Kwhit if you are near some clerics they might be able to heal you...I know I am able, but the only person I am near is another Cleric, (who thinks I am some silly human artificer)

Qwik...did you say earlier that you are in the cave tick room? I think that is two away from me -- the whipsting room is between us. What are your thoughts on teaming up? If we meet in the whipsting room, we both will get one to fight and, if successful, we each get a +1 whip. That would get me close to level 3, but leave me a smidge short, I think. Is there a door to the darker bricks in the cave tick room?

No, I asked him if he knew how to get the ring off and he said that he certainly did, which, of course, means that he does not. I suspect it will take the same magic that PB needs to dehumanize and de-pink himself. Maybe a dispel magic or a scroll of remove curse. At least his curse is relatively manageable once you know what it is, and I think we do. |

Ches, I would consider it, let me see what the ring brings...there is a darker brick section. I only have 9 HPs though, I almost died to the ticks...even with armor, I may be a little underpowered.

BTW, CR said he was in a room with me. My PM indicated no such thing. I am in the fortune teller room again. FYI, my asking her to tell my fortune a second time resulted in a very mild attack from a guzak.

Some of the cave ticks missed, so yes, I did survive....my first encounter was a goblin shaman or something like that, I hit it with a magic missle, it just smiled, healed itself and began to thwack me...so I ran away. At least with the cave ticks, I survived and leveled up and now I have armor. Robes don't do much for combat.

The ticks respawn, necause others have fought them. I don't know if they will do so if you do not move out of the room. You may want to try and trade for a bundle of herbs. If we did team up, my thinking would be to meet in the whipsting room, get the whips and sell them to buy more herbs. Go back to the tick room, and hopefully the experience from successful combat would put us both past level 3 and we would have a chance of surviving in the higher level rooms. If you want to team up, I will go to the whipsting room. If not, I am moving in the other direction. |

My only worry is lost time. Getting some herbs now would allow us to keep moving forward. It is possible for us to meet elsewhere. According to my map, if you take the exit opposite the level 2 exit, you will get to Mustang's starting room, which should be a safe haven. The whipsting room, btw, is to the right of the level 2 exit, I believe. |

Ches,
I found slime which became herbs in the cave tick room , along with a trap and a unknown ring. I ate the herbs so I think I'm at full health. If I get a decent ring option, then I'll have an answer for you before the move phase.

OK. FWIW, I took out 2 whipstings at level 1, albeit with one wounded. At full health with magic missile, I think you'll be fine. The armor spell helps a lot.
Mustang lost to a single whipsting, but he must have rolled like absolute crap or have come in far down in health. |

You can't get the ring back before movement, anyway.

I've fought the whipsting twice. The first time it did 2 damage to me, the second time it did 5 damage to me before I was able to kill it. Both times I had already used all my offensive spells for the day so it was all melee for me. |

Actually, no it doesn't, unless you came from the whipsting room. From the direction I imagined you coming, I would have thought that right would take you to the darker bricks. I double checked, as I have a left/right deficiency. That is most definitely not correct if you are in the room I thought you were. Either you have it backwards or I am wrong about us being in close proximity to each other. |
