So, it looks like tonight's game is meaningless for the teams fighting for play-off berths or seeding.

By my count, Syracuse will keep the #1 seed by a slim point total margin over Penn State, despite the Orange's loss to Georgia this week.

Miami will get the #3 seed over Tennessee by the total points tie-breaker.

Virginia should be the #5 seed and Georgia will be the #6 seed.

Next week should be Virginia vs. Tennessee and Georgia vs. Miami.

I think with Larry Johnson coming on the way he has I have a pretty damn good shot at taking this thing...

If only my skill position players played like this every week!

Multiple-TD games for Chris Chambers, Lee Evans and Michael Bennett made up for the shocking lack of production from Brooks Bollinger and Ron Dayne.

It looks like I misread the Virginia-Auburn score--and Virginia lost and is out. USC sneaks into the play-offs.

Our first round match-ups: (5) Georgia vs. (4) Tennessee, winner to play (1) Syracuse
(6) USC vs. (3) Miami, winner to play (2) Penn State

Aaron Brooks minus 4 points did us in against Auburn

I'm afraid that the benching of Kerry Collins has doomed our team...

Woohoo! Thank you for sucking so bad, Tuiasosopo! Looks like Collins is going to start this week after all!

Haha... all of a sudden, once out of the playoff hunt Wisconsin has turned into one of the dominant teams in the league. Chris Chambers is killing teams, Michael Bennett is finally getting some TD's, Brooks Bollinger and Ron Dayne are playing significant roles.

47.5 points last week would have beaten any playoff team except Syracuse last week.

That would really suck for anyone who went to my alma mater (Cornell, home of the other, other, other "Big Red".)

Down goes Syracuse! Down goes Syracuse!

Looks like its going to be my Nittany Lions versus Tennessee in the championship. Should be a great match-up as long as Kerry Collins stays in the starting line-up. He may not score a ton of points for us but those points he does score are crutial...

Indeed... not unexpected, but disappointing nonetheless. If only I had done a better job as manager, things might have been different. *sigh*

Best of luck to the remaining twosome.

I don't know. If Manning gets a rest over the next two weeks, it may not be much of a contest.

My first Yahoo league championship...I think I'm going to cry!

Peyton couldn't have picked a better time to have a crappy game. MVP trophy goes to Larry Johnson with a special mention to mid-season pick-up Robbie Gould, kicker for the Bears. He picked up some of Kerry Collins' slack in the second half of the season.

Fun league, everyone. I hope we do it again next year!

Well, Peyton only played one quarter, so it could have been a better game, I guess.

I had looked at the score after the Saturday games and Penn State was leading 27-20. I knew I had Jamal Lewis left, but didn't notice that you had Gould left. So, I was thinking that like the 2000 Titans, my title hopes had been left at the one yard line when Lewis didn't get into the end zone late in that game. Of course, with Gould's points, that TD wouldn't have helped me.

So, fun idea.

I haven't thought it through much (and have no clue about kickers) but what schools would be strong if we did this today?

Georgia? (Stafford, Gurley, AJ Green, et al)
Cal? (Rodgers, Lynch, DJackson, et al)
Michigan? (Brady and whatever)
Clemson? (with DWatson joining great WR corps)
Standard powerhouses like Bama, tOSU, Miami even without QBs?

Interesting. I never saw this before.

Iowa would be great if Olinemen and TEs scored lots of points

EDIT: I thought the original premise was you had to choose the school you went too. I liked that concept.

Florida State?

Winston-Manuel
Freeman-Cook (strating in Minn now?)
Kelvin Benjamin-Boldin
O'Leary?
Janikowski-Aquayo (or whatever his name is for TB)
I'm sure there have to be some defensive players.

LSU gets you OBJ and Fornette, but no QB

Wisconsin gets you Russel Wilson and Melvin Gordon

Stanford gets you Luck and McCaffery

Looking at the top RBs for fantasy next year, it is interesting how few of them went to schools that also produced a great QB currently playing.

Oklahoma with Bradford, AD, Westbrook, Murray, Mixon and probably a bunch of TEs.

Stills, Shepard and DGB(does he count?) at WR also. Gresham would probably be the TE.

tOSU - Zeke Elliot, Carlos Hyde, maybe Boom Herron, Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn, Devin Smith, Braxton Miller, Philly Brown, Terrelle Pryor, Curtis Samuel, Jalin Marshall, Jeff Heuerman, Nick Vannett, I don't know if Mike Nugent is still kicking anywhere. We're just missing a decent QB.
