The WRs aren't helping things but Brady is off. He's missing a bunch of throws. I've watched every snap.

Two parts of being open. First is getting open while the 2nd is getting open in spots where Brady is expecting it and in time for him to not be flat on his back by the time the WR is open.

EDIT

Brady did grade out poorly on Sunday(-6.6). Thompkins (-1.0) and Edelman (-1.6). The others WRs all graded above average.

It's not "sudden", he's been getting more and more off with his throws over the last couple of seasons.

I agree he is very off. But I dont think the problem will solve itself. They need to get WRs that the HOF QB trusts so he can get back to himself.

Brady is used to a slot guy that ran precise routes or WRs that would go make plays.

These guys just arent making any plays and obviously it is getting in Bradys head. He should take more of a leadership role and try and help them out and give them confidence but I guess that is not his nature.

Sort of I guess.

He went from #1 in 2010, to #3 in 2011, to #6 in 2012. Now this year he is sitting at #22 in PFF rating.

He didn't become this big stat/deep throw threat until the last 4 or 5 seasons. His QB rating in each of his last 5 seasons are all better than any of his first 6. Before '07, he was the QB that led a winning team, but you didn't want him as your starting fantasy QB.

I'm thus far pro Emery/Trestman. Though Emery deserves some smacks for the McClellin draft pick, UNLESS the Bears go 3-4 next year (which, given the above mass rebuilding of the defense, is a possibility). McClellin is clearly not a 4-3 defensive end.

I do agree, the best move is tagging Cutler next year. From what I understand, it's a good QB class this year, so there's a chance the Bears can get a potential future QB there - though then we get the fun of at least 1 full season of annoying fans and media manufacturing a QB controversy.

Emery has been pretty terrible in drafting so far. His free agent pickups seem to be a wash. And his coaching staff looks bad. Not sure why anyone is high on him at this point.

It's amazing how if Welker catches a few balls he dropped and/or Seymour brings Eli down then all of a sudden high powered offenses no longer need defenses.

Long and Mills are two of the best rookies out of this draft class and Jeffrey has been a top 15-20 receiver this year. Bostic probably should have been starting week one and Greene/Wilson look like they could be valuable players.

His first draft, which he didn't get a full offseason to prepare for, wasn't very good. This past draft looks outstanding thus far. It's a big stretch to call that terrible drafting.

The only problem I have with the coaching staff thus far is Mel Tucker. Trying to keep Lovie's defense and blend it with Mel Tucker's playcalling has been a disaster.

In reality I think it was good coaching to be on the alert for that and warn the refs so they could call it.

I am not sure why this is even a story. As you said "like every other team."

Okay maybe not.

Well maybe so? He's working out for the Rams along with Brady Quinn, who just got cut by the Jets, so maybe my man Tyler will be back in the NFL after all.

Oh and for Cuervo-they did discuss Tebow, but not very seriously.

Giants manage to hold the ball around 13 minutes that quarter and find themselves down. Kind of a conservative gameplan against a horrible secondary.

I didn't see the play, only that last replay before commercial. Please tell me that wasn't what you were referring to as that was clean.

Really, kickoff, commercial, one play, commercial. They couldn't have skipped that first commercial break?

Well the Giants first drive took up 2/3 of the quarter on the first drive so they didnt get their normal commercial breaks. Blame it on their dink and dump gameplan

Have to make up for no commercials during a nine as a half minute opening drive.

ah, just turned it on so that was all I saw so far. Now an injury commercial break. Maybe if I turn it off the game will get moving again.

The NFL really needs to stop showing these shit fests in its feature games. There are a number of mid-level games they could have flexed in. I don't understand why they don't flex for MNF as well as SNF and do it the whole year. The Vikings are featured again next week on SNF! At least we have Thursday night football to look forward to. Carolina-TB, should be a barn burner.

Much harder to flex into Monday Night games. Changing game times is one thing, but game dates is a much bigger problem.

Thursday night games seem to be shitfests no matter who is playing in them. I enjoy when Thursday night games are between two inconsequential teams so I don't feel any need to watch at all.

I heard Carl Banks say on the radio, "Justin Tuck literally got beheaded on that play." Maybe football is too violent to continue.
