WTF. Good idea, segment ran way too long, and Jimmy Fallon was terrible. Almost singlehandedly ruined the entire bit. He has no comedic timing or intuition whatsoever. Colbert would have rocked that segment properly.

Yeah, the idea was funny.. and Zack was pretty funny...

But if this clip did one thing it showed me that I was dead-on with what I thought Fallon would be.

He wasn't good on SNL.

He's not good in movies.

He's terrible as a talk-show host.

Just once...seriously, just once...I'd love to see him read off a cue card without laughing.

Judging from that clip, I'd love to see him read off a cue card without...looking like he's reading off of a cue card.

But this is the same thing he did on SNL. I mean, look at the freakin' more cowbell skit. He can't keep a straight face.

I have no idea how you would think this guy would be a good host.

I can cut him some slack for the cowbell thing, as a lot of people lose it during the best skits, especially if they don't see it coming...and even Weekend Update was a more relaxed sketch so I could let it slide.

But when your job is to read a cue card, and you can't get through the fuckin thing...kill yourself.

Sorry - not cutting him slack for SNL. He cracked in every skit I ever saw him do (granted, I'm not an avid SNL watcher).

Agree with this whole page. If Fallon hasn't improved on the "cracking himself up" stuff, I'm glad I'm not watching his show because it would just get on my nerves.

What stupid logic if that is her logic. If your career sucks, wouldn't some positive exposure be a good thing?

Mario Lopez is making an appearance at the mall in Lexington today. I need to finish up work so I can go wait in line!

You should set up beside him and see if a line starts forming in front of you.

If I had known he was coming a month or two ago, maybe I could have let my beard grow out and set up an autograph session at a restaurant, going for a "Mario Lopez if he went all Jaoquin Phoenix" vibe.

You can pretty much assume that anyone who cared about her specifically from the SBTB days is well aware that her career has been very limited since the show. At some point she should probably just embrace the fact that Kelly Kapowski is about all the career she has left and squeeze what she can out of it. Who knows, maybe this could even generate enough interest to land a supporting role somewhere.

I would welcome that with open arms. If asswhites Tori Spelling and Shannon Doherty could guest for a couple of episodes, Valerie Burtinelli or whatever her name was on 90210 can make a guest appearance too.

If the teacher pops a test,
I know I'm in a mess,
And my dog ate all my homework last night,
Ridin' low in my chair,
She won't know that I'm there,
If I can hand it in tomorrow it'll be alright,

It's alright 'cause I'm saved by the bell

Hey-

Thought I'd post here. If you're a SBTB super fan, I can't recommend the Go Bayside! Podcast enough. Each week the host and a comedian watch and break down a episode. Go bay side.tumblr.com
Also I've been watching a ton of SBTB on Netflix lately and the sheer amount of sexism really makes me wonder if this show was actually good for kids. The paternalism that gets exhibited whereby the male characters act like they own their girls is silly. And there's virtually no consequences.

Lifetime To Air "The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story"

It's not just a behind-the-music documentary kind of thing, mind you, no, it's a scripted movie with actors playing the saved by the bell actors.

Like...wow. I stopped paying attention after the first commercial break and just had it on as background noise.

It wasn't even the bad acting - it was more that the story wasn't interesting at all. Just Dustin Diamond whining about how he thought the show would make him cool and being butthurt it didn't and getting exploited by some asian dude who wanted to be on the show.

It was just boring. There was nothing really scandalous about it. Screech smoked some weed and drank. Big whoop, he's a teenager. The girls all came out looking innocent and Mark-Paul and Mario like normal teenage boys. Even the romantic relationships were incredibly boring.

I could deal with the bad acting and bad sets if they at least took an angle with the story. But it played out like a high school drama without any drama.

I saw a still on FB and Berkley looked pretty much the same.

(I've not bothered with the video yet. Still generally annoyed by Fallon, at least in sketches.)
