Jax State ran the ball effectively down the field against GT but threw a pick down at the 3, still 17-0 GT Q2 just underway.

Nesbitt gets Tech out of the hole & out near midfield but fumbles it away.
A kind of scary thing really in spite of the 17-0 lead, moments of brilliance followed by several plays worth of WTF.

24-7 GT middle Q2. JSU drove down & scored fairly easily, Nesbitt hit D. Thomas for 55 yds to set up his own 12 yd scoring run.

Liberty's holding their own against WV...
I'm not sure if I should be disappointed in the Mountaineers, or proud of the Flames...

I'm leaning towards the former.

68 yd punt return for a TD puts GT in front 31-7 with a minute left in the half.
Backup QB already in & the rest of the RB's have more carries than Dwyer.
Passing still looks spotty (Nesbitt 3/6 for 87 yds), the defense has been soft against the run at times, and both QB's for Tech have lost a fumble so there's still plenty of work to do.

Meanwhile Hardesty adds a long TD and it's 35-0 Tennessee midway thru Q3.

Watching the Syracuse game, I gotta say Paulus has made a great case as one of the top College QBs in this years class (going into the draft, at least). He has the intangibles.

While I could say he shouldn't have played basketball, I have no problem with him doing it. He loves basketball, and wanted to be a head coach maybe. Going to Duke was a wise decision.
I have no problem with his decision, and see why Green Bay was looking at him too.

I wish him the best.

CB #15 for Minn., Simmons, has been very impressive.
A scrappy player. Doesn't seem athletic though. Haven't seen enough to pass too much judgement.

Mike Williams is messing up right now...
2 drops in a row (though one was good defense by Simmons) from 2 fantastic throws.

Get it together...

WKU moves the ball well on the running of Bobby Rainey & gets on the board, down 35-7 with 2:41 left in Q3.

edit to add: LOL at Albert Haynesworth on the UT sideline, after the obligatory chit chat they showed his boat as he took part in the Vol Navy for the first time today.

Payton Manning (not shown on the coverage so far) is also on hand today, as they dedicated the new locker room facilities in his name and announced that he's made a second $1 million facilities upgrade donation.

He's RHed though, so his progression wouldn't have gotten there quick enough.

He had a guy in the back of the end zone, but he got pushed down... I thought it would be interference, but I guess not.
