Nate Silver's projections now show Louisville as 30.8% likelihood to win, followed by Florida (16.2%) and Indiana (14.4) and no one else has greater than 6%.

Would be curious what Kansas and Duke fans think about those numbers.

I think Gottlieb spent 5 minutes railing on it in one of his games and so did the announcer today.

As somebody (Kenny Smith maybe?) explained yesterday: you don't get to use your elbows.

It really seems pretty simple to me.

Considering how erratic we've been this season, I'm not really sold that KU could "easily" win the title. If you promised me a loss in the Final Four by Kansas right now (i.e. a guaranteed 3-1 record), I'd probably take it.

That said, it will flip to close to 10% if Duke and Kansas win tomorrow. Kansas and Duke each have games tomorrow that they're only in the 70s to win and that's hurting the percentage a lot.

Ya, it's tough to see it called in spots like that, but the whole point of the rule is that accidental elbow contact is not OK, so people are discouraged from swinging them around in the first place. Occasionally, a guy who wasn't being reckless is going to be called, but I think that's pretty rare, and probably a necessary evil unless you want refs trying to to draw a line somewhere.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the rule but some of the announcers seem to

I am okay with the elbow rule. But they need to call the foul when the guy is leaning on the player as well. Thats when the elbow swinging occurs. When a player is trying to get some space.
Basketball has changed to a full contact sport. If they called the game closer and eliminated contact, it would be a much better game.

Butler is getting turned over like crazy in second half ... not used to seeing that from these guys in March.

Or scores heading for 75-80 for finals.

Or other team dictating pace to Butler.

So Twitter is abuzz with Ben Howland being fired, which isn't a surprise. The fact that Mark Gottfried is apparently a legitimate candidate to replace him though is a surprise.

MAYBE a slight push in the back but pretty ridiculous considering all the contact that was happening on that whole possession.

I was thinking about this the other day. There has been a lot of talk about scoring being down and there is something to be said with players longer and more athletic but not as skilled. You can combat some of that by calling the game tighter which makes the floor feel a bit wider if you can't get as close up on other players.

Silly and unrelated: why is Wichita State "WKH" on the scoreboard? Why not WSU? WCH? WCST?

I cannot believe this shit. Butler down 4 with 5 seconds to go and an incredible pass and catch and shoot to score 2 points in two seconds. A turnover by Marquette and still 2.5 seconds left. WTF! This is INSANNNNE!

Gottlieb is really annoying but I like how he says things sometimes that make you go "wait, no announcer in their right mind would say that because they'd get in trouble"
