No other reason as it's about to get busy at work and I don't want to forget. Won't effect the Mau vote if the theory of killing votes from the future is true.

Well, EF's answer about death seemed to suggest that isn't hte case. Sounds like when you're dead, you're dead. |

I tend to agree with this, but it's good to get ideas out there at least. Still trying to wrap my head around how much time shifting we could see, and how the game could end in that case. I imagine at some point we won't be able to shift anymore (maybe if Doc dies) and time will only move forwards. |

Yeah, that's what I was reading from EF's post as well. However I'm seeing merit in what Chief is saying - so as of now we can't go behind past D-3, and once we hit tomorrow, whatever time zone we are in, we wouldn't be able to come back to D-3, only D-2, and so on. So there's still the chance that unless we lynch mau before D2, he'd be alive on any days in which the thread is before D2, but would be "dead" if we were to shift into the future beyond D1. |

I'm not suggesting that we -should- lynch mau or anything, just using him as a theoretical example since that's the only "result" we've gotten.

I think that we should try not to vote based on theories about the mechanics. Mau and Schmidty voters should be voted if that is where you want to vote. More then likely we will be wrong or only partially right on how the mechanics work. Once we have a better idea we can start planning for the present and the future.

Urk! This talk about time travel is doing my head. Particularly by Chief.
I have to say that I want to vote Autumn at the moment because he's pinging me somehow. But I'd rather have discussion etc etc, even if that leaves me out in the cold because I don't have the time to get involved. |

For hurting my head and his theories could just be the sort of blind alleys a Wolf Rum would come up with to a) muddy the waters, b) make it look like he's contributing and c) something else.
I, on the other hand, shall contribute very little and not muddy the waters. |

Wow I almost got the day one shaft!!
Sorry for not peeking in here earlier. I just remembered the game when I accidentally hit my werewolf bookmark on my phone. Silly me. Anyhoo. I agree with those that think if we lynch a mau voter their vote won't count on day one thus creating a new tally and me living. So I say we go that route. |

But why do we want you alive, Mau? This seems even better. We get to hear your posts, get your votes, and then later you die and we find out what they meant. Best Day 1 lynch ever!

Anyone seen the British "Pop" "Quiz" show "Never Mind the Buzzcocks"? They have an intro guessing round in that, where two of the participants have to sound like the intro to a (normally not in the slightest) famous song. Here's my rendition. Nuh-nur! Nununur Nu-nu-nununurr! Nuh-nur! Nuh-nuh Nurrrr Nurrrrr! |

Ahhh! The old Vote-for-no-shows conundrum.
I thought the accepted practice was to not-vote-for-no-shows and hope the GM can replace them. I thought pushing to vote-for-no-shows is a vaguely wolfy tell. In fact I've been finding Britrock almost as pingy as Autumn. And as the all-new instincts not fact-based Nark I'm testing out I think I will |

I gave my reasonings after the vote each time. Sal was just a random.org vote since we haven't played for a while. Then after the 49ers got clobbered, I didn't want to vote sal because I felt bad for him. Quote:
Later switched to DT due to check in without vote. Also, I wouldn't want to vote Narcizo out without getting at least one vote chart. |

Right, I just was surprised you switched from one Day 1-style vote (Sal) to another, for another D1 reason. Your move to DT made sense to me. I just don't peg you for a guy who switches off a random vote to another random vote (but maybe you take Saldana's feelings about football more seriously than I do). |

Ironically Brit has not been pinging me at all. You haven't either, so that doesn't get me anywhere. And I will say that yes, absolutely I normally argue against voting out no-shows. But I just feel we've had a long string of games that have been hurt by no-shows and low-posters, where we get six days in and those people show up and are still alive but there's nothing to judge them by. I'd almost rather shoot ourselves in the foot than vote off active players in order to keep no-shows around and hope they start talking. But that's totally frustration talking, it's not a rational approach at all. |

My vote on Kwhit was simploy for low posting. Now that I've reread the thread I have a few people I have quesiton marks on. Jackal is one, and the way he followed JAG's vote on GE felt a bit fishy to me. GE is actually also on my list, but I don't expect my whole list is correct, and he's already got votes. I don't feel like Brit is bad. Whether to vote Schmidty if he doesn't show up I'll leave until tonight to decide.

GE was one of the people I was leaning towards voting anyways, wasn't necessarily following JAG, but I get it. After the defensive tone of his posts I feel comfortable where I am at the moment.

I was originally on to GE just because of his vanilla villager check-in, whether it was intended to be humorous or not. That didn't use to bother me, but..

No, I agree with you there, I had a little mark down on him about that. and I think Britrock also called him on that (right?) which I think is why I felt a bit better about Brit.
