I have stated the case against path before, so he's probably getting annoyed with it.

Basically, it was the combination of path being in the original five possible for the sword killer hire on Day One (he says he bid on the priest, and we went back and confirmed he announced that at the time, to be fair), and then being one of the six who could have been lying about Balbus Senna being stolen from Ironhead at the time when we had my plan in most effect. He was the only one in both groups.

There has also been the UTR factors that others have mentioned (I don't put as much weight into that), and path himself ponied up to that, to being less active than usual. And then he's been among our wealthiest (not top tier, but generally higher elite), and we have been suspecting that rich Tarqs have contributed to the confusion we have been seeing in the bidding process.

I thnik that's it, but I'll admit I haven't gone back and scanned a whole lot of posts on his guilt or innocence.

It seems to me we have no hard evidence of anything in this game. No clear role reveals, or undisputed scans. Unfortunately we have to go by patterns, implications and conjecture. Obviously when we do the target's going to be pissed, or act pissed if they're a traitor, so what can we do?

I'm going to bid on a bodyguard today, I'll put that out there. We don't seem to be able to stop them from getting a swordsman, but I'm hoping we can catch them now that the targets are much fewer.

And Chief, I agree, my energy for analysis has definitely waned. Especially when our power went out this morning and i lost my last batch of data on the game. I've tried looking at the service bid history and haven't learned anything useful. It also seems with our lower numbers we've lost a lot of the active players who helped spur all that analysis. Thanks Narcizo for keeping up with it. I'll try to get the time to pitch in too.

I was then told by cronin I that since I'm in jail I can't bid on anyone. I guess I should have done that before I went. He reminded me I have the assassin and I am able to use him to kill somebody.

So, here's what I've thought about with the sword kill.

Obviously a revenge kill of Narcizo would be sweet.

I thought about taking out CR for putting me up.

I've thought about using the sword kill on myself so Narcizo wouldn't know if I was good or not in the end. I don't know how that would end up, though. I also decided that would actually benefit the wolves. And I hate the wolves.

I'm pretty sure I won't use the sword killer on either CR or Narc. I'm about 90% on that. I'm not sure who I would use it on, and I'm open to suggestions.

It's a good point by ardent, but I don't know that it eliminates the possibility. That's the sort of second level thinking most of us don't go to. Not saying ardent wouldn't think that far ahead, or not see the possibility (this is were he int he hypothetical he puts out in there), but I'm not sure he would think it enough for peopel to strongly suspect him. At the time, it was a pretty well held consensus that the poisoning was the wolves' automatic kill. If I were in his positon, I'm not sure I would have considered that logical psosibility to be a serious threat in my future potential prosecutions.

So I wouldn't clear ardent of this possibility on that, but it stands him better than he was.

I also asked if there's any way to pass on my wealth. Seems like a lawyer could/would do that.

Well, I'm not annoyed with it in an Ardent sort of way, but yeah, it's always old to defend yourself this late when nobody has bothered to scan you or really come up with any reason except a day 1 event.

And I'm sure not rich any more......haven't been the past couple days thanks to all the lawsuits. But being in jail it's not like I can really bid anyway.

Thanks for putting up the information from your PMs to st. cronin, although, to be honest, I'm not sure there's anything there we didn't know. We knew you had the use of the sword killer, and that you couldn't bid. And of course with the sword killer, that measn you don't have a lawyer (although that is odd that you can't defend yourself, or so it would suggest). Unless there is something else there, you were driving at. I can get dense at times and miss things (I'm no AlanT).

As for who to use the sword killer. I have put up one suggestion. I think it's fairly obvious.

Obviously, I hope you don't do that, although I suppose it's not much worse than how we've done so far. If Anxiety is killed then we can arrest some new suspects and get past this impasse. If he gets bodyguarded or you get sex slaved (there's a new verb), then we'll have a lead on a bad guy.

Tyrus, let me know for sure what you're doing with an arrest, I don't want to both end up arresting the same guy.

I just thought of something weird. The duke role kept both guys from being executed, or so we're led to believe. How the heck was I supposed to know that, or anyone for that matter?

I thought it was awfully late in the game for a duke move. I was confused more than anything else by it -- plus the fact that nobody has fessed up to it.

Well yeah, if you're bad I guess it's exactly what you'd like to do. That was it -- it was the superheroes game and I WAS bad. Never got in the CoT but spent a lot of time arguing that people were being put in for bad reasons.

That's a lot easier when you know that there are wolves in there.

I don't remember what kind of conditional orders you can put in. I just don't think we should rely on the sword kill, and not bother with him. VOTE ARDENT ENTHUSIAST
