I always have a tough time installing these. Did you put Ottawa Fury FC into your league structure? They are currently in the NASL.

Just finished my 3rd season with Arsenal. It was beyond strange. The first two years were pretty mediocre with me adding an FA cup and finishing in the top 4 both years but getting crushed in the CL knockout stage. In year three, I spent some of my hard earned cash and brought in Sturridge from Liverpool for 75 million dollars. I changed my tactics from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-1-2-2-1 (1 DM, 2 wingers, 1 striker)

I started off horribly and was in 8th after 12 games. Then I went on an ever loving tear. I won something like 28 of 31 games in all competitions. (with one of the losses being in the League Cup QF) I ended up pulling a triple, winning the league by 12 points, the CL over Bayern (1-0) and the FA cup over Tottenham in the final. (also 1-0)

I finished first in the league in goals, 2nd in fewest conceded, last in yellow/red cards, 2nd in possession.

Sturridge went nuts with 34 goals overall. Ozil was the biggest surprise. Moving him back to CM with an attack duty, he went ballistic. He scored 15 goals with 14 assists and was second in the league in distance covered per 90 minutes (he was usually subbed around the 60 to 65 minute mark to keep him fresh)

I signed Thiago on an end of contract deal and lost a few players to start the offseason. I now have a transfer kitty of 275 million dollars to play with. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with it as my team is loaded. I guess I can use better LB/RB players. Let the fun begin.

Ok, so update: I'm doing final testing of 0.2, which may become the 1.0 release, because with my health issues, my time and ability to test this/make changes is very limited.

So, I'm putting this out there now.

What do you want to see in this release?

My question is who did you buy in your first window after taking over? I have some ideas, but I'm curious how you went about covering the squad deficiencies.

I'm pretty happy with it at this point. Player movement, particularly goalkeepers, seems much more natural now. Playing with Slough Town FC in the lowest level of England and we can't score worth a damn, but we're not fun to face either as my defense is tough and we tend to beat up our opponents.

If you haven't bought at this point though, I'd recommend holding out until Christmas, should be a sale right around then.

This is a "Fantasy America" mod that replaces the byzantine and complicated MLS contract setup with a more "standard", 3 league, 64 team system with promotion and relegation.

20 Team Premier League. All 18 surviving MLS teams, plus Orlando City and New York City FC (Debuting in 2015 in real life)
24 Team First Division (Includes a rebranded Chivas USA as LA Football Club)
20 Team Challenge Division

The Premier League has full prize money, the First Division has limited prize money, and "money as you play", and the Challenge Divsion is strictly results based.

Known Details:
A) Many Teams do not have managers.
B) A lot of teams do not have players (Workaround: Add players to clubs in pregame setup)

1.0 Fix List:
Many Lower Division teams updated from Amateur to Semi-Professional status, and received slight reputation bumps as a result
Money Slightly Balanced, more work will need to happen
Squad Size Limits are in effect

American Premier League: 30 Man Roster, Max 20 Foreign Players)
American First Division: 30 Man Roster, Max 15 Foreign Players
American Challenge Division: 25 Man Roster, Max 10 Foreign Players

Los Angeles FC Scheduled to get new stadium in 2017

Bugfixes (Most important: Cups have been assigned a permanent home to avoid being played at small facilities)

Note: This is entitled a 1.0 Release because it is functionally complete. Due to ongoing health issues, I'm not sure if I can work on this further, so I decided to get this out for everyone to enjoy

Romero - Was the rock of my squad in last years version.
Depay - I wanted someone who was natural on the left. Arsenal have a ton of options there, but it really isn't a prime position for anyone.
Joe Gomez - I play Chambers at CB mostly. I needed cover at all three spots.

I really didn't go nutso spending until year 3 when I went for Sturridge. I did try to buy Reus, but he turned me down.

Last year FM14 was 50% off at $24.99 for the Winter sale so I'd expect/hope for the same for 15.

OK, with this patch I'm now definitely buying over Christmas, seeing as I'll have some free time.

And given that I'm up for some business travel next year, definitely picking up FMH15 as well. Plus, there's the added benefit of keeping Marc fed & watered.

2nd game against lowly Frosinone (you might recall I whupped them 11-0 the frist time around this season.

I went more attacking, and it cost me 2 goals. But I put 8 past them (including a hat-trick inside the opening like 10 mins for Tevez).

Aggregate score for the 2 games: 19-2.

Poor Frosinone.

"Victorious Juventus celebrate historic quintuple!"

'Nuff said.

European Super Cup
Italian Super Cup
Club World Championship
Serie A
Champions League

Took a 91st minute equalizer in the CL Final by Alvaro Morata (an 85th minute sub), along with a 109th minute game-winner by the European Golden Boot Domenico Berardi (48 goals in 45 appearances) in order to make it happen though.

And that's back-to-back Champions League titles.

So I get to 2019/2020.

I haven't spent hardly anything in transfer money over the past few years. I'm given a budget of 350 million. I decide it is time to shake some things up. I want to move Depay to striker and get a world class speedy winger on the left. Send my scouts out and they come up with a regen named Eric Diallo.

He was groomed at PSG and is 21 years old. He is a natural at both AMR and AML. Here are his key attributes:

Acceleration - 20
Pace - 18
Balance - 15
Agility 19
Stamina - 17
Work Rate - 16
Vision - 14
Decisions - 16
Composure - 13
Anticipation - 15
Technique - 17
Passing - 17
Crossing - 18
Dribbling - 16
Finishing - 14
First Touch -17

The guy even marks and tackled at 12.

Oh, he's 21. Good lord he's good.

As for my own team, I have developed a poacher who sucks so bad at passing it is painful. He's a 3 there. But he has a hell of a shot. There was a game in my last season this guy got 4 assists. How? Well, he'd rocket one to the goalkeeper and someone would jump in and get the rebound home.

He scored 13 as a part time player and he'll be given the backup role behind Depay this year.

I am determined not to buy the new version this year until the game is half off and i win a PL title with Canvey Island

Longest game i´ve played in a couple versions now, currently in 2027. Earned promotion to the PL in 2023, now firmly established in the middle of the pack while still "only" having a 45 mio € payroll (and that´s stretched as far as i can without a new stadium and/or selling players.

Currently sitting 3rd in League One in Jan 2015 as Chesterfield. Loan signings have been massive for a club expected to finish 23rd.

Eoin Doyle and Chuba Akpom have already combined for 48 goals.

What's the most goals you have ever had for a single player for a season?

The striker I spoke about above just had a season for the ages for me. He cannot pass the ball. I can't stress this enough. His passing is a 5. Acceleration is a 20, pace 20, finishing 18, composure 18, off the ball 18. Poacher all the way.

Well, I play a passing system, so I put him on the second team. I plan to start him in the cup games, a lot of CL games and a few PL games the first half the season. That plan quickly changes and I'm trying to find any reason to use him over Depay because he's scoring non stop. 5 goals at Man City. 3 goals at home vs. Man United. Game wining goal against Tottenham.

I end up getting him in 26 games as a starter and another 12 as a sub. He scored 51 goals. Never had a guy go over 40 before.

In FM12 with a 4-4-2 I had Wayne Rooney score 112 goals.

51 goals is definitely impressive. I know in a previous version (11-12 I think) I cracked 50 with a player with a similar profile in my 1 striker system.

In my current game my best players top out at about 30-35 games given my heavy rotation so even though I have a guy who averages close to 1.4 a game would be hard pressed to beat that.

I actually have a similar player up front right now, although not quite as allergic to passing the ball (20 Acc, 18 speed, 18 finishing, 16 first touch, off the ball and dribling) Had 40 goals in all competition 2 seasons ago (but rarely played in cup matches).

In general my wingers are my main goalscorers in my system. My best one had 23 and 24 league goals in back-to-back seasons (and my offense was crazy good in both overall with 100+ league goals, unfortunately my defense was kinda like swiss cheese )

Also: Canvey Island, CL winners 2032 !! (and PL, too !!)

I am currently having an absolute outliner of a player, a young winger out of my youth academy who i initially dismissed as too one-dimensional.

He has: 15 dribling, 16 crossing, 18 Acc/17 Speed, which of course is all excellent. But only 10 passing, 11 first touch, 11 creativity, 12 technique and 9 finishing. Yet he is performing out of this world for me and has 32 goals and 20 assists in 55 games (of which about half are as a substitute) since he started getting first team action. While some has come against weaker oposition and also is likely due to the quality of players around him, many of his goals and assists were in league play and he freaking scored twice in the CL final against Barcelona.

The only explanation i have is his absurdly high flair attribute (19), which also connects with what i see on the pitch: Lobbing the GK, playing 1-2s, shooting from weird angles.

In recent versions (last couple years) I think I had my top season with Domenico Berardi this last season in FM15 where he had 48 in 46 appearances. I should have played him a couple more games I guess - he only started like 26 of 38 possible league games.

I've got a guy in my FM14 save who's scoring at roughly 2 goals/game at the moment (he's at 40 goals in all competitions in like December or January), but I haven't completed that season yet so I guess it doesn't count yet hmm?

Quick question: Does the 2015 version finally keep team stats for comparison? Like passing ratio, shots per game ? (not individual stats, but team stats)

I know it does on a game basis, not sure it keeps it on a season basis (though I remember seeing press conference question about your team having the best completion percentage in the league)

It does on a season basis, but I don't think there's an easy way to go back and look at past seasons to compare (for example I think I usually manually calculate my rough goals/game average by looking at the league table for past seasons).

Maybe I'm wrong and just haven't found it though.

I think it was there in '14.

I'll take a look on my lunch break and see if I can point you to it in '15 though - I can't recall exactly where it's parked...

Can only find the numbers kept for my team (on the "report" ledger) but nowhere to see how those numbers compared leaguewide. Only some very basic ones goals, conceded, cards. yeah ...).

Aaah - didn't realize you were talking about a leaguewide comparison. Don't think that's in there - nope.

You can see some of the physical/mental stuff (how you compare in height/wage/age/etc.) versus other teams in the league, but raw stats - I don't think so.
