Well, exactly. I probably can go find my rant from one of the past years about how everyone is expecting the world's greatest concert in 12 minutes that has mass appeal and all we hear is how bad it sucks every single year.

I think the Patriots bad football is behind them, at least on offense.

If they use Katy Perry next year they need to do a couple things that would make me watch.

1 - Bag over her head
2 - MUTE her
3 - Have her topless on a trampoline as the show

Hey, I'm just happy that the last couple of years we've moved away from the early-mid 00s theme of ridiculously stupid to cute/innocent funny

14th straight completion, super bowl record.
Nothing against Brady, but that should get an * for the intentional grounding, no?

Might have been a good time for John Mellencamp but I believe he just did a Thanksgiving show a few years back.

Let's do the game we were talking about last year. Who do you want to see do the halftime show? Has Jay Z become "too old" yet and it's time for him to do one?

EDIT: Do you bring him in for the New York Super Bowl in 2 years?

The Giants defense looking a lot like they did during that losing streak. No pass rush, playing on their heels and giving up tons of 5-10 yard passes and runs. Giants offense needs to go into "shoot out mode" because the Giants D is asleep.

Lady Gaga would have been the prefer choice. While not my style, I much her to Madonna, she has mass appeal and supposedly puts on a good show. That said the black eyes peas should have been a good choice too

I'll take the points but I have no confidence in the pass rush getting to Brady right now.

Yeah, the famed pass rush isn't having an impact at all.

never mind, I got confused with Eli's super bowl record from the beginning of the game being mentioned almost simultaneously.

It's really all the Giants have for a defense too. 4th worst in the league in passing yards, middle of the pack in rushing defense. If they aren't getting turnovers and sacks, it's a long day for the Giants D.

That was fortunate for the Giants. With 3 defenders around him he needs to wrap that ball up.

Both QBs strike me as being very careful with the ball this game - I've seen both throw it away or eat it a couple of times here where I suspect they would try to make a play in the regular season.

yep, my wife said the same thing.

If the Giants lose this game, and I think they will, they will have no one to blame but themselves for missed opportunities.

Random thought, Brady looks like he's reading the Giants at the line extremely easily. Just me?

I didn't suggest that the game plans were conservative - just that the QBs both seem to be valuing possession over taking shots.

As I type this Brady gets picked on a bomb.

This game is going really fast. At this rate, it'll be over by 9:30. Pretty unheard of for a Super Bowl with a 30 minute halftime.

Three quarters without a turnover, and the first turnover is basically a punt.

Well at least they found another way to give away 5 yards after taking the timeout. So they have that going for them.

What horseshit! Apparently you can grab a receiver with your left hand before the ball arrives
