Since its a 50/50 shot, and neither team are in my division, its worth the sanction vote.

I'm going to once again schedule a non-human team for today.

Vote Mr.Wednesday

Schedule Team 33

I'm not going to have access after tomorrow morning until after the deadline so I'm going to vote now to make sure I don't forgot before I leave tomorrow. If I read the rules correctly, there is nothing wrong if a wolf wins his conference. We just can't have a wolf get an at-large bid. Conference two is the only other conference besides mine with multiple people with a lot of points and since I know I'm good and hopefully can get second in my conference and thus the at-large bid

Vote Mr. Wednesday

By the way, can I schedule a conditional game in case claphamsa doesn't accept my challenge?

By the way, a member from each conference really needs to report what their scout found out with their scan (assuming their scout actually scouted). So far the only person I've seen report anything is Alan T. We really need to coordinate the scouts in my opinion.

I voted for him because two people in his conference have 100 points. I would have voted for Claphamsa (so the vote would be more even), but I didn't want to tick him because I want him to accept my challenge.

I voted for Mr. W because he is in my conference, thus a 1/3 chance of being a detractor, plus he has 100 points.

I may be wrong and if this has been brought up already I am sorry.

Is there any reason why the 4 seers shouldn't reveal then scan each other so we can find out who the evil seer is?

THat would seem like a logical plan and I honestly can't think of a good reason NOT to, but something about it makes me nervous...

Is there ANY way they can use that against us?

The evil seer shows up as a good team per the rules. So even if all of the scouts scanned each other, they would all show up as scouts. The best way to handle it probably is for each scout to try to find the wolf on the opposing side and then other scouts double check those scans to verify. Worst case in that case is the wolf scout outs his own team to remain hidden.. but that should be ok if all of the conferences want their scouts to tank anyways.

It looked like all of the other losers paired up to play game 2 against each other, except for us - it makes some sense because it guarantees 100 points between us.

So, I'll throw out a challenge, but if you don't want it, that's cool

I don't think the result of the vote tells us anything - it just deducts points.

I was just thinking that a wolf might try to prevent another wolf from losing points via their vote. Or at least try to subtly work discussion towards one or the other. Or at least be afraid enough of the conversation to stay out of it, letting us do whatever we want.

Just brainstorming. Still don't have much of a handle on anything. Hopefully I can dedicate the time tonight.

Good! I was worried that it might cause a lot of problems for people, but it's really the latest time that I can be sure to be at the computer to process everything. I don't expect this game to be very deadline-intense, so even if not many people are on at deadline, that shouldn't be an issue.

Before the polls are released, we have another mid-season coaching change! The carousel is really moving already, and we're not even halfway through the season. After his humiliating loss in the opening game, the board of directors have fired Alan T, and replaced him with newcomer path12. Alan T managed to land on his feet, however -- within hours, he had secured a position as the head coach at Notre Dame, replacing acting coach Passacaglia. Alan T was quoted as saying he's got some revolutionary ideas to bring the Irish to the top!
