I object on the grounds that it looks like something you'd find stitched onto the back of Corey Haim's jacket in the early 90's.

When I was a kid the commercials had me thinking that Red Lobster was the most expensive and divine cuisine on the planet. That shit looked so tasty.

I'm afraid to eat there and shatter that delicate illusion.

And your dog Spot.. ya.. he isn't living on a farm with the Johnsons. He is dead.

If I lived 3 lifetimes and never ate at Red Lobster, that would still be too soon.

I wouldn't eat there tonight except it is my future in-law's anniversary tonight.

Ok, so I've had this cold for over a week now. I think it's finally at the end stages, but, my nose and ears keep plugging up on me and there's still a bit of a cough left. I don't think I've ever had a cold this long before other than about 15 years ago I had bronchitis. The only thing that I am amazed with this whole cold is, how in the freaking world does a human nose produce so much snot in such a short amount of time???

WTF ?!?!?!?

I'm pretty sure I understand the meaning of each of those words, but outside of very small children I don't think I've ever seen them used in that sequence before.

The cheese biscuits rule hard, the seafood is considerably more average. But damn them biscuits are good.

Yes. And don't wait for them to ask if you want more, tell them as soon as you're done.

And the phrase "as soon as you're done" does NOT mean wait until you've finished chewing the last bite. Once you pick up the last one, it's a good as gone so get the server on the refill no later than that.

Only time I ever went to one was when my wifes uncle gave us a gift card. We went to the bar, drank $50 worth of booze and called it a night. No desire to dine there.

I love my 9 y.o. daughter.

I'm watching a movie, and she walks through the room right when a guy suddenly turns out to be a bad guy. She says, "Welp, at least he's not a cannibal.", and just keeps walking out of the room.

I yell to her that there are no cannibals in the movie. She says, "Good, because cannibals can really ruin a movie."

I am a person who admires randomness, so I'm still beaming with pride.

Since Schmidty shared his kid story--

Every day I see the difference between how boys and girl act with my kids. My daughter is 6, my son is 4. Last night was a classic.

We found out after some complications and trying for a year plus, my brother-in-law and his wife are pregnant with their first. My wife breaks the news to the kids:

Mrs SR "Guess what...Uncle Joe and Aunt Alyson are going to have a baby!"

Lucy " Oh my God!! Is it gonna be a boy or a girl? I hope a girl!"

Sam " Does this have anything to do with hockey...I only like hockey!"

I give the Red Lobster food two thumbs up. Looked a little goofy on the inside (wasn't expecting that), but definitely good food.

I met Rosie Perez at the afterparty for the premiere of his first movie, The Take, and she looked amazing. Sadly, I won't be going to this one but my bro in law will and if he's unfaithful to my sister, I'll overlook it as long as he gets pics.

I know this might be construed as me just pushing the company line, but I do know that RL has re-branded itself in the past couple of years as more of a fresh-fish place than the old fried fish joint it used to be. I know they get daily fish deliveries because a couple of months ago the RL next door my restaurant had a manager oversleep or something, and we took in their delivery until the manager could arrive and unlock the restaurant. They're also very proud of their daily grilled fish specials...

Of course, I'm not a huge fish fan. So the last time I went there with the wife I got the Surf and Turf, and the steak was horrible. Not totally surprising, but still. The lobster was good, though...

Hell, I remember people doing that in the 80's. It was pretty much the top tier restaurant within, say, 30 miles of me, that wasn't in the relative stratosphere pricewise.

Then again, I also remember when Steak & Ale was a high-end expense account restaurant too.

We were either poor in the 80's and my parents didn't go out to eat that much or because I was a teenager I didn't pay attention to them.

Probably a little of both.

FTR, I think it was at least well into the 90's before my parents ever stepped foot in an RL. But I was aware of others who did. Dairy Queen/Hardees was about as far up the dining out food chain as my parent's did until I was at least in my early 20's, a function both of (in my view) frugal nature as well as having very few restaurant options where I grew up

We had a silly incident when we lived in Richmond. My wife and I were running errands in jeans and t-shirt, maybe a jacket- something like that and we had a Darden gift card. We went into Red Lobster at around 3 or 4 on a Saturday- so mid afternoon, long before the lunch rush and not a Sunday. There were still a couple of people dressed to the nines, like suit and everything. The waiter also looked down his nose at us the whole time, too.

Sad, really. We just wanted to scream "you're freakin' Red Lobster!"
