Reading between the lines in the espn report, the offer was from the OC and isn’t being denied. Or at least the OC “declined to comment” which is pretty much the same thing.

The HC said it wasn’t valid as it wasn’t from him and the collective isn’t lying because it didn’t come from them either.

Dumb of the kid/agent not to get it in writing - sure. But equally 100k is pretty small potatoes when it comes to a starting QB. I’m with Pass, I’m not sure this reflects very well on the school.

So they are saying the OC made a recruiting violation by promising NIL money? Coaches are only allowed to help raise funds for NIL collective, but it is a direct violation for them to negotiate payouts. Unless the promise came from the collective, it is not a promise.

Hokies up 21-14 over Miami with 2 min left in 1H.

Rooting for the Hokies to shake things up some

Ward careless with the ball tonight. Two turnovers led to 14 VT points. Also, VT has been able to run at will against the Canes D.

I genuinely don't know what to think of that last play.

I'm obv biased as a Miami fan but...

The most correct thing would've been to call it incomplete initially.

I can see the argument that there wasn't enough to overturn it, although I think the replays do show it moving as they hit the ground.

In the end, I think we eventually got the right outcome, but it's incredibly unfair to VT for it to happen that way.

Looking forward to Hogs (3-1) vs Aggies.

QB Taylen Green passing in past 2 games have regressed and Petrino needs to fix this as we are going into a brutal stretch. We may lose this game but looking for Green to get better in passing.

Win this and our odds of going to a bowl game increases considerably.

Kentucky-Ole Miss is turning out to be a great game. 20-17 Kentucky with 2:25 left.

UK's front is for real. It just makes you wonder WTF happened when they played South Carolina.

It's crazy that they were able to easily replace a guy that was completing less than 45% of his passes and averaging about a 100 yards passing per game.

Not sure what planet Sluka is living on that he thought he could hold a program that pulls in $6 mil in conference payouts per year hostage for more money.

Hogs up 17-14. It was a tough series ending in a FG in early 4Q

Defense is doing well.

Iy's funny how people talk about college football being dead, while I am trying to juggle three to four games every Saturday all day. I could care less about transfers and NIL's. Saturday football is still the most fun football.

I thought Week 1 was a bore but every week since has had a great slate of games.

And on cue Oklahoma with a massive pick 6.

A perfect ending for Freeze. I have no hate towards Auburn, but that guy should never win again.

Oh well.

Too many penalties for the Hogs

I’m glad to see Green throw better but there were some times when I just wish he would run it.

Say what you want about conference expansion but this has been a great day for the SEC and we still have Bama-Georgia to go.

You see, that ain't it. I would be watching these games if Georgia was in the dog house. As a matter of fact, the way the Georgia game raises my blood pressure is the biggest detractor on a Saturday.

I still keep track, probably out of habit + water cooler fodder ... but I just don't have much emotion about it anymore.

Quinn Ewers was a Heisman hopeful going into the season, and now you have to start to wonder if he is going to get his job back.

Stanford keeps moving the ball and then their QB keeps throwing terrible interceptions.

Don’t worry, it’ll finish within 7 if not closer. Can’t have too much damage done to UGA’s poll position after all.

BS. I have never seen a Kirby Smart team this ill prepared. Maybe this will be a wake up call for the rest of the season, but at this point Bama is scoring 50 tonight.

The fact that Clemson has power but literally nowhere else in upstate SC does is definitely an interesting choice.

I think we should consider retroactively giving Jordan Travis last year's heisman.

So anyway, as I was saying — contests between highly ranked SEC opponents will never end as blowouts.
