I will be away from my computer all day on Tuesday and have sent my list to RomaGoth (chosen at random because he's active and on the opposite side of the draft) so he can pick for me. We need to keep things moving. If you will not be able to check this thread during the day, please leave a list with me (though not on Tuesday) or someone opposite you.

I agree. This is just more in general than specific to today.

Just to let you guys know, I can draft this week

With G20 in Pittsburgh, I get to work remotely all week, so I'll keep this thread open on the side and check periodically

(Sorry, Dr. Sak, this pretty much guarantees Emery will be awful. Every year I have hitched my fantasy goalie wagon to the Flyer's goaltending star, it has ended in tragedy).

I am pretty sure Emery doesn't need any karmic help from you to achieve the level we call suck.

Now this is a nice pace. Be pretty awesome if I'm having to do double picks twice a day.

And yes, I realize that was an utter and complete jinx. I apologize in advance, it just seems to have been such a productive afternoon pick wise.

I know it might be early, but I have to admit I'm biased and I think he's going to have a heck of a season:

Right because he wasn't the goalie that took Ottawa to the finals.

I'm not expecting the world from him but after two years of Biron, I'm willing to take a gamble on Emery.

Emery didn't take Ottawa to the Finals. He travelled on the bus with the rest of the team.

Keep in mind, it was my team that tore him apart in said Finals.

Just so I understand he had nothing to do with his 90% playoff save percentage and only giving up 2.26 goals per game? Nor his 2.4 gga during the season and 91% save percentage? It was all his team. The ENTIRE team fell apart in the finals not just Ray. And that team has been in shambles since...not just Ray.

Ray Emery is not the savior of the Flyers nor do I expect him to be one. All they want is a solid effort from him. I am actually worried about other parts of the Flyers more than Ray Emery.

Hey, if you're happy with Emery in goal, then power to you. I was just tossing out a joke in the first place, and if I had known you were gonna get butt hurt about it, I wouldn't said nothing. Sorry, Brian, and good luck this season with your goalie.

If you look at the goalies in the past few years that the Flyers had, this really is no worse. I'm not happy, but barring a trade I don't think there was really anyone much better out there.

I understand your point, but Biron wanted a raise and more years. And I really didn't feel too happy about paying the Bulin wall a lot of money and years at his age. Emery is a risk/reward type of guy and only for a year. He could blow up...he could do great...most likely he'll be somewhere in the middle.

But at least I wont be throwing my beer at the TV watching Biron give up short side high goals.

And sometimes your jokes/sarcasm are hard to pick up over msg boards...so my apologizes if I snapped back at you.

Aw, it's all right, man. It's just that time of the month for you. Crosby understands.
