He did a spoof of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air opening as well:

Fallon is really doing well with the sketches IMO. It makes up for his weak monologue, and I give him some credit for realizing that and giving more time per show for sketches and having a relatively short monologue.

(though I generally watch Letterman, but if Letterman isn't new I choose between Fallon and Kimmel - Fallon's sketches make it a closer decision most nights than it should be)

Personally, I find monologues to be rather boring. Jimmy Kimmel does them well, IMO, because he incorporates videos and such.

(I've not bothered with the video yet. Still generally annoyed by Fallon, at least in sketches.)

Jimmy Fallon has mastered the two key tenets of lowest-common-denominator viral humor: "person who doesn't look like a 'gangsta' rapping" and "LOL remember the 90s?!"

I'm just trying to appreciate the little time we have left until the mainstream nostalgia comedy is from the 00's and the '10s, and then I really won't know what the hell is going on.

I didn't think it was particularly funny either but I'd give it an A for Effort. Girls still look good and Mark Paul is a performer. Lopez gives me Cosby type douche chills

Seriously. It looked like his whole body was suffering from an allergic reaction making him all puffy.

I wonder if it was something like that. I see him on stuff time to time, and he's pudgy, but never anything like that.

Here's a 2012 pic where he looks about that same size, just without the puffy look to his face. I'm guessing that was just a matter of lighting & makeup giving him too much sheen/plasticity.

He actually made an appearance at an ugly Christmas sweater party I attended this year (no I don't really know why either), and yes, he's very fat now.

I admit it - I'm mildly intrigued. Not enough to pay for Peacock, of course.

That was exactly my thought. Mainly to say screw you to NBC/Peacock over EPL coverage though.

For me, that trailer hit all the right notes of nostalgia, goofy nonsense, obsure superfan service, and a little of the Brady Bunch Movie style of, "what it might look like if this ridiculous little fictional universe actually existed in 2020."

Edit: The person who did the "Zack Morris is trash" and "Very Special Episode" Youtube videos is a writer on this. So I'm hoping that's indicative of the tone we'll get.

Yeah, Dashiell Driscoll(Zack Morris is Trash) is one of the only reasons I think this will be any good at all. MPG and TAT are barely going to be in it. I don't like Mario Lopez at all either.

Btw, I work with Max the Magician's brother. I don't think that is relevant, but it still cool.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but since it involves Mario Lopez...

And it's real - my wife said it's on the TV guide, but for 15 minutes only. So, it's a brilliant marketing piece by KFC.

If this was a real 2 hour movie, it would be more absurd than Sharknado.
