Queue complaints for running up the score.

I say everyone thinks the Pats haven't found their rhythm this season. I don't have a problem with them keeping it going til the 4th. Why stop it early.

Exactly, please give the Titans D more shots at Brady's knee. What difference does a penalty make?

Serious game experience is a 52-0 game?

Kidding aside, it's a good move to get him some snaps and experience.

In pro football, running up the score is fine. I have no problems with it.

omg

4th and 10 from the Pats 17 and they decide to run a play and collins fumbles the ball, pushes it to the RB who kicks it around a good 20 or so yards back downfield before falling on it and getting piled on by the defense.

At this point does Jeff Fisher make it to the end of the season? Or even until Monday afternoon?

Same here. Everything has been off kilter, and Russell has actually looked respectable at times. Seymour has been a load and losing Peters to the injury earlier didn't help.

Sure you can complain. A cheap shot is still a cheap shot. And it'd be more embarrassing if the Pats just came out and took 3 knees and punted it away then if they actually kept running plays.

They're all professionals...they're all getting paid.

It's much different then say a kids little league game or pop warner game or something.

Since we're talking about the NE game and fantasy, did Leigh Bodden not play? He has no fantasy points for me.

I'd think I better not waste money by losing game checks from suspensions or fines, no one on that team is getting a big payout anytime soon.

Ah, I missed Peters getting hurt. Gotta love Andy Reid, in a game where the Eagles haven't been down by more than 7 points, he's called 11 runs and 35 passes.

Hard to say he would have been canned by now if I was the owner but Bud Adams is one of the origianl AFL owners thus NFL forefathers so he is now half in the back (body) Not sure why they don't start to play Young. Maybe at least if he plays well they could get a 2nd rounder for him since the Pats now own the Titans 2nd which is practically a late 1st. Gah bad to be a Tiatns fan this year first McNair and now this

Doesn't exactly help them prepare to play hard the final 10 minutes in the next close game. Come to think about it, it doesn't help anyone but the Titans.

That's the conclusion I came to in 2007. If they just went easy on the opposition in the 3rd quarter week after week, it'd be a nasty habit when a real challenge came. All in the name of not hurting the other teams feelings.

Unless it's a suspension, which they'd get if they were just taking dives at knees. That's a game check gone right?

Unfortunately for Fisher, his days are numbered.

Fortunately for a slew of NFL teams with head coach vacancies upcoming, Jeff Fisher's days are numbered.

I don't think Chubby's comment was out of line. They should have got him the hell out of there, not to 'play nice' but for their own sake. Sure, it sucks if he ends up in the habit of not playing a full game, but it's not like he's getting competitive game experience either way.

Come on Eagles! I have the Eagles and Jets as two suicide picks. Also going up against Brady and Moss in two fantasy leagues, so aside from the Steelers win... not a great football week for me right now!

How exactly does playing "run up the score" when you're up 50+-0 help you prepare to play hard in a close game?

Geez Fisher in Dallas would work for both sides I think. He would at least have a solid FO organization which the Oilers/Titans never have been. hE is a good coach much like Cowher but his system does not work I think in a small market team like Tennessee. That would be a huge change for the Cowboys from marshmellow Phillips to Fisher.

You can't complain about a team "running up the score" at halftime. Plus the running game was moving pretty well, too. Pats did the right thing: one more drive early in the 3rd quarter, then start pulling the starters. Since it's not on TV, I hope they've taken out Merriweather, Wilfork, Welker, Moss, Mayo, and maybe one or two O-linemen as well. Let everyone else get some work, you don't want any of those guys hurt at this point.

Again, running up the score in college I buy. In the NFL where it's these guys jobs to play? Fuck them. They deserve a bomb to be dropped on them.

Do you think Domino's is going to stop selling pizza one day when the Jets down the road is getting no business because they feel sorry for them?

Well, at least they will know he sucks and move onto Pike, Clausen, Bradford, or mcCoy in the draft.

Raiders stopped a 4th down conversion and there's 2 mins 15ish seconds, Eagles with two timeouts.

You mean a solid FO organization that trades a 1st and 3rd for WR Roy Williams?
Also, why would his system not work for a small market team but it would work for a big market team?

Anyway, I doubt he'll be fired but if he is, I would love for the Cowboys to pick him up.

Yeah, good point now that I think about it. It is just the Titans ownership runs the team under the cap the last couple of seasons s the Marlins have done in the MLB. I think that Fisher ball is too conservative and for it to work you have to have the exact players to make it work. The Cowboys certainly have the inclination to spend on FAs as needed though Phillips is obviously a poor judge of talent.

It's typical Andy Reid coaching, usually there are 3 or 4 of these games a year where the Eagles come in completely unprepared and lose a game to a team they shouldn't. The most recent example is last year vs Washington late in the season or the tie vs Cinci.

The Jackson play? I thought so as well. I can only guess that Jackson felt that it hit the ground or I have no other idea why they didn't challenge (unless I missed that they had used both challenges already).

Was getting tired of the announcers talking about it but the kickoff coverage was pretty damn funny.
