I believe you are right. Also, she looks good for someone approaching 57, I'd have never guessed she was that old.

Hopefully Wild Bill made it to the game tonight. I need him to urge Utah State to the final four!

I haven't seen much of that game- the evening has 3 games I really want to watch between K-State, Mizzou, and the Gonzaga-St Johns game so I haven't seen as much of any as I'd like.

Any Wild Bill sightings? I'm sure he'd be on tv

Unless they showed him before the game started, then no. I tuned in when it was 4-2 and I don't believe I've seen him. But I am back and forth from the game and the pc.

Wisconsin moves on for the 5th straight season. Now to see who they'll face, KSU or Utah St. Not sure who I'd rather face; at this rate for how Utah St is looking, I'd rather face them but with the inconsistency of KSU they wouldn't be a horrible matchup either.

St. Johns is looking horrible. Everyone just standing and watching on both ends of the floor. I didn't realize how much Kennedy meant on the post to them.

Just showed him. Wearing normal clothes over the top of a Dorothy outfit. That's why they are losing. I know it.

All you need to know about the State game is that Lucas has zero points.

Yeah, just saw that

From what I understand- doesn't he not dress up until the second half?

This is the K-State I remember, tho. I wasn't sure who to pick in this game and I was thinking whoever wins this game goes to the Sweet 16. That said, Wisconsin looked pretty good, tho, so maybe I was wrong on that account.

Green is having a huge game. Summers just seems to be doing his typical 3rd wheel act. Lucas having his horrid night is really what is sinking the team. Even a normal low scoring game for him gets them close. Green should be huge next year and Roe will be also key, but where they are getting consistent offense with Lucas and Summers gone is going to be question #1.

Don't look now but MSU is down 3 with 42 seconds to go. They just missed the second part of the two free throws to just be down 2 instead. lol

I had a pretty good feeling that one of the Big East's 6 seeds would go out tonight, but I really thought it would be Cincy (b/c I thought they were a bad matchup for Missouri).

Cannot believe how awful St. John's has played. I didn't think they were a major threat, but I certainly thought they would show up and probably win one game.

Wow. 4.4 seconds and a 1 point game now. Big three and on the previous possession Green missed a wide open three and then UCLA went on to miss both free throws anyway. Could be one of those miracle shots coming up soon.

I really think its because they were all tired from the get go. Hardy on more than a few occassions when the team came together to talk before or after a free throw actually leaned his entire body weight on his teammates.

The style he loves to play needs some depth and they just dont have it at the moment. It should be fun watching how he changes the program even more when he gets his own kids in there.

I think his own kids would be the worst thing possible for Steve Lavin to have. Not unless they are playing Dunlap an ungodly amount of money to stick around as an assistant.

Oh, I'm also a Lavin (the coach) hater. Last time he faced Gonzaga, he was caught asking an assistant coach if they played man or zone defense. This wasn't some mid-week quote, it was during warmups, less than 30 minutes before the game.

10-6 on the first day is not encouraging for my bracket, especially not when I have more upsets picked today than yesterday.

edit to add: The one silver lining is that I only lost one Sw16 team in the bunch.

12-4 for me. Missed on Louisville, Vandy (should have known better), Michigan State, and Utah State. Not bad, but not great either. I'm going to need Temple to make the deep run I predicted in order to win my big bracket.

Parting with Pearl may be a little easier after this debacle of a second half. Anyone who has watched the Vols this year knows this kind of mess far too well though, Hopson is an occasional player who shows up when he's in the mood. Harris is legit but painfully young. Beyond those two, there's not much on the roster & nothing that can shoot anything tougher than a layup.

Once Michigan went to the 1-3-1 and forced Tennessee to shoot, they were done. I know Tennessee struggled with their shooting but this is just nuts. Just seem very undisciplined today.

When the season started who would have thought that Michigan would be on its way to round 2 (and yes, tomorrow starts round 2, today is round 1 no matter what the NCAA says) with Michigan State on its way back home?

No shame in the Oakland performance. They came to play. Texas has lacked the killer instinct all season when they've had teams down.

Hopefully Hopson will take his disappearing act to Europe next year. One good game in 6 NCAA appearances, today isn't really anything new for Vol fans.

During the talking heads segment after Michigan-Tennessee, Barkley talked about how the team basically quit today. The panel, specifically the guy sitting to his right that I'm coming up blank on (was it Miller?) disagreed pretty much.

Fast-forward to post-game presser "Vols Fr F Tobias Harris: “We just didn’t play with no heart out there. ...We basically just quit.” "

Jon did you happen to hear Pearls interview after the game???

He said for the first time this season his situation was a distraction for the team and that he should have been able to coach them up better, however its also the first time they have been blown out like that.

Real interesting interview

There was other stuff asked, like if he thought he was going to be the coach next year, but I thought the other stuff was better
