt over to me and said she trusted me more than anybody else in the game. And in light of her turning over the manifest information like many asked her to do, I have even less reason to see her go to trial. So by all means explain why she is guilty to you. But I will need more than your opinion, I will need proof. |

Day 8 Actions
Thomkal - Can name another member to the police force (another colonist or move Shoveler from government to police force) Colony - Lynch vote; no more trials with the vote Individuals - Since you don't know who you can trust you may decide your own actions (explore the flatlands, explore the heat source, explore the unknown landing site); if you can decide on a group to go with in the thread, that may help keep you safe Day 8 has begun, deadline is 10 PM EST Friday. |

So, I'm not terribly hurt. I can either be treated or do work (explore the flatlands?) today.

With the major changes that took place due to a couple events that triggered the change I guess we can now say to the new players... Welcome to Werewolf |

So these kills were both distinctly different to the earlier deaths. I suspect that a team of wolves has been "activated" while the lone murderer is still on the loose. I'm going to assume that the wolves were aware of each other, at least, yesterday so voting patterns are important. Still, two night kills is a bit of a worry. Targeting Chief and Jag suggests the wolves know what they're about as they're two of the strongest villagers in the game (I'd go as far as to say that Jag is the strongest). So Autumn better sleep with one eye open as he's next in-line.
Golden if you duke you really ought to duke to someone who was involved in the vote so we get information on voting-patterns. Duking to Font tells us very little. Re the original murderer/saboteur - CF gets out of jail (if I remember correctly he got out today) and suddenly there's another trap attack? Dunno what to think about that. If CF was the murderer I would have thought he'd lay off the attacks for a day at least. But maybe he has a condition that he has to lay traps/attack if he is able. Someone ought to protect Britrock today if possible. |

Re-reading this I think Chief was hit by a standard night-action wolf attack while JAG was maybe some sort of one-off and not necessarily a standard wolf attack. |

OK
I think we're looking at least one wolf who is experienced from werewolf on this site. I don't think Autumn targets both Chief and JAG though (presuming that the wolf team made both of the kills) as that leaves question marks about him if he survives. Do we assume that the wolves knew their team mates from the start and knew that they were wolves. If we say yes to that then I really don't buy DanGarion as a wolf with the way he acted on day one. I can't imagine any wolf would act that way, it's guaranteed to get you looks and grief for absolutely no gain whatsoever. I'm a bit concerned about Thomkal's unvote fail and then retraction. EF hadn't put up a list so it smacks a little bit of him being prompted that his vote is no good. Then again if he was a wolf he wouldn't have to worry about that as he could acquit the person (who would have to be Crimson or, more unlikely DanGarion, for it to matter). On the other, other hand he would be want to avoid having to acquit someone who later turned out to be a wolf. On the third other hand I don't really think that Crimson is the wolf. I don't think Golden duking the vote automatically assures us that he's village. But I tend to think he is anyway. JAG and Chief both going down makes me want to look at, oh, Zinto, Jackal or Britrock. I think it's safe to say that the attacker who took out JAG must be pretty strong. |

So 2 people that died were both "good guys" that lost everything and were starting over like ntn.
Makes me want to look at the "bad guys" who committed crimes. did brit say what he was? also, we have 100 hp. I wonder if like each "wolf" did like a certain amount of damage and they all get to attack. Thus they did enough to kill jag and chief but not brit |

So we can scratch Danny or JAG. That leaves me with Jackal, Brit, Suicane, Shark and Crimson. If we hypothesize that the wolves have been "activated" by mission control then the stowaway can't be a wolf and that let's Crimson off the hook. Leaving me with Jackal, Brit, Suican and Shark. As we all know Jackal is ALWAYS a wolf. He's played a game where he hasn't been UTR but hasn't really committed a whole lot either (admittedly I'm throwing stones in a glasshouse here but whatyagonnado)? Vote The Jackal |

I think this is very murky. Two murders last night that did not fit the M.O. of the original killer. Another person trapped and injured. Our second person trapped. Is that our original killer? Very possibly. A lot going on here.

Either that or that there are multiple factions working to kill each other without knowing who the others are? Is this even a possibility in a werewolf game? Since I'm a total n00b, I don't know the ins and outs.

I would say that the colour posts made by EF would suggest one wolf team with a lone saboteur role. Two wolf teams each with a night kill would be brutal. I'm currently hoping JAG's killing was a one-off power. I can't imagine that a villager would use a day-kill on JAG so it would be logical for it to be a wolf attack - unless someone had an ulterior motive in removing JAG. |

Grover, conversions are in fact things in werewolf. They usually only occur the first two nights if any. Any more and they are too powerful. However the other thing is that sometimes mods use different descriptions of death which indicate specifically which murderer killed them if there are more than one. Like in Abe's Red Death game, EF was a werecrocodile and the write-ups all involved parts of people being eaten off. While Autumn and I were the shapeshifter and the mode of death was snapping their neck/breaking bones etc. So The first two deaths were strangulation of wounded people. Now we have 2 people lying in their own blood. This could be the work of a specific other killer or maybe it is the gun. I think the crime scene might have to be investigated a little to find the cause of death if someone can do that. |

incidently saldana, i understand your concerns now about thomkal's power. I cannot imagine there aren't other things in the game to balance that or cancel it out. death itself would cause a new leader thing i'm sure. maybe thom can appoint new peeps at whim whatever.

Right, but I am asking: is it possible there are the wolves and then a singular rogue killer that has no ties to the wolves and that the wolves don't know who the singular killer is and vice-versa.

Yes that's possible. There have been multiple groups of evils in games before. Sometimes that means multiple deaths and sometimes only one gets it. There are also one-shot kills as narcizo said. Those can be from either team. there is a possibility the killers don't know each other and work independently too. But with the people killed I"m not a fan of this theory. I like the gun for being in a killer's hands and it gives them that extra kill. Still I think the hit points enter into this too. I just got done with a game that was all about hit points. people took damage from votes as well as nightkill attempts. |

Agreed. Like Thomkal said, I think our first killer can only prey on the weak. Hence the traps that deplete hit points.

I assume that both kills were not by the same source. Or should I say all three attempts. Britrock's sounds like the saboteur who has struck before.

I think we absolutely have a new group of "wolves", hte "resistance" to Thomkal's government. I assume that is a response to his taking over leadership and that they were simply players before. There are clearly characters with strong goals to be leaders, and I am guessing that some of those who have opposed Thomkal's form of government are the ones to look at for our new killers. we may be able to narrow down prospects by the fact that someone very tough managed to take on JAG, which suggests someone with a high physical score. Chief was probably easy to kill.
So I am looking for someone with a stake in who leads the government, or what kind of government it is, and someone who excels physically. that will be my vote today if I find it. I think our original killer is still here, set the trap, and probably is unrelated to and ignorance of the resistance. Their motive is less clear and mayb eless of a worry for this lynch. |

It sounds like our police force can guard one person and investigate one person every night, so we are going to need that to come through for us. It is possible we will continue to have multiple kills a night, since having an elected position with special powers is very powerful for the village. So we are going to need our cops to come through.
I will work on Britrock today. I don't think I'd be great at exploring and i think it's a poor idea to risk any of our medical personnel anyway. We need to make sure not to have any wounded around for our saboteur. |
