Already did. I didn't want to go again until someone verified it wasn't bold. I thought Kwhit was messing with me. It looked bold to me.

Looks like JE just beat you out for last. Oh well, hopefully we can get more points. Since there aer more spots than players, do we have to cycle before we use AlanT again?

Wow, total lack of respect, they all went after Oz instead of us.

Alan's second made it in before the Oz vote, so we still got a point at least. I don't think we have to cycle, but everyone has to go once, so we might be forced to skip a vote in the middle of the day and then have Mr.W retroactively apply to it...I'm not sure, this is going to be interesting.

Mr.W usually checks in before noon or 1pm. I say Tyrith get the 12:00 vote if you will be here, then we can go by ear for Pass, Mr.W and Lathum.

We don't have to cycle though, just need to get everyone a vote...

so now who to vote for.. Rigth now its:

Schmidty - 3
Ardent - 2
Cronin - 1

I don't really think schmidty likely volunteered (I could be wrong though).. and I doubt he will be a likely oz voter.. so Do we want to focus on Ardent more as he has more points, or stay with Cronin?

We're currently counting on Lathum to get the 9pm block two, right?

For purposes of who has the most votes, it's not weighted by what place that vote came in. That only effects the team's score.

If we have someone not show up or something can we just take a 0 for a vote and have that count as the person's turn instead of some nasty disqualification penalty?

Alan - 9:53
Gramm - 10:30
Tyrith - 12:00
1:15
3:00
5:00
7:30
9:48
9:59 (votes must be in by 10:00)

This is what we have so far. I can't do the 7:30 time. I could probably try to stay at work until 5 to do that time.

There is a possibility I will be back for the 9:48 or 9:59 times, but don't know for sure.

I can do the 5 time, but we need to get Pass and Mr.W in for two of the 115-730 times if we work on the assumption that Lathum will do the last two -- and looking at the schedules he's the only one that said he'll be around at deadline.

Only thing I can think of is if Mr.W shows up and says he can only do the 12:00 one or something, we try to accomidate around his schedule. Lathum and Pass seem to be more active so I think we'll have better luck trying to get them a time.

This might be critical for this round. If you look at the bottom of the page, there is a clock for the forum time. You can use it to predict when the next deadline will be. By using the clock you can be able to post within 1 second or so of the time for your turn.

The clock looks like:

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:11 AM.

If not everyone on a team competes in the challenge at some point the team will lose points from it's highest scoring round. I spread out the times so that in theory based on what people had posted that I believe everyone should be around for at least 1 of the times based on what I'd seen about people's schedules.

I'm thinking about trying to get a stopwatch or something and syncing it to the forum clock so I can tell second by second, but I can't really do that now...an interesting thought for later, maybe.

I have two computers side by side at work. I opened up the clock on my left computer (just double clicking on the time in the task bar) where it shows the seconds.

THen I tried a forum refresh when my clock was at :49:59 to see the time. Forum time for me was :49. Then I tried it at :51:00, Forum time for me was :51.

So my work desktop to the second is at the same time the forum is. I just waited for the time to get to 9:53:00 to hit submit on my post. (I had pre-typed it in with the coloring and I had thought the bold, so I just had to hit submit at the time)

Ok, lets have Lathum do one of the 1:15 or 3:00 blocks then. Which one depends on if Mr.W or Pass show up and say they can do only one of them.

I'll just try to see if I can get home by 9-something tonight.

Eh, its in the rules. We're still doing ok, only down 2 points, and I'm pretty sure I can finish first vs anyone I go up against so we'll get those back.

More importantly no one from our tribe has votes yet which is good too.

I would say that we should have Alan do all of them that he can while he's still at work...and probably the at home ones too, because he seems to know how to do this better than the rest of us.

Alan - 9:53
Gramm - 10:30
Tyrith - 12:00
?Lathum? - 1:15
?Lathum? - 3:00
?Tyrith? -5:00
7:30
?Alan? - 9:48
?Alan? - 9:59 (votes must be in by 10:00)

This is what I have right now. The question marks by names of people who arent locked in at the time but said they can do it. If we don't hear from Mr.W at some point before the 3pm vote, we might just need to leave the 5pm vote open. That way he just has to put a vote in between 5 and 7:30. Even if it gets us 0 points, it still counts.

Its more important to make sure everyone gets a vote in first. Once we do that, I dont mind taking the extra ones.. but we just need to get everyone in a timeslot.

When Pass and Mr.W show up and say what times they can take, it will help us round things out a bit more.

If you can do the two that you assigned as Lathum's second and my second, Alan, I'm fairly certain you should instead of us. I think if I play with this enough I can have it down to 5 seconds or so, but that might not be good enough if other people are doing what you're oding.

Earlier we talked about Cronin, Ardent and Schmidty. I think I would go with either Ardent or Cronin myself. Both have votes, so I guess just keep going with one of those two. Should keep the vote counts up on people not in our tribe to make it harder for whatever bad to happen to one of us.

Damn, I got third. Probably best to time it. but, I hit refresh over and over again and posted as soon a it showed 10:30a. I'd be wary of guessing the timing a if you post early, it won't count.

Missing a vote from Howard this round, but right now the scores are:

St.cronin - 2
Ardent - 1
Schmidty - 1
Jonathan - 1
Alan - 1

Oz - 3
Lupus - 5
Helsing - 2
Howard - 2

So right now we're looking at Tyrith for next vote. I think we should just stay on St.Cronin again to keep the vote away from us some. I think Lupus voted me to try to lock me out there.

As long as you get the timing down ahead of time, it stays consistant. So if you practice, it should be fine when you post.

Its not horrible yet. We're tied for last with 2 points. 1 point behind 2nd place, 3 points behind first. Its far from over.

From what it sounds like there are two things going on here.. a Reward for the team who wins, and some punishment for whomever gets the most votes.

So we want to try to aim for both of those.
