Interesting that the most conservative repubs are voting for our bill. They seem to be hurting themselves locally on a bill that should pass regardless...

Here's my thoughts on slurry/support (since I can't find my original post)
Support:
1 - our bill
2 - packerfanatic
3 - other (henry?)

Slurry
1 - clap
2 - jeheinz72
3 - RendeR

Lathum - make sure you PM CR to let him know you are the liaison so you get the privileges to PM.

Because I bet they aren't even thinking about it and they're the more active of their team so they're going ahead and getting their votes out.

I think our team has a better handle on the game.

Yeah. It steps WAY out there, IMO. Those of you near the far left like me, lathum, chesapeake, mccollins, maybe path should probably vote no for it.

To score a major win, we need to be the most powerful party. But does assisting in the electoral defeat of Republicans sort of help the wolves more than we help ourselves?

I agree. It won't do you guys any good to vote for it. I think it will pass but be knocked down by the courts.

Why the fuck didn't they run it by CR 1st?

Should this be something we have Lathum pass along to them?

This has probably already been hammered out, but I think more is better -- at least a 33% chance of each. That's not out of line with a traditional role IMO.

I think even Eagle and maybe Packer should vote against it. I highly doubt they ran it by CR and I think there's a decent chance he'd have to strike it down.

I dunno. We clearly have an advantage over them here. But will pressing it help the wolves too much? I say we let the day play out as it will with us taking advantage of what we can (to help us get a president elected from our party). At that point we can me a bit more helpful to their side.

Path, do you think you have the most open schedule to be the liason?

I do have a pretty open schedule -- as I mentioned earlier I'm on a good 7-8 times per day.

Would be honored to serve as liason if needed, if not will be content to be behind the scenes as necessary.

We have 3 Supports and 3 Slurrys to decide on using.
My suggestions for Supports:
Our Bill
PF
(one left) Potentially KWhit since he may be unpopular for being in the pocket of special interests

Slurrys:
GOP Bill
(still thinking)
(Still thinking)

I'm not listening to my prior thing about commenting. Is it possible for us to put two slurrys on one person? We could target heinz' spot or the next most liberal Rep spot and try for the flip.

Lathum, tell Pass. that our left most members will probably never be voting for their bills. Half of the game seems to be voting the way your constituents would want you to vote.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. But this is probably the right-most bill possible, so those of us on the far left really can't support it.

Pass' first PM, they are basicly using the same strategy as us

Quote:
Hey, I hear you're the liaison. Nice.

You might have already seen it in the thread, but as an FYI -- we're probably going to have the most conservative folks (me, clap, and Tyrith) vote against your bill. We still want it to pass, but we have to look out for our districts. I'm not exactly sure which matters more in terms of popularity -- being conservative in terms of opposing a BG bill, or doing what I can to get rid of wolves. I might abstain from the vote, but I haven't thought it through fully yet.

As I type this, it looks like mccollins has voted against our bill -- I think that's looking pretty wolfish. We're looking at our 3 or 4 most conservative people voting against the bill, with the idea of it still getting passed. But if mccollins leads a charge for our bill to fail, it screams wolf to me. Thoughts?

The posts in the main forum stink of absurdity. Can't the GOP do basic math? Honestly, we want the bills to pass with a bare minimum of votes. Anyone who changes their vote to cause it to lose is a wolf.

Tell him our plan was to have our 4-5 most liberal members vote their bill down.
In addition, remind him that I'm the main person trying to hint that their bill might be unconstitutional and help them out.

we are basicly using the same strategy. Not sure on McCollins, he seems to be helping you by hinting the bill is unconstitutional.

We plan on having our 4-5 more liberal members vote no for your bill so it still passes, we obviously need a seer.

I agree and it really makes me question some of the Republican leadership for putting out such a questionable bill.

What do people think of my solution in case this seer bill doesn't pass and I am Speaker?

The other side is having trouble differentiating between playing in character and playing the game. remember, they are Republicans and naturally a little slow. Most of their mothers probably dropped them on their respective heads when they were children.

If things get confused again, use plain speech.

I think they offer the bill in good faith. I am not convinced they have ulterior motives. But we may find out the hard way.

Is jeheinz this obtuse naturally, or is he trying to stir the pot? AKA -- does anyone else smell wolf?

I haven't played a lot of werewolf with him (or much at all lately) so I can't speak on jeheinz.

It's hard to say about alterior motives when we don't know who crafted the bill, it could be someone other than leadership but they did submit it to vote.

If speaker votes are locked in as well (like bill votes) that would give me 10 and a majority.

what I sent

we ran our bill by CR before we put it to a public vote to get a feel for if it would pass. I suggest you do the same

Just remember, the wolves don't want the bill to pass, it is to their advantage for us to have to do it all again tomorrow.

I know but we need a Seer in the game and it benefits our party to have the Speaker be a Dem. I got the feeling that that was what jeheinz was waiting for to vote for me as it was in his best interest to side with me over St Cronin and he was just posturing.
