Went to the bar last night with some coworkers...
One was so drunk he attempted to flip me off with his index finger. "If you're going to flip me off, use the middle finger asshole!" |

I do have to say RendeR is an awesome friend...
Rough week in my neck of the woods and he took me out drinking last night and helped me get thoroughly trashed. I passed out on the car ride home and resumed as soon as I got through the door at home...... Head Pounding this morning.....

Ok, so I was drinking some Johnnie Walker Black Label. I went to the fridge & realized I had bought a beer! Not just any beer, but this:
10% alcohol. I'm feeling pretty damn good. GO LIONS! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! |

Get yourself some Dogfish Head 120. 20% and you don't taste it. So it's 8 bucks a bottle, who cares.
For the Imperial Stouts I've been downing Old Rasputin lately. I've been getting way to snobby with my tastes lately. |

Never heard of that beer, it looks really good. I love stouts, and imperial stouts are quite nice.
This is what I'm drinking, I really like this cider (it tastes a little...spicier than regular Woodchuck hard cider): /tk

120's sold in singles. I usually go for the 90, not cheap but still 1/4 the cost of the 120 and damn good.

Yeah, bought that a little while ago, good stuff. I'm also a fan of the Palo Santo. I always go back to the 90 though.

Wondering somewhat rhetorically if I've ever posted in this thread before.
Damn, sure don't take much to get there anymore. Of course, since my last drink was something like 8 or 9 months ago, I guess that's understandable & especially since I haven't eaten since lunch & I'm getting older most definitely.

Sad f'n part of it is that I know that I could go back to largely sober with about two decent sized cups of coffee. Makes it a bitch to really enjoy when you know how fleeting it is.

The options seem to be keep drinking the beer that's left (Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout, followed by about a dozen Sam Adams Double Bocks) and lose the remainder of the feeling in my face OR hit the coffee and lose the buzz within an hour OR see what some soft drink caffeine does to the buzz (typically not much, just a slightly more energetic druink at that point). In any case, me & alcohol have always had a weird relationship, seems the faster I get buzzed/then solidly drunk/then drunk +1 too many the quicker I sober up or at least lose most of the effects (it's f'n sad how many typos I've fixed in this post just cause I noticed them & figure it was too sloppy to leave em if I could see em). What I oughta done was knock down some caffeine before the booze but I wasn't that smart i guess. Instead, I'm just drunk & drowsy at this point and that ain't as much fun as I wish it was.

After a hard day of shopping and cooking and failing to hydrate, 4 Newcastles have knocked me f*cking loopy. Only one more left in the fridge.

Drinking a Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre, one of my favorite beers. Not really aiming to get drunk (actually, I REALLY need to hydrate to get the gunk out of my legs from my workout), but quite enjoying the beer all the same.
Have 4 more bottles of the Raison, plus 2 or 3 bottles of a pumpkin beer I don't like and 2 or so of one that isn't bad (the Shipyard one is the one that isn't bad, don't remember who made the one I don't like). /tk

Note to self: whenever you're cooking, if you are drunk enough to post in the 'Drunk Guy' thread, you should probably reconsider adding fresh chopped jalapeno peppers when the recipe doesn't call for anything remotely like it.
Yes, putting that on a post-it on the fridge is smart. |

Three days of high physical and mental stress have earned me enough Newcastles to get me nicely buzzed. Turns out three did the trick. Starting on my 4th because, to be honest, I've earned that one too.
I have ten pounds of filleted chicken breasts marinating. I have a double batch of nearly perfectly cooked Mexican corn bread that absolutely delighted my father. And my bum ankle is swollen like a grapefruit. end status report |

If I posted in this thread every time I was drunk, people would think I was a recycled amdaily. Okay, maybe not that bad...BTW is amdaily still alive? Or did his pancreas, liver, and kidneys all Thelma & Louise it together?

Didn't make any friends when I had the bar maid put on Olympic curling.
But WOW, by the end of the night the place was rocking for team Canada. I think I made a whole bunch of fans for the sport.
