We have drawn Inter in the Champions League Semi-Final. The first leg will be on their pitch on April 27th.

Henk ten Cate told the media that he thinks his Bolton team will beat us and prevent us from winning the EPL Title. I responded uncharacteristically and virtually guaranteed that we will win the EPL Title!

Today we host Bolton in an EPL match. They are in 17th place and we are expected to handle them easily. They do have several dangerous players including striker/right winger Achille Emana who is expected to start at striker today. Emana has 4 goals and 9 assists in 33 starts and he is a talented speedster. Quincy Owusu Abeyie is a new striker who is playing due to an injury to Filipe Oliveira. Abeyie is a 30 year old burner who uses great speed to make plays. He has 11 assists in just 20 starts. David Robinson is a 21 year old midfielder who is playing well this year. However, their defense has been a mess. Jonathan Spector, the 30 year old American Defender, has been their best defender and he isn't that good. Raymond Soeororedjo has been their second best defender and he has been below average at best. Alexandre Negri is a good keeper, but he has been having bad games due to facing so many shots.

We are 4-7 favorites.

It's raining with temperatures in the 50's.

Schreurs and Downing were both selected to the EPL Team of the Week.

Salva has resumed light training. He is expected to back at full strength in about a month.

April 20, 2016 -

Alberto Flores had cooled off the last two games but he had our sole goal at the 2 minute mark to beat Everton's reserve's 1-0.

April 22, 2016 -

Alberto Flores dominated in our 1-0 win over Preston's Reserves. He had a 9 for form, completed 29 of 35 passes and had the game winning assist. He makes players around him better which is key.

Today we travel to play Leeds in an EPL Match. Leeds is in 8th place currently. They are led by the strong scoring of Shane Paul who leads the team with 16 goals. However, their second leading scorer is midfielder Matthew Alexander with 5 goals. The rest of the offense is weak. However, their defense is very good with Steve Edwards, Billy Jones, and Paul Adams all having above average years. Richard McDonald has had some rough spots, but he is playing better the last few weeks as well.

We are 4-7 favorites.

It's sunny with temperatures in the 60's.

Today we travel to play Inter in the Semi Final First Leg Match of the Champions League. Inter has a highly talented team that is currently 4th in italian Serie A. Francisco Guillermo Ochoa is a very good keeper who is still highly effective. Phillip Lahm is a very good right back who is on top of his game. Left winger Roberto is a world class player who has 12 goals and 10 assists in 39 starts. He is only 24 and he keeps getting better. Roberto Salvatierra is a 24 year old Argentinian striker who is becoming on of the best in the world. He has terrific speed, great dribbling ability, and a lethal shooting touch. He has 15 goals in 18 starts this year. Uilliam is a 25 year old Brazilian midfielder who is also one of the best in the world. He is strong, fast, agile. He is relentless, brave, even dirty at times. He is a superb passer, shooter, with great technique, creativity, and flair. Their other best striker obafemi Martins is injured for the next 2 weeks.

We are 5-4 favorites.

It's sunny with temperatures in the high 60's.

I'm taking a chance today by resting Rooney and Adriano for the final few games.. hopefully it doesn't cost us.

Today we travel to play West Ham in an EPL Match. This is very important to win as our last 2 matches are against Newcastle and Liverpool and I'm not sure we can win both of those. West Ham is currently in 12th place. They are led by midfielder Aaron Lennon who is a 29 year old English player who is on top of his game this season. He is a great dribbler and he is making plays. Andy Reid is 33, and he is starting to show declining ability at left wing but he does have 11 assists this year. Warren Norman is a 25 year old keeper who is developing into a good keeper. He has 13 clean sheets in 39 starts. Richard Duffy and Stuart Giddings are leading the defense with decent play. Roberto is key to their offense. The 25 year old Spanish striker is a VERY fast player who leads the team with 12 goals and 9 assists in 27 starts.

We are 4-7 favorites.

It's sunny with temperatures in the 50's.

End of 90 minutes.

Derby have been relegated from the EPL.

May 8, 2016 -

Today we host Newcastle in an EPL Match. They are in 13th place. If we win this match, we win the EPL Title! This is our best chance as this team is weaker than Liverpool. They are led by Kasper Lorentzen who is still a good left winger and who has been their best player so far. James Milner is playing well on the right wing. Luis Carlos and Dion Dickhoff are doing very well for the defense. The midfield is the one weakness on this team beside the keeper who has been erratic. Michel Testerink has been very inconsistent. Ignacio has been great at the striker positon and he leads the team with 20 goals. Jermain Defoe defies time and he has 18 goals on the year.

We are even odd favorites.

It's raining with temperatures in the high 50's.

Mazel tov! This season got off to a rough start, but you guys really turned it around.

I guess better to start weak and finish strong than the other way around (like last year).

Thanks and I definitely agree. I think my experiment of putting 4 offensive midfielders failed early and caused early problems. Parker has become an integral part of my midfield. Parker constantly makes all of the hustle plays, and really keeps our time of possesion up.

Our reserve lose 2-0 to Sunderland's reserves without Flores in the lineup.

May 14, 2016 -

Real Madrid won the Spanish First Division Title.

Our U18 team tied Bolton 0-0 without Flores in the lineup.

Wayne Worthington suffered a compound leg fracture in a match against Aston Villa today. He is expected to need surgery and miss the next 5 months.

Bolton has been relegated from the EPL.

May 15, 2016 -

Bordeaux have won the French First League Title.

Dani has told me that he wants to be in the first team or he wants to be traded. The 22 year old keeper has potential, but I don't think that he is worthy of starting over Howard and Adriano.

Italy have been made favorites to win the European Football Championship with 3-1 odds. France is second with 7-1 odds. We (England) are third at 10-1 odds. Holland is next at 11-1. Spain has 11-1. Portugal has 14-1 odds.

Our first match is June 13th.

I love the stat line fix

Yeah, that 5 minute stretch was very nice. Bringing Ortega on late allowed him to totally dominate his man and got the whole team fired up again

I was going to finish the Champions League Final last night, but the board wasn't cooperating. I'll play that tonight after work.

Today we play Milan in the Champions League Final. Milan is led by superstar midfielder Marcel Silberbach and Cristiano Ronaldo who are both dynamic players. Ronaldo is playing on the left wing and he has been nearly unstoppable with 21 goals and 19 assists this year. Fernando torres is 32, but the Spanish Striker is still a dynamic scorer and he has 25 goals and 14 assists on the season. Francesco Bilardo hasn't been nearly as good, but he has had his moments. He has 8 goals and 6 assists in 35 starts. Carlos is a 20 year old midfielder who is on the verge of becoming a star. He has 11 assists on the year. Andreas isaksson is a 34 year old keeper who is still on top of his game. He has 24 clean sheets in 54 starts on the year.

We are 6-4 favorites.

It's sunny with temperatures around 80.

I stupidly recruited Miller to England's U19 game (which is occurring at the exact same time) and he is unavailable for this match!

We've been given 8 million dollars for winning the Champions League Final.

We've been given 24 million from Champions League TV revenue.

Fans are throwing huge parades as we return to the stadium after our Champions League Win.

We've pulled off the most important double, but would still like to pull off the quadruple. That goal eludes my grasp for yet another year.

(OOC: I'll post end of the season stats and finish out the international play of this season later this week.)

That was artistic license. However, I really did get a news item that ranks me as 18th in the World of all time managers.

Thanks guys

Keep up the great work Eaglesfan

You know the list you showed that had the best English managers of all time (I think that was this season, it may have been last season) and it listed your major tournaments won and minor tournaments won (which was at 0) anyone know what they consider to be a minor tournament?

In response to your question, I'm not sure what they consider minor and what they consider major. The next time I view that screen, I'll see if there is anyway I can figure it out.

OOC NOTE: Not even a game as fun as NCAA 2006 could keep me away from FM for a week. Time to post some end of season stats and go through the end of season international play. /OOC.

I awake this morning to look back at the final standings for the EPL 2015-16 season:

A few interesting tidbits about the end of season stats:

We had the most goals of any team by over 20 goals! Despite our problems at times, we still had the 2nd fewest goals allowed only behind Chelsea. Arsenal's fall to around 8th has been consistent for a few seasons now. They seem to be having problems finding a reliable keeper as well as two good centrebacks who work well together.

Middlesbrough had another surprising season coming in 3rd.

Individual EPL Stats:

Average Form:

1. Stewart Downing - 8.59
2. Helder Barbosa - 8.05
3. Wayne Rooney - 8.04
4. Antonio Ortega - 7.91
5. Jaime Gavilan, Arsenal - 7.85
6. Adraino (mine) - 7.80
7. Barry Parker - 7.76
8. Jose Antonio Reyes, Arsenal - 7.75
9. Adriano, Chelsa - 7.72
10. Jeroen Schreurs - 7.71

Not bad, we have the top 4 spots and 7 of the top 10!

Other Manchester United Notables:

16. Mark van den Boogaart - 7.57
23. Carlos Godoy - 7.47
29. Chris Miller - 7.41 (not bad for an 18 year old )
31. Tim Howard - 7.39
40. Mickael Schmidt - 7.35
49. Craig King - 7.31

Adriano, my keeper didn't crack the top 100

League Goals:

1. Wayne Rooney - 28 (A new team record!)
2. Adriano, Chelsea - 20
3. Stephane Dalmat, Liverpool - 17
3. Christophe Sanchez, Middlesbrough - 17 (possibly a target for me to acquire as a new young 3rd, eventually 2nd striker?)
5. Adriano - 16
6. Jermain Defoe, Newcastle - 15
7. Michael Chopra, West Brom - 14
7. David, Fulham - 14
7. Ignacio, Newcastle - 14

6 tied with 13.

Today we (England) play Serbia and Mont. in the European Football Championship Group Stage Match. Serbia is led by star midfielder Nikola Bozovic. He is a 28 year old midfielder for Villarreal. He is an excellent passer, and does everything well at the midfield position. Nikola Grubjesic is a good striker who is a 31 year old starter for Unterhaching. Nikola doesn't have much speed, but he is a lethal shooter. Vladimir Disljenkovic is a 34 year old keeper for Fiorentina. He had 10 clean sheets in 43 starts for them this year. He is an above average keeper in ability.

We are 4-6 favorites.

It's sunny with temperatures in the 70's.

Lucio has informed me that he has become a qualified coach and that he would like to become a coach at the club soon.

My AM thinks he will be a decent coach for defenders. He is one of my favorite players. i'm going to offer him a deal to become a coach at the club. i offer him a 2 year deal for 15,500/week.
