I really feel sorry for all you guys. It's not fair for me to compete in this dungeon, I'm just too AWESOME!

Damn, so we've got dubb way out ahead of the pack, Darth Vilus at level 5... Anybody else want to trump up how good they're doing right now so we know how many spots the rest of us are battling for?

In the last two days we've killed an Evil Bard and an Evil Assassin (not mckerney or Autumn). The Assassin must have been at a much higher level than the Bard, the bard just had enough time to put his bagpipes down before we killed his ass, but the Assassin seemingly only had eyes for me and scuffed me up pretty good before we took him down.

There's that noise again!!! You feel like another ghoul attack is about to undergo. Once again, the sprites mentally broadcast what is happening.

The scene in your mind shifts to a room on the second level.

mauboy1 and Simbo Klice are resting carefully on the floor, and you see both Autumn and KWhit's ghoulish forms enter the room. Suddenly, everything shifts!

mau and Simbo awaken, and the pair of undead players are upon them!!!

Mauboy is surprised and unable to use his bow.

Autumn and KWhit are smart undead, and they move in to concentrate on the Priest, Simbo Klice. If you can overwhelm the healer, you can take out the Ranger.

Weapons and claws are out! Battle begins!

KWhit strikes twice at Simbo. He hits twice for 5 damage - 10/18. Autumn attacks He misses twice, claws scraping off armor. mauboy's battle axe hews air, but that's all, as Kwhit easily dodges. Simbos' flail whirs and misses badly.

This time, the heroes win initiative. Mauboy misses, but Simbo clunks KWhit with his flail of 5 damage back. 15/20

Both KWhit and Autumn scratch Simbo once for 7 damage 3/18. There is no running from players.

Luckily for our adventurers, they won init. Had they lost, KWhit and Autumn may have finished off Simbo. He casts Cure M Wnds on himself. 18/18. mau still can't connect with his axe. KWhit manages to slash Simbo again for 4 damage. 14/18

The adventures win init. mauboy finally manages to hit KWhit for 6 damage with his axe - 9/20. KWhit scraps Simbo once and Autumn twice! The three connections carve out 11 hp from Simbo!

3/18

Who will win initiative!

Teh Adventurers roll a 7 on a d10. That's a good chance they will win. The ghouls roll a 9 and they get to attack first!!! KWhit rolls two 4s and misses widly! Can Autumn finish off Simbo this round? He rolls a 17 and a 6. That's just one hit. Will it do enough damage?

He rolls a four, and Simbo has died.

Both Autumn and Kwhit drain the life force from Simbo and both appear stronger.

mau wins init and hacks at Kwhit for 2 damage.

17/30 now. KWhit claws him one for 1 damage and Autumn misses.

mau misses, as does KWhit bu Autumn strikes once for 2 damage.

27/30

mau's axe cleaves into KWhit for another 7 damage! Can he kill both ghouls?! 20/30

Both ghouls tears him once for a total for 6 damage. 21/30

The ghouls win init this time. They all miss. mau strikes for another 3 damage.

17/30 - KWhit

KWhit and Autumn each strike for a total of 9 damage. 12/30

He eats Herbs

22/30

mau wins init back/ His axe sits into KWhit's back for 4 damage - 13/30. KWhit's claws meet him twice for 8 damge and Autumn misses.

14/30

mau keeps init. He misses badly. Autumn strikes him twice for 3 damage.

11/30

The ghouls win init. They hit four times!!! KWhit deals 6 damage and Autumn deals...9 more.

mauboy has fallen!!!

zombies are unintelligent undead. Ghouls are intelligent, capable, and stronger.

I hadn't thought they would form a party. Asssumed they just went off randomly. I guesssss the setup isss to have good party againssst bad party sssometime. I think the Danny/Hoopsss/Jackal party will be able to take them. Perhapsss the new Chief/Ragone/ntndeacon will too. I think they'd have a good time of it. I have much faith in particular in ntn'ssss abilitiessss in dissspatching evil.

My two cents is we should keep going as we have. With all due respect to Mau and Simbo, I think we would put up a much tougher fight if they came at us.

Surprise isn't too big a deal though. They don't appear to have any special attacks, so it'd just be a few hps they could shave off at the fight's start. PB and I have gotten some good mileage out of having the same night schedule to this point.

Well, watching that battle log I'm not concerned with Autumn/KWhit right now. That said a group of 4 would be a tough win for anyone.

I will roll under the assumption that those two came back b/c they are evil and that none of the others have come back.

Any interesting results yesterday? I was unable to open my small box. It is locked. Did anything come up in a search of the room? Or were we able to unlock the metal chest in this room?

ntndeacon, I think I will need to give you the small box and have you use the Wand of Lock Picking on it to open it.

I don't know if I'd agree with that. I've been thinking perhapsss there isss a delay when they are turned into these horrific creaturesss and they can move again. I've alsssso wondered if they are changed only into whatever killed them or if it wasss based on their level at death.

In any casse I pray for the soulssss of mauboy and Simbo and I vow to ssset their soulssss free from thisss unholy torment.

If so, it's a short delay as KWhit killed Autumn a day after he died. I'm pretty sure we waited this long for another ghoul attack because they have to move in the Dungeon according to some set guidelines, possibly they move during both movement phase and evening actions (or they move twice during the evening, might be more logical). That's why KWhit was able to kill Autumn quickly (they were close to each other) and why it took KWhit/Autumn a while to amble over to where Mau/Simbo were, and would probably take them a while to get to anyone else based on who Mau/Simbo were close to.

Ntn, I could be interested in the scrolls depending on what they are. I have a scroll of item teleportation so if nothing else, I can ID them for you free of charge and if they're useful for me, work out a price or if no one wants them, at least I can sell them to the djinn for you and give you the gold from the sale.

Let me know if that's agreeable. If so, make the black market post for me and I'll use my scroll to complete the deal.
