Robben dithers on the edge of the box and has his shot blocked by a defender...Kaka lets rip with a scorcher that is just barely saved.

Brazil are playing 7 men behind the ball here, or so it seems.

Robben is taking WAY too long to shoot.

Maicon is the same way, it's honestly crazy to watch the Brazilian players yell like they are at the refs.

Brazil's players are spoiled...but they also seem to be the best. The Dutch look like they're still juuuust below the elite tier.

That was sooooo lame..lol. It would be like trying the hidden ball trick in the World Series. I suppose if it worked it would be remembered forever...but it's probably just going to make you look like a moron.

For real... there have been some instances of bad refereeing in this tournament. But the most consistently poor refereeing was the failure of the ref of even warning Ghanain players for time wasting. There was one instance of a guy just lieing on the ground in the US penalty area after his team lost possesion, forcing the stretcher to come bring him off (and of course kill a US attack when they put the ball out), and then popping up as soon as the stretcher got to the sideline. He didn't even try to hide it.

Why would anyone think that playing Van Persie as a lone striker would be a good idea ? He applies absolutely no pressure on Lucio/Juan and kind of doesn´t have a clue how and where to move wether the team has the ball or not ...

Like the referee so far, just that instance now as well. Yes it´s a foul and yes he hits Robben, but he clearly just misjudged a little and "took back" the attack when recognizing that.

wow, what a blunder by Cesar and Juan ...

I don't think it should have been ruled as on own goal though.

Yeah, that's a close one. Usually if the shot is on target it's not an own goal but a) that wasn't a shot by any means and b) Melo did get the touch that took it away from Cesar. I'd be fine with calling it either way.

Kaka plays like crap. Yeah, he has 2,3 good moments every game but on the whole he´s just off with everything be it shots or passes and also seems kind of slow and fatigued really (for his standards)

Brazil keeps getting caught off guard with the Dutch quick free quicks. You would think they would have noticed by now 66 minutes into the game.

A couple of things I like..

1) Dutch realized how the ref is calling the game and they are taking advantage of that...it's a chess match now, and the diving although I hate it, is being performed at the right time.

2) Brazil is keeping their feet and not diving, which is giving them some great moves and plays toward goal.
