On replay, it indeed looks like a catch. But you can see why the ref didn't call it initially.

The motherfucker dropping the ball has a lot to do with it.

But once they went to review there wasn't any doubt in my mind what the call would be no matter what the replay showed.

Exactly. Possession with the ball across the plane equals a touchdown regardless of the kick out of his hands afterwards.

The problem with the replay shown to us is that it was in slow motion.. it was sooo damn close.

Because of the sickening bullshit "feel good" angle that gets to be played ad nauseum.

I don't think that Audi spot worked the way they seemed to be hoping for.

Nope, threw it right to him.

Of course you have to go back to the call on the onside kick (and the apparent initial possession by Tackett on his dive into the pile following the muff) and the failure to flag the Saints for having half their fucking coaching staff on the field during the scrum to keep the whole second half in perspective.

{shrug}

It is what it is. I'm nauseated by the outcome but that'll pass before midnight so I suspect I'll live.

This game isn't rigged. The Saints came out wanting it. The Colts are playing their normal, conservative selves and it's just not going to work.

I just wanted a sack on that play and was blessed with a pick six instead. Woohoo. Save that best qb ever for somebody with multiple super bowl titles.

Hartley had some nice plays, but Porter has to be ahead of him on the list. Up to a 14 point swing on his play. I think Brees probably gets it, but if not Porter should.

I didn't pay attention to who kicked there, but usually Hartley doesn't do kickoffs for the Saints, punter Morestead does.

{yawn} My utter contempt for New Orleans is well documented, the Saints just get to be the beneficiary of it tonight. But if that gives you a rooting interest by all means knock yourself out.

From the pbp (no idea if it's right or wrong)

T.Morstead kicks onside 12 yards from NO 30 to NO 42, impetus ends at NO 44. RECOVERED by NO-J.Casillas.
