Gotta hand to to Thibs. His teams show up.

Though I fully expect the Heat to now wake up, realize they need to play, and obliterate them next game.

I think Tibs deserves some credit, but man, those players - Noah in particular. He absolutely refuses to lose. He reminds a lot of a slightly less talented Kevin Garnett (which is no way an insult), but the WILL is just amazing.

How ironic would it be if the Bulls go all the way and win it without Rose?

Btw, the guy who isn't getting a lot of credit is Jimmy Butler- he played 48 minutes (ie, the entire game) for the 3rd game in a row, while guarding LeBron! That's effing amazing.

One of the Grantland writers was paying attention before tonight's game.

Spurs with a massive comeback to cut it to 3... Warriors have stopped running any offense.

This is definitely proof that the hack-a-whoever strategy can work. Warriors afraid to put Bogut in the game, but definitely have needed him the past 4-5 minutes.

Manu big in the clutch, but should have been 2 FTs for Curry on that 2nd last inbound... Leonard literally had his arms around his waist. Two great games today.

They left him so damn open it wasn't funny. Young team. They'll learn from it or they'll be destroyed the rest of the way out. But they sure let one get away tonight.

The Warriors are ostensibly playing with house money at this point, and have an extremely young team with a bright future.

That being said, it feels like they lost the whole series in one game tonight. The same mistakes they could overcome against Denver will kill them against a better team like San Antonio.

Has anyone yet figured out why Mark Jackson didn´t think to give Curry some rest up double digits ?

Unreal performance by Curry in the 3rd quarter, just "pretty good" the rest of the game. Lofty standards, but don´t see the Warriors having a shot unless Curry plays even better than last night (for the whole game). Not having a single Center who can hit his FTs was a clear problem for the Warriors.

Still think the rules are absolutely stupid, but it´s what it is ...

Also, at the end of regulation Curry had guys wide open ... Regardless, watching Curry when he´s on is my most favourite thing in sports. Has been since his Davidson days.

Leonard on Curry in the 4th was key IMO, Spurs will probably do that the rest of the series.

Curry (when he's not exhausted) should be able to run circles around Leonard. The Spurs do a great job of protecting the middle, but if Curry can be the distributor, the Warriors' offense should be able to keep being a factor.

big win for the Grizzlies in OKC. Perkins in the last 5 games is a -57. He´s lucky that Gasol has such a host of responsibilities on both ends, otherwise he´d take a shit all over him in that matchup (i mean, he´s still significantly outplaying him but has to facilitate and guard everybody else as well)

Ibakaa big disapointment as well.

Durant is literally doing it all (in 6 games without Westbrook: 35.5/10.5/6 shooting over 50%) but the talent level in support might not be enough to get by the Grizzlies.

Omer Asik abused Perkins and Omer doesn't have an offensive game outside of 3 feet.

Yeah, but that third foot gives him a tremendous advantage.

Shaq is so bad on TNT.

Barkley was like "Gasol, as great a defender he is, is also a great distrubutor and-"

And Shaq cuts him off with, "Don't tell me he's a good defender. Perkins hasn't done anything this series."

Barkley responds, "Well, yes, but he won Defensive Player of the Year so obviously he's talented on that end."

Shaq: "Pffftt"

Not sure why it would be doubtful. I didn't really think Karl was going out too far on the ledge here, considering two of the next three are at Golden State. It's not unlikely the Spurs could lose both of those games.

This deserves more love.

Should be an interesting game in San Antonio tonight. I'm of the opinion that the Warriors played at about 10/10 in game one, while San Antonio was about a 7/10. The Warriors have also been playing a bit over their heads lately - they were the 6 seed going in for a reason. I'm actually starting to believe my own crazy theory that the Warriors are a better team without David Lee and his complete lack of defense, but I still think they've been playing about as great basketball as they are capable of in the last 7 games (two 4th quarter meltdowns notwithstanding).

One game is hardly enough evidence to be certain either way, but tonight should go a long way toward proving whether or not the Warriors should have any hope at all in this series. If San Antonio comes out blazing and puts the Warriors away easily, I expect the Warriors to be done in 4 or 5 games. If the Warriors can keep it close or even pull it out tonight, then I think it's the Warriors' series to lose.

I think to beat the Spurs you've got to have at least 2 guys who can take over a game. The Spurs for years have let one guy go off while clamping down on everyone else.

Well, Klay Thompson with 29 points and 7 3's in the first half... does that qualify? (Let's see now if they can close the game out.)

We should mention that Miami completely owned Chicago on both ends of the floor tonight...

But... am I the only one that might be most intrigued about a Memphis/GS WCF?

Yeah, LeBron came out with that "F*ck all ya'll" swagger tonight, and it was game over after that. No one can stop him when he is in that mindset, it's just a shame that it seems to generally take something like a loss to bring it out.

Probably. I think I'd rather see OKC at this point, as a Warriors fan. That being said there's a LONG way to go before the Warriors can start worrying about that.

Knicks looked decent last night, moving the ball well for a change.
Jason Kidd has hit 3 shots and 2 FTs theese playoffs and 0 of both in the last 6 games. That´s 3 made FGs and 11 Points in roughly 200 minutes of play. All of this has got to be some kind of record.

Honestly at this point, I fully expected Vince McMa.. I mean David Stern to say the rest of the Bulls-Heat series will be held within the confines of a FIFTEEN FOOT HIGH STEEL CAGE
