Whereas I probably wouldn't have survived my 'tween years without the existence of mayo sandwiches.

Amen to both!

I can’t stand ranch or mayo. Blech.

My dog is usually fussy about laying on a cushion or a blanket, but then he will just randomly lay on the hard floor right next to his poof bed sometimes. Weird little creatures.

One of our cats does that. Within the past hour I was remarking that instead of being in one of the cushy beds, he was on a “mouse in a pouch” bag with his head resting on a trackball tower. (One of our other cats has since decided he wants the bag/matt.

One of the best things about having a cat is watching what they do and thinking
"why would you..."?

In 2027, the Super Bowl is going to be on Valentine's Day. The NFL demographic is more dual-gender than it used to be, but I imagine it's still going to be a cluster.

Silly me. Here I am thinking the major issue was going to come when these kids began trying to date, get married etc. What a mess.

I'm glad Dick Van Dyke actually made it to 100. I still remember everyone making a huge deal about Betty White and then she died a couple of weeks before.

Completely coincidental to the Rob Reiner news, on Saturday I learned that my wife has never seen When Harry Met Sally. That movie came out a year before we met and almost 2 years to the day we started dating. I'm still processing this information and still don't believe it.

I'm trying block that fight out. Hands down the worst heavyweight fight I've ever watched. Probably the worst fight I've ever watched. Paul's entire plan was to run around a huge ring and any time Joshua got close he'd grapple or fall down and grab his legs. When I say that was his entire plan, I really mean it. That didn't happen 2-3 times, but 2-3 times per round until Paul had gassed himself and Joshua could actually start fighting. Even the ringside team was complaining about Paul's bullshit. The punch that broke his jaw put him on the canvass and he was awake and alert but wanted no part of standing up.

The fight stats were basically: Paul falling down 25 times, 4 knockdowns, a jaw broken in 2 places, and regret for everyone watching.

Paul needs to go back to boxing 60 year olds and MMA fighters because he showed he has no business in the ring with an actual championship level boxer.

Interesting take. I watched the fight and my thought was this dude is going to somehow get an exemption to fight at 120lbs and become their champion.

To be fair after he ran the entire first round he did land some good shots but they did absolutely nothing and he realized he was completely fucked and started shooting takedowns. He looked terrified in the corner before Joshua broke his jaw. If he wasn’t such a douche I would have almost felt sorry for him at that point.

That wasn't even the best beat down of an asshole this weekend. Andrew Tate fought some influencer boxer and got rocked. They said he looked completely gassed after the first round. The reviewers saud the influencer fighting in pink gloves looked completely untalented, yet stomped Tates' ass into the ground.

No one should stand in doorways. They also shouldn't take one step in the door and then just stand in front of the door so no one can get around them. Drives me nuts.

I don't understand why Illinois bans certain personalized license plates because they're too offensive for the public to see, then decides to publish a list of them.

We have a plaza in town anchored by a Whole Foods. There is also a liquor store, Jersey Mikes, and a few other places. I had to go to the liquor store as we are hosting 40 people for Xmas. Holy shit the parking lot was the biggest shit show I have ever seen.

So, if you are having a little sexy time to give your wife a pleasure before having to work a half day, my advice is to not in the middle of dirty talk say "Santa is watching you." Uncontrolled laughter really kills the mood. Or so I have heard.

My 7 year old now owns a possibly $2200 football card. I say possibly because that would assume it gets a 10 at grading which while it looks perfect who the heck knows. It’s worth $425 as it came out of the pack without a grade. My 9 year old is pissed.

Found myself in the middle of a high speed chase tonight. We were just north of Waverly, OH on 23 when a car came sceaming by honking and weaving through the traffic. Next cam four or five cops also speeding through traffic. When we got to Waverly a minute or two later there was a crash with one car crumpled and one completely in flames.

Not much available info that I can find, but I can't imagine anyone in the two cars survived.

Saw a story today. The first car was being pursued by the Chillicothe PD for shoplifting. Waverly is about 16 miles from Chillicothe, so the pursuit had been going on for a while. The first car hit another car at an intersection in Waverly. The drivers of both cars are dead and the passenger of the second car is injured.

Some jurisdictions are completely bonkers when it comes to calling and not calling off pursuits. Shoplifting, you say.....

Shoplifting hasn't been confirmed by the police, but all the locals seem to have heard that. The cops aren't saying anything yet, so I tend to think it isn't anything more serious. It makes sense if it was Chillicothe PD doing the pursuit.

When the car went past it almost side swiped us and then had to swerve into the oppsite lanes to miss rear ending another car. The copsweren't as reckless, but we did almost get hit by one doing a u-turn to join in the chase.

The high speed chase itself is reckless. Especially for shoplifting. They have to know they are putting the public at risk.

I'm still pinning this one on the shoplifter. We need much more severe penalties for those who start high speed chases that endangers all innocent traffic on the road.

Hopefully this doesn't last too long. I always enjoy seeing the Toledo Walleye play at least once a year.

I'm all for stiffer penalties but no one should end up dead for shoplifting, and certainly not innocent bystanders. They have the plate and likely some kind of video footage. While I know that isn't foolproof as the car could be stolen, etc...but they should go off of that to make an arrest at another time rather than turn them into a 6,000 pound missile.

When people talk about police reform this is some of the stuff they are talking about. A high speed chase resulting in multiple fatalities over shoplifting? I was watching On Patrol Live last night for a few and the cop let a guy go twice because his department doesn’t allow police pursuit over traffic violations and minor crimes. He caught the guy like 15 minutes after the 2nd aborted pursuit just by going to the address associated with the license plate. It doesn’t exactly take a detective to do that kind of police work.

Yeah, I don't think cops need to chase unless there's an imminent threat to civilians. If they have the car info they can find it and either arrest the suspect or confiscate the vehicle. There's no reason for a fifteen minute chase that threatened many drivers and ended in a fiery explosion.
