Too bad its the last season for the Brewers. Losing Prince will be the end of that team.

I disagree completely - Prince is good, but he's a 1B. I expect the Brewers to be in contention next year with the Reds and Cardinals.

So do the Rays just use the leftover goal horn for HRs when that was the Thunderdome for the Tampa Bay Lightning?

So if I'm rooting for the Orioles does that make me a terrible person? Should I be rooting for game 163 like a normal person?!

Good news Braves fans: David "The Human White Flag" Herndon is coming into pitch the bottom of the 13th. Good luck in the playoff tomorrow.

Why are tonight's baseball games so compelling? Because they're playing for something that has meaning & have been building to this for wks.

That's pure genius.

Pretty sure the Braves could have figured out a way to get no hit by Brett Myers tonight if that situation had somehow arose.

With Herndon pitching, it's not over until the Phillies have four outs.

Proctor is going to be Proctor'd tonight. He'll pitch until either his arm falls off or he loses the game, most likely loses the game. 1st and 2nd for the Rays, 1 out. Trainer coming out to look at Proctor.

Most of their minor leaguers are in the game. Only regulars in now are Posada and Gardner. They've used all their minor league relievers and I guess the next pitcher will be Noesi as the Rays couldn't score against Proctor.

Fans on this board aside, I don't feel bad at all. This is a fan base that wouldn't sell out playoff games when they had some of the greatest players in the history of the game playing. Cards fans are far more deserving of a playoff team.

What does Joe Maddon have against the sac bunt? Leadoff guys on both innings and a run wins you the game.

As a Braves fan, what emotion should I have, other than thank fucking God this shit is over. I've never seen a team collectively decide to stop hitting for entire stretches of games. Can you imagine being in the bullpen, knowing each night you have no margin for error?

Yup. No way the Rays can choke on this. I mean, c'mon guys. What's more deplorable is their lack of fans, but I guess we're used to that by now.

What's the downside to stretching out Tampa's pen if you're the Yanks, though? You've got the 40-man roster to play with, keep throwing out dudes who'll never sniff October, and your starters are out, or mostly so, while Tampa is playing for their lives. You can afford an 18 inning game, win or lose. They can't.
