makes perfect sense to me, it'l like an inferior team going for 2 in OT if football. The longer the game goes on the less chance you have to win. |

I think Huggins really likes him, but he has had a quick hook with him and it seems like his confidence has taken a shot. I sure hope he sticks around. I think he can be a really productive player next season, swinging between the 2 and 3 and playing at the top of the zone (assuming we still use it). |

Faried is awesome. Great finish and gutsy no-call, but I thought it was a clean block.

and somewhere at ESPN, Mike Greenberg is on suicide watch. He went on ad nauseam today on Mike and Mike on making Louisville one of his final four picks but felt very unsure about it. Was making me root for Morehead State just to see his reaction lol.

itīs not that i disagree with the choice, but it still happens very rarely in one and done games as far as iīve seen it. And then to make it a kind-of off-balance pull up just added to it in that particular moment. happy for Faried, the guy had a really bad game offensively but never let up and played with great energy all game. My first loss in my bracket, but kudos to Newark, New Jersey's Kenneth Faried and Morehead State. Glad to see them advance.

Wow. I thought Louisville was capable of a deep run. They were one of the few Big East teams that I figured as being very safe in the first round.
I probably say it every year, but It really is amazing how many close games and last second heroics there are in the tourney every year. |

Best refereeing call I've seen in a long time. How they got that one right in real time I have no idea. Or maybe they thought it was a foul and just didn't have the balls to call it...

Temple needs to win one for the A10... or should I say for the A10 who is not named Xavier.

Totally disagree, he had his right arm hit(shooting hand). I think it was a gutsy no call, but there was a foul in my opinion. Besides he def didnt give him room to land and that in itself is a foul. I have really enjoyed this tourney so far though Last edited by muns : 03-17-2011 at 04:04 PM. |

UNC-Asheville has done well to cut the Pitt lead under 10 before half.

Dickey of UNCA is one of those guards that can take over a game if he gets hot, so I don't rule UNCA out of this game, but Primm picking up his 3rd foul right before half is not good for them.

Keep on eye on John Williams. He nearly single-handily beat Coastal Carolina in the Big South title game. Made several big plays offensively and defensively. |

Glad to see Temple eek one out...they're my sleeper pick this year (got them going as far as the Elite 8 before losing to Texas).

+1 Right there with you. I really struggled with Temple and Penn St., but I really believed in Louisville this year...but I should have looked at Moorehead with their future NBAer, and picked them looking for a first round upset pick. I let my "long run" assessment trump my "first round upset" assessment, when my experience shows I'm much better at the latter than the former. In any case...all in all I suck, but at least I'm in good company. |

I feel great that I picked both Richmond and Morehead State to advance.
However, I had Penn State with upsets of Temple and SDSU. Oh well.

Isn't she married to Verne Lundquist? I tend to think that no one is going to say anything, lest 2 of the 3 on-air talents walk-off.

I know I'm late, but GO EAGLES! First Tourny win for my alma mater since I was a freshman long ago. Even better that it came against Louisville, since they use us as an early pre-conference pinata nearly every season.

I said the same thing buddy! And I know PSU lost but I am sure as heck proud of them for their effort. If Brooks doesn't get hurt I think they win that game. Unfortunately they lose 80% of their starting 5 and will go back to being the bottom of the Big Ten. |

Brooks getting hurt, the foul trouble, there isnt a question thats a different game at that point. Thats why they play em though. I think Ed gets a few more years to try to turn it back around, I think what he has been able to do there was pretty special, and they have Frazier to build around, so there is some hope at least as small as it is. |

I'm with you. I'm in Korea, so the early games are 2 AM starts for me. Glad I have no team in this. I can casually watch the games I choose. Also a big shout out to CBS for continuing to keep the streams free! It's the only sport I can still watch without having to worry about the plug being pulled or having to pay a lot of money to view.
