There are night kills so the doctor should not reveal right now. When people become infected they perform night kills.

Never mind, the infected get a kill, so there goes that idea.

Also just noticed the deadline is 9 PM and not 10, so I better go ahead and cast a vote in case I am not around later to assess things.

Completely random shot in the dark here, nothing personal. Just a random.org number, 1-20.

Yes this doesn't change the nature of people getting Infected, but it does make the Mummy lynchable.

Still wrapping my head around the rules here, trying to get a gauge for all the roled players and what they can and can't do.. I dig the complexity but its gonna take a bit for everything to sink in and feel natural. I feel like a kid checking the back of the Math book for answers over and over.

Yeah, they can be night killed. Same with professors. So if they'd be safe tonight but then their days would be numbered.

It's the infected who commit the night kills. They all submit a name and then the name of the lucky winner of the night kill lottery is pulled out of a hat and they get offed.

Hey all, just checking in for the start of the day. With only 4 evil starters out of 20 (and no night kills tonight?) I'd almost say no-lynch, but since every vanilla has a chance to turn evil as well I think a lynch is the better way to go.

No, that doesn't matter. Unless the Mummy signals away to all the infected the infected don't really do that much harm to us. It's unlikely they'll be any wiser than we are. They'll try to vote for people they believe are villagers but I know from experience that it's a tough call for an evil character who's flying blind. Of course it would be nice if there weren't any as there'd be no night kills but the main aim is to lynch the transformed. The infected don't count towards parity so the earliest the game can finish is when there's 6 players left.

I see my train song offended someone.

Anyhow. Day one. Nothing to add. Bla bla bla.

Is that better?

I should attach my softball schedule so that everyone knows I'm out at deadline...but it shouldn't be too big a deal on n1. I should be around some between now and then anyway.

Some very good points, also that'll mean there won't be too much influence from scum on the lynches as they're not a collective group that can communicate outside the thread. I read the rules before I signed up but I think I'll go back through and make sure I know what exactly is going on.

Reading back though, they're the ones pulling off the night kills. They also have the ability to weaken the Mummy, so that mitigates things.

I love day one, it allows Danny to be Danny and Crimson to be Crimson but in terms of talking points there seems to not be much unless we want to discuss the rules some more.

I think it might be worth talking about what people think the transformed strategy will be but I am not sure if it will help them or the doctors and nurses more in doing so.

I haven't really heard of any exciting games coming down the pike though. I think all the hyped up ones came out already. That leaves some rare UTR gems to find.

Curious question for Autumn:

When an Infected is elevated to Transformed, does the Infected gain PM ability with the other Transformed? And if both Transformed are former Infecteds, do they also get the PM ability?

I assumed not but wondered that as well. I assume not because I assumed that the new Transfromed would also potentially be replaced by yet another infected and then that infected could be cured and then would know who the transformed are. But that's like 3 degrees of kevin bacon there.

Transformed that are downgraded to Infected can't be cured, which is how Autumn got around that potential problem.

But what about Infected that are elevated to Transformed and then "demoted" to Infected again? Can they be cured?

ah. I thought that was just the original transformed. But that's possible too. But it also made me think there wasn't PM ability changes.
