Well we've got at least magicians and werewolves definitely right? That means at least two good sides to counteract the two bad. Maybe knights and something magical? The thing is that knights vs. magicians or werewolves doesn't really sound right.
I would think it would be hunters and some sort of counter-magic group. So maybe you have a third set with knights vs. heathens, or whatever the counterpart would be. |

I just don't get what lathum would get out of being so adamant of people's guilt, so quickly in the game. If he's right, he's obviously their #1 target, and will be quickly out of the game.
If he's mistaken or wrong, he's got the Airhog thing down. He will be lynched just because he's costing us valuable people.

Except Airhog didn't get lynched last game. Maybe he figures the stakes are worth it. Or maybe someone can protect him.

Well really Lathum's play is a good deal smarter than Airhogs. After all we won't know whether he's right or wrong, will we? So if for whatever reason he's not eaten tonight (whether he is a wolf, the wolf have a different target, or he is protected) we really won't know what it means will we?

just thought of something,
Peregrine stated that there would be minor and major victories for some groups. Could the knights be a force from the church that wins a minor victory if us villagers survive, but wins a major victory if they win AND all magicians in the village are eliminated? The magician would definitely see that as evil..

In the final vote, the chaotic ghost of Airhog turns the tide:
Eaglesfan27 (6) - Tigercat, Barkeep49, Fouts, Qwikshot, Kingfc22, Airhog Sirfozzie (2) - Eaglesfan27, Kwhit Kingfc22 (5) - Lathum, BrianD, Jeff061, Desnudo, SirFozzie Swaggs (2) - TazFTW, ntndeacon TazFTW (2) - Swaggs, Fonzie At least everyone voted this time. In a chaotic vote with several people named, it seemed that kingfc22 was done for, however a last minute shift left eaglesfan holding the short straw. He was violent in trying to elude the lynch, striking several and claiming loudly that he was a villager, but in the end he was brought down and hung on the tavern porch. Night 2 Eaglesfan27 - Lynched Day 2 ntndeacon - killed Night 1 BrianD Airhog - Lynched Day 1 TazFTW Desnudo Fonzie Qwikshot Jeff061 SirFozzie Barkeep49 kingfc22 Swaggs Kwhit Fouts Tigercat Lathum Have your night actions in by midnight please. |

yeah, I don't either. Instead of us having evidence of what works or not, we're blindly flailing in the dark. It makes a villager game more of a crapshoot then a reasoned deduction.

I'll repeat again that I don't think Eaglesfan was a wolf and anyone who voted for him did so without any cause whatsoever. At least in King's case we have a definite commitment from Lathum, for better or worse. I would also have put forward Taz as having more evidence against him than Eagles. Oh well, it's certainly possible that magicians and wolves had merged interests on this one.

Well the ghosts certainly have made things interesting. The no role revelation does add a whole new layer to the game. Perhaps there are hints in Pergines description that we're missing?

Just want to respond to something. If it is widely believed that ntndeacon is a knight (the sword thing in his death) and he votes with me, would that not be a statement to my goodness?
And the people that voted against me are thereby bad? |

Was Airhog's move chaotic, or was there some specific reason for the change?

I just find it interesting that Taz and Swaggs just voted for each other as if they were throw away votes. Why not pile on Eagles or myself who were the two high vote getters? Kind of suspicous if you ask me.

Yea but first he voted for me and then he switched it to someone else. After implying that he knew who killed him. At best hes a chaotic crazyassed ghost, at worse hes something that can be trusted even less. I would bet on Airhog being a knight before ntndeacon, even if the sword thing was a little peculiar. As far as the lynching, Lathum and his accused can still be held accountable in the future, and now with time we can better figure out the truth, rather than running around blindly while Lathum calls "Polo." |

Good pt. Why would a werewolf or a magician need a sword, especially when there are knights around who DO use them?

It's not a good point.
How do you know there aren't other bad guys in the game that do use swords? Don't get caught up in the "only must be magicians and werewolves" idea since Peregrine clearly stated there are other factions. I think everyone is reading way too much into the sword left. Look at actions. |

Plus, look at the description of the ghosts in the rules.
There is someone, who is still living, that has a relationship with the ghosts. Only the dead know what they are able to do (or not do), but, in my opinion, the master of the ghosts is not a positive role. Having 2+ chaotic ghosts cannot be a good thing. |

Okay, let's look at your actions. You vote for Airhog, switch to Kevin, and then tried to switch to Eaglesfan to cause the tie (which would have resulted in the death of either Airhog or Eaglesfan). You then voted for SirFozzie and then switched again to king (the new Kevin). and then you say, Quote:
So the question is Senetor Kerry, why did you try to vote for Eaglesfan the first time when you did not think there was any cause to do so? |

We've only had 2 nights, how much of a concidence would it be for lathum to be the seer and the one guy he chose to view in the first two nights is the one guy that was killed? Its possible, I suppose, but I just assumed that Lathum was agreeing with me that it seemed unlikely that Peregrine was telling ghosts who killed them.
As far as the ghosts, who knows what the roles of whoever has a role with them is. How many people have a role that involves the ghosts? Can any of those people control the ghosts? Talk with them? All that is really told to us is that while one(and perhaps the only) of the ghost persons is alive the ghosts can vote. It could be that that person could only allow for that. I agree though, if there is a ghost person that can control the ghosts the ghost behavior would seemingly put that person in a negative role right now. It does sound like possible Magician role(s), only who knows what the magicians are really all about. |

It was actually a change from the middle of last game. Becareful about ties. I nearly caused a tie trying to protect a person who was indeed innocent and it eventaully caused me to be lynched.

Then wouldn't it be advantageous for the wolves (bad guys) to try to get ties in the lynch vote because then no one gets lynched and then the wolves can eat without reprecussion. |

Eventually yeah, the idea is early in the game we just don't have enough iformation and therefor an innocent is almost guarenteed to be lynched. So if there is a tie the first round it gives us an extra day to make a more informed decision.

OK, just in case I am killed tonight. I am possitive King is evil, that combined with Airhog's last minute switch makes me suspiscous of both of them.
If I am killed tonight you know where to go. Last edited by Lathum : 07-06-2005 at 10:29 PM. |

After reading through the Ghost role, I'm wondering how much control they have over their votes. It sounds like they could have a predetermined behaviour assigned to them.
